lolo666 -> A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 1:36:07)

Come on guys!
Give them a break..

They made a game for us to be entertained!
and you treat them like that ?!

If you bought varium.. Is that their fault?!
It's your responsibility if you bought with your
own money!

Do you think the staff could easily change the balance
on a click of a finger?!

You guys think that it's easy to handle a game with
thousaands of players?!

Well think before your write something!
If you quit the game, dont spread it!
If you want balance, then suggest!

Stop Bad mouthing the staff.
There are thousands of other RPGs if you think
Epicduel is not right for you!

So, think of it!
Would you like it when you will present something
free to play to the public and then still get
Badmouthed?
Do you want to develop the game more when all
you get are complains?!

They have been working their whole time just to
provide us a game that can entertain us!

So, please stop your complains and
learn how to say a little thank you to a hardworking
staff.

You yourself isnt even perfect!
So, give respect to the staff even if they made a
game that you do not expect!

Give them respect for providing us a game..

It's not always what you guys want!

Mother1 -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 1:39:53)

You do know that negative feedback as long as it is constructive is a good thing right? If the staff got nothing but praise for what they do then they wouldn't have a clue about where they are going wrong. They do look for these forums for feedback to improve the game and that comes from both positive and negative feedback.

The Incredible Hulk -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 1:47:33)

That should go in here:

lolo666 -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 1:51:09)

I didnt say that we should praise them!
I know that complaining is one way to find the answer
on what the problem is

BUT!

It's too much already..
A little is okay but not that much!

there is a suggestion page where you could
suggest but without bad mouthing the staff

That is the problem here..
you just dont feel sorry for the staff.
You could suggest by not badmouthing right?

Mother1 -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 1:57:24)

Well people who love the game are having tons of frustrations due to bad balance, and many other things. Most want to vent their anger and how do they do it? They post it here in the forums.

RageSoul -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 1:57:58)

@lolo

Question is , do they feel sorry for those that they ignored with great ideas / with better feedback ? If we spoil them much on positive , then don't even bother getting your feedback read / mentioned .

EDIT : ninja'd by Mother1

Actually, this game is broken in so many fundamental ways that quite literally the entire battle system needs to be redone. So technically, there is never enough complaining because the entire core game system (pvp) is broken, and biult around fundamentally flawed mechanics.

kosmo -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 2:39:10)

lolo666.
dont worry as soon as possible all the complainers will quit and they will be replaced from a better comunity that doesnt acutally see ED as a pay 2 win game.
the majority of the complainers are like that just because they hate the way they are winning and they wont the gap and the easy wins back.
onestly im loving omega, and i find the balance good if compared to all other phases, but most of all i appriciate the dev's work, because i think that they are just tring to make this game better, and for what i sow they already did a great job, so tnx guys for giving me a fun game that i could enjoy for the past 5 years.

quote:

That won't happen, unfortunately. Interest for ED has been steadily dropping over the last half a year or so.

quote:

that doesnt acutally see ED as a pay 2 win game.

You don't get to make a choice as to whether or not you see it as a pay2win game. It is a pay2win game, that is a fact. Paying allows you to win more frequently compared to those who do not.

quote:

the majority of the complainers are like that just because they hate the way they are winning and they wont the gap and the easy wins back.

I was about to say something, but then i realized that this is actually true, and almost nobody is trying to legitimately help the game like I am with their complaints.

kosmo -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 2:54:46)

i never lost 1 battle on u and u are full of those arzel gear.
so this is not a pay 2 win game

Mother1 -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 2:58:17)

@ kosmo

Just because you didn't lose to someone who pay/earn varium for the promo doesn't mean others haven't lost to people who do this. If everyone never lost to someone using a promo in omega that means the game is still pay to win.

kosmo -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 3:00:28)

so why all of those 90% in lb are of non varium players?
(im going 2 school cya complainers.....)

Xendran -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 3:06:19)

Kosmo. If paying lets you win any more frequently or gives any sort of advantage over other players, it is pay to win. This is a fact, you don't get an opinion on a fact.

quote:

i never lost 1 battle on u and u are full of those arzel gear.
so this is not a pay 2 win game

I don't think i've ever fought you, and claiming that i have azrael gear is a flat out lie that anybody can check by looking at my character page.

zion -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 6:27:08)

Xendran as usual is correct here. The devs made Varium worth less than previous phases, but they made a $50 promo set that was devastatingly game-breaking = the worst of all worlds in terms of p2w: Previous supporters of the game had their advantage taken away only to be replaced by anyone willing to buy a $50 game-breaking promo set?!? How could you not take it any other way than "we want to sell as many of these sets as possible?"
Positive criticism: Since balance in this game is always balancing on the point of a needle, please test and re-test an item that introduces new functionality and get input from the players! If the devs had merely introduced the concept on the forums, many pros like Xendran would have said: "Do you know how devastating a forced strike can be - for sure shouldn't waste rage... etc." Or "Eating up someone's shield would be terrible in such-and-such situation(s)."

kosmo -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 7:18:10)

kosmo is not my charters name, so obiusly u cant know who i am.
maybe u know better a guy named KREPAX or urFEAR.
back to the discussion, arzels are not so gamebraking te fact they deal 85% dmg makes them quite balanced (the aux stays near 2 useless, debuffing shields whit a 10dmg aux its not tht good).

