Ranloth -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/16/2013 16:08:44)

Then don't buy it. Don't expect cores to have game-changing effect such as Azrael had (and still somewhat does). If it doesn't suit your build, don't get it.

The Astral Fury -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/16/2013 16:17:40)

It should atleast be somehwhat helpul, not game changing bu helpful this isn't all that helpful and since it's a promo package and all it should atleast be worth the use.

Anyway it's not like I care wether it get's buffed or not (I won't be buying it), but I think the people who bought it should have a little bit of a better core.

I understand where your coming from though I think Azreals has given us such high expectations for cores lol

Ranloth -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/16/2013 16:23:49)

Only because it's a promo, it shouldn't have more power over other cores either. With Support build (around 100 Support), you will get 30 Support boost which isn't too bad. Or perhaps the problem is with usefulness of Support, or rather the lack of; doesn't improve Heal, no deflections, etc. If it had those, perhaps more players would like it.

Drianx -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/16/2013 16:27:11)

If you have 100+ support, the damage progression at that amount is too slow to matter.

rayniedays56 -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/16/2013 16:45:49)

I'm buying it next week. Only because...

IT SO PURDY :D:D

King Helios -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/16/2013 18:36:56)

I found a way to incorporate it into my build. If I am going to rage soon, but not yet and most everything is on cool down (e.g. aux + Malf), I will buff my Support, then Malf/Aux. it has the added benefit of increasing the debuff/damage and crit chance of the aforementioned attacks.

The skill requires...well...skill.

Clutch -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/17/2013 1:29:55)

@Trans
I agree that the initial azrael weps were too strong, but the devs realized this and changed it the very next week. And I think it's safe to assume that the devs undershot this core ability a tad bit. But remember, cores are still a brand new element of the game, so they can keep moving forward and learn what works and what doesn't. As for this core, I definitely think a buff of some sort is necessary because currently it is not on par with the other weapon cores. No one is asking for an unbeatable core, but I do feel the promos should provide a slight advantage than those who don't have them in battle.

Jekyll -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/17/2013 4:10:58)

Hmmm... Now that ED has shifted its focus to getting weapons for their looks, this new set of weapons doesn't appear to be as good as some of the other weapons already in-game. Quite a big difference between this and previous promotional offers, but still, kudos to the ED team for coming up with a new set of weapons every month thus far. It's hard, ideas will run dry, but I expect that future items will look better, so no worries there.

Remorse -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/17/2013 4:44:30)

I agree with trans,

I think some cores are still far too strong and should be nerfed to a standard across all cores regardless of promo status.

Nylaris -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/17/2013 5:12:17)

I reckon the core should be a passive. That would be fun. :)

Hottie19967 -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/17/2013 6:43:43)

Its a waste of money they should atleast increase the percentage of support buffed

kosmo -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/17/2013 6:48:35)

I like the promos(extremly cool looking) and i m happy they brought in game something that s alrady balanced and doesnt need any adjustment.+30% support looks very good to me and can help you in so many situations without giving you insane advangtage.

TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/17/2013 6:49:02)

@hottie if it is a waste of money then don't get it

King Helios -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/17/2013 9:59:04)

I agree with Nylaris, but if that happens, lower the % to about 15%.

ansh0 -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/17/2013 10:34:36)

It's fine as it is.

People are used to OP cores like the ones on Azrael gear.

It's balanced.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/17/2013 11:04:42)

Does that classify Omega Override as OP, as well as meteor strike? Those cores are easily superior to growth serum. Even if you did have high enough base support for growth serum to give you a significant boost, you'd have less overall endurance and it probably wouldn't even be worth the turn at all. The core itself has no practical use, so I don't really think its balanced.

SMGS -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/17/2013 12:02:49)

As mentioned in the forum rules - financial discussion is not allowed. If you feel the skill core of this item could use a buff or a nerf, please bring your discussions to the Balance Forum.

Giras Wolfe -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/18/2013 23:06:15)

Using it is like using level 1 technician or reflex boost.

It should also do like 70% unblockable strike damage when applied

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/19/2013 0:34:09)

Unblockable is pretty much the worst word that can be applied to any core...look at how much people use meteor shower, thorns assault, and jack-o-fire. And why 70%, why not 100%? Omega override strikes the opponent for 100% while debuffing 30% off the highest base stat.

ansh0 -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/19/2013 1:30:31)

^It also has a useless core taking up the passive slot and it's a phase promo.

arthropleura -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/19/2013 2:46:53)

The buff is good in theory i guess. However using a turn to increase your support which doesnt gain you health or armour isnt really tat great when the results dont grant you anything solid.

P.s. this guy had 130+30 support and used this to gain 39, ending up with 199 support. I stunned him xD

AQWorldsFarmer -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/19/2013 16:14:07)

quote:

Weak core? Seems like people have already gotten used to broken cores. Cores are NOT meant to give you a major advantage, they are supposed to aid you in battle

True, but using the skill core is actually waisting a turn, rather than aiding you.

Ranloth -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/19/2013 16:16:12)

So is Technician and Reflex Boost, yet players use them. Difference? Former requires training and costs EP to use, latter just depends on Support and costs nothing.

AQWorldsFarmer -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/19/2013 16:20:56)

Technichion and reflex give more than + 10-15. I dont know many peopel that use technichion and feflex for damage, they use them mostly for defence. The support doesn't help defence but rather raises 2 attacks by 3-4 damage.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Botanical Battlegear (3/19/2013 23:33:48)

@ansh0: It has a useless passive core too? What is it?
