DeathiZClarity -> Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/7/2013 21:25:03)

I find that Frysteland this year was very very dissapointing, unless you bought a $50 pre-order package to participate in the tourny, there was really nothing for you to do other than a few missions. Although I'm hoping the last week will be fun and exciting, I'm not getting my hopes up, becuase based of the recent releases, it isn't going to be very good.

What do you think of Frysteland so far this year?

Hun Kingq -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/7/2013 22:01:54)

It was very disappointing especially the tournament due to there was big balance issues and the power within the skills where greater for some classes than others given a huge head start.

How can an ultimate kill you with having 86 health while others can't?

How can they allow EMP and Atom Smasher be enable while keeping boosters disable?

There was too many issues for the tournament to even start.

Now that the unfair and unbalanced tournament have come to an end it is time for them to introduce the new skills they talked about for the new classes especially new ultimate's that they mentioned twice in Delta but kept hush hush.

^ about time cyber hunter became less of a BH

on topic: i thought it was a succes minus the balance problems

xGreen Warriorx -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/7/2013 22:18:41)

Frysteland this year and Omega were basically the same thing, so thinking about it that way I say it was a success. Also, the winter event really isn't over yet, there's the end of the mission chain coming tomorrow.

DeathiZClarity -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/7/2013 22:44:56)

^ Omega was kinda a dissapointment in the begining but I'm starting to be ok with it.

Oh, thats why those skills have been so good lately. I don't know how that didnt occur to me.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/7/2013 23:32:35)

Well, I might add that it was freaking cheap that a BH could erase the effects of atom smasher with a single booster, if the merc was lucky enough not to get blocked by the currently absurd block chance hunters hold. Also, I might add that EP removal skills weren't as OP as hun made them out to be, given the increase in max energy of all classes, and the fact that heavy-hit skills like massacre, artillery strike, zerker, etc... became a lot more effective in Omega, and one of the only ways to counter them is with EP removal. People are complaining that EP removers are really OP (admittedly, they do need a slight nerf in terms of cooldown/warmup), when if EP removers were severely nerfed or removed then massacre builds would pretty much kill us all.

ReconnaisX -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 0:44:17)

Well, it was a little boring.

Scyze -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 0:59:40)

This year's Fysteland event sucked. There is barely anything good to do unless you're participating. A great start to the 2013 season for EpicDuel!

I am not even bothered to play battles anymore since the game's boring and that's the main reason I didn't try to win. (I have 700 points somehow) Why waste 2 weeks of your life playing a dumb game when you can enjoy nature and other wonderful things of Earth.

The Cores are mostly useless; just like the game.[:D] (Not the ArchKnight!)

blade98 -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 3:51:55)

Way more boring that I thought it'll be .

Drianx -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 4:46:12)

Missions were really long and annoying, that's why I skipped most of them.

The Golden Yeti tournament hasn't even existed for me, being a casual player.

RageSoul -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 7:22:00)

Despite the fact i have luck issues , i kinda find Omega initially quite good . But the missions are all meh due to some of them being ridiculously too hard and long . But i still think it's a bit imbalanced though . I mean come on , luck-increase cores? Really?

Goony -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 7:27:40)

I thought the tournament was a great addition to the game features, the extended missions also contributed to more activity in the player vs player area... The introduction of the Omega release certainly had an effect on the content for Frysteland, but isn't it a bit early to judge the event since there is more content coming this week ;)

Baron Dante -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 7:44:58)

So we are discussing if an event is a success despite it not being over yet? .-.

You are not speaking about that mission where you must gather 50 yeti pelts that have about 10% drop rate from a deadly boring NPC, are you?

Scyze -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 7:52:48)

The Mission chain is just too long. It is mostly a waste of time and money doing these for barely any value.

Challenging the Yetis to get the Pelts is absolute junk. You could be battling for hours just to get one.

Really? Really? Really?

Calogero -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 7:55:18)

@ Neos

I tried getting pelts, then I decided to just use a bit of the 20 000 useless varium
that I have to get the yeti...

Scyze -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 7:57:12)

Lol, I don't have much Varium and won't even consider buying some.

Baron Dante -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 8:03:13)

Neos: Getting them from Frost Reapers ended up being infinitely faster. I'm yet to do the other 50 Pelt mission, but I will after the tourney concludes.

Wait there's more - I was speaking about a mission that requires pelts and awards tokens. You must have become bored before me lol.

Mother1 -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 9:36:08)

It seems everyone is forgetting to point of the missions. They were suppose to be long and hard for those who didn't want to spend varium to get the omega yeti's. The whole point behind them was to make Varium a short cut, and for those who didn't use it to really make them work for their yeti's.

Calogero -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 9:42:06)

But then again, there is a difference between a Hard mission and a Dreadfull mission...

Drianx -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 9:54:13)

@Mother1
I'm speaking about this mission, for Christ's sake.

Mother1 -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 10:00:54)

@ Drianx

I know and as I said the whole point of those extra missions were to make you truly work for your reward. If you look at older missions and compare them to these new ones other then the pumpkinclever mission where you needed to challenge 40 people they were a joke.

Do you really think anyone would have used varium to bypass these missions if the missions were as simple as getting a yeti pelt, or beating 15 people? I don't think so unless they are extremely lazy.

Calogero -> RE: Frysteland 2013: Success or Dissapointment? (3/8/2013 10:07:29)

@ Mother1

If they want to release quests like these then they should do it somewhat like the battle missions
Make it a high Number but the drop 50% for example, like 100 Pelts needed...
The Droprate now is just Bleh