Noobatron x3000 -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 7:42:14)

Of course they knew they knew exactly what it would do and it was intentional they wanted to keep p2w in the game from the beginning. Although why people bought into it after delta, I'll never know. Broken promises are hardly anything new for this team. I honestly believe at this point the way forward for this game is to bring a new team in get rid of the old. I know its risky and not as simple as that but i personally believe things have got that desperate for this game . And if the times since beta have proved anything it is that the current team are not capable of fixing the most basic problems let alone the more advanced problems.

odsey -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 8:08:09)

@Lolo666 That message in the first post is a very good post, even one of the most good post in Ed GD.

I agree with you. They have try to make the game really hard. They listen to some post. And if there is some post that doesn;t get the attention of the staff, maybe the post is not constructive? They may not be perfect/this may not be a perfect game, but I know the staff will make good changes. All of the ED staff will have my gratitude forever.-Odsey

Purely opinion-based blaterely.

I will not go into this within the detail as it is waste of my time.
I will give you one question, which you can only answer with ''broken'' or ''their intended product'', which would state my point immediatly.

A chair-designer is thinking of some new product.
He thinks off the weirdest things, like technical gadgets, a cup holder or maybe even seat heating.
But then, he thinks of something unique, a chair with only 3 legs.
He designs it, and eventually sells it.
Now people start complaining and calling it broken etc etc.
But, since it is his design, it is intended, which makes it not broken.

The question:
Is ED really ''broken'' or is it the developers intended product?

The right answer is, and can only be, their intended product.
Only way it could ever be broken, is when the designers themselves confirm it to be so as it is their product.
Calling it broken is purely your own opinion, as (with the chair example) you are used to 4 legs, but since the design is 3, it cannot ever be called broken.

Do you think the staff could easily change the balance
on a click of a finger?!

We're not saying it's easy for them. We're simply giving out opinions that may or may not improve the game. Also, only -they- could change the game. Programmers in this thread could change it, however, there's a fancy copyright- Meaning that only the holders may edit their product.

You guys think that it's easy to handle a game with
thousaands of players?!

We're not saying its easy. However, they made this their career. If they're not capable, then they're not fit for this sort of job. Simple, yet realistic.

Well think before your write something!
If you quit the game, dont spread it!
If you want balance, then suggest!

Oh, but we are giving out feedback on balance, however, most of it felt short. Making a suggestion is taking shots at a hidden enemy in the dark, you don't know if it will hit (Meaning they take the suggestion).

Stop Bad mouthing the staff.
There are thousands of other RPGs if you think
Epicduel is not right for you!

Personally, I've been polite and I've been discussing some issues in a logical manner. I don't say "ED is broken", nor do I say "You guys suck." I'm just laying out the problems.

So, think of it!
Would you like it when you will present something
free to play to the public and then still get
Badmouthed?
Do you want to develop the game more when all
you get are complains?!

Of course not. This freemium game (Where free-to-play exists, but is limited) is a marketing ploy. The whole point is to get customers to think "Ooo, if I upgrade, I'll get these benefits." It applies to all f2p games with p2p mixed in.

Without complaints, you wouldn't know what's wrong- Imagine being given the ability to never feel pain, you think you're fine, until you die from some unknown disease that could have been detected by the feeling of pain.

They have been working their whole time just to
provide us a game that can entertain us!

Realistically speaking, we're consumers. If a supplier cannot satisfy its consumers, then the consumers will go away.

So, please stop your complains and
learn how to say a little thank you to a hardworking
staff.

Read my reply above.

You yourself isnt even perfect!
So, give respect to the staff even if they made a
game that you do not expect!

We're not saying we're perfect. We do respect their capability to create games, we're just stating problems- Although some players prefer to state their opinions instead.

It's not always what you guys want!

Customer's always right. No customers mean no pay.

Welcome to reality.

The bottom line is they made this game so they can have a livelihood. I'm pretty sure not a single one of them is doing it for free.

With that being said, I do thank them for making the game.

Along the way I've been unhappy with a few decisions made, but I still keep coming back for more. I guess that means they've done a few things right too.

Stabilis -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 9:58:45)

I see 1 quote that goes,

quote:

Customer's always right. No customers mean to pay.

You may be thinking "the customer is always wanted". On many personal occasions the customer says that the price is not right- then we discover that the customer is undeniably wrong. Not even in pricing, we have loony customers that say we are avoiding them when we are approaching them- the customer is wrong again.

Khalix -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 10:04:12)

Not really, no.

I just prefer using sayings like that so people would relate to it easily.

I can assume some would think me as a "Dominating" from that post- Not really, no.

Kiing of Frost -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 10:12:48)

Just like to say thanks to Hulk, That is my post ;) and also i agree with some of your statements, while others confused me, i believe in constructive criticism which in definition of paraphrase is to criticize a noun albeit it proper or not in a way as to build up, which in very basic form is not complaining.
Stay Frosty My Friends

Mysterion. -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 10:25:27)

quote:

If a ''customer'' does not pay for goods, it is not a customer.

Ranloth -> RE: A Thank You For The Staff and A Message To Complainers (5/22/2013 10:27:19)

Customer isn't always right. If he was, there'd be no business. He may be right but that's his opinion, not everyone will share the same one and unless justified, then it's just an opinion. Mysterion is covering it quite nicely here. You stop being a customer once your stop paying.
