^I view it as a moral act to attempt to reason with them, regardless of success. There are some people out there with hateful worldviews so deeply ingrained into their personality that the hatred becomes an integral part of who they view themselves as being. For these people, attempting to change their hateful views is tantamount to attempting to convince them that up is down and vice-versa. Attempting to reason with them is the furthest you can get, and any progress made toward changing their views is success beyond expectation. To put it simply: you can lead a man to school, but you cannot make him learn. Some people simply have no desire to hear any views that do not parrot their own. ACC: Enjoying my new job. ACC: More hours at higher pay means bigger paychecks, which means more money I can spend freely. ACC: Coworkers are all fairly intelligent, leading to interesting discussions during down time.
