Silver Sky Magician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 10:34:29)

How do I enlarge the game screen? It remains at that unhealthily tiny corner no matter what I do.

Vagaran -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 10:35:56)

@Silver
I don't think it's possible to enlarge the game screen ATM.

Riniti -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 10:39:49)

@Silver You can't re-size the game- dunno why yours is so small. What you can do, however, is go to your internet browser settings and change the zoom.

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:09:55)

Oh I'm back here.

Skurge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:10:52)

*Sniff* :')

I never knew Ironhide could pose such a threat to Poisons and MoD's like that.

Cheers!

Fallen Crest -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:11:28)

I <3 6 Ironhides in a row.

Skurge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:13:46)

@Fallen Crest:

Don't we all?

If you look closely, I had two more lined up.. Just in case. [;)]

Cheers!

Fallen Crest -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:15:10)

Oh man, reminds me of the perma freeze days.

Skurge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:17:50)

I was actually kind of confused. I thought Ironhide absorbs a total of 2,000 Damage over two turns.

I never knew it was 2,000 damage per turn, for two turns. Maybe I bugged myself into victory?

Edit: @Andlu:
Welcome back! Glad to have you here again, Mate.

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:18:16)

Looks like the break from Oversoul is over. Time to return to the forums, and to the game itself! Yay!

Fallen Crest -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:22:17)

Iron Hide, from what I remember, has always blocked 2,000 per turn. Unblockables can't go through it either*, so it's pretty much invincibility for 2 rounds.

*Before the new interface and stuff, unblockables didn't go through it, I'm not sure if that changed, however.

I had 9 poisons, and 4 MoD's stacked on you in total. Total of 14,400 damage. Total of 78 charge.

At 2000 blocked per round, for 12 rounds, you blocked 24,000 damage. Total of 30 charge.

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:23:57)

@Scherzo Thanks mate! Well Cool that priest of Ver master form IS free, but not the maiden master :x

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:28:56)

This is making me dread the neutral card series more and more.

Axel459 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:32:00)

@Scherzo That was a fun little match so many iron hides though [:@]

necro rouge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:33:10)

@fallen crest
Iron hide blocks everything (including unblockables, which is Just wrong) except recoil damage from counter strike and void reflection. So, if you're up against a neutral character with IH, I would suggest having one or two VRs.

Skurge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:33:24)

@Axel459:

Indeed! Gotta love em' Ironhides!

*Mumble* You still won with full HP though *Grumble* *Mumble* [&:]

Cheers!

Fallen Crest -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:38:33)

@necro: Void Reflection proves useless when an opponent can block 1000 damage for 6 charge compared to VR's 13. On top of blocking ALL incoming damage, because Iron Hides shields bypass the shield cap, essentially allowing you to have 4000 shield, although 2000 of it is temporary.

necro rouge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 18:49:31)

@fallen crest
It is not useless at all. It is a card that you can use wheever your opponent goes on IH streaks. It blocks 1000 damage as well as dealing 1000 through IH, making IH an energy waste. It is actually cost efficient too, with a collected price of 1 less than 2 5attacks and 2 shields put together.

Edit: @fallen crest
You are completely forgetting that void reflection does damage along with shielding. And that you can stack shields while they stack iron hides. A neutral character would have to spend 14 energy to achieve the same effects as one VR. That makes them spend 19 energy total. For those 19 energy, you could set up a void reflection +2 shields.

What you have got to keep in mind is that iron hide is a temporal effect card. You pay a price for an effect that may or may not be usefull at all. The essence of fighting IH spammers is to utilize this to your advantage. Because of their IH spam, they will spend a whole lot of energy on an effect that will be useless if they are not attacked. Also, because they are essentially chopping their energy gain in half by samming the hides, you will have an easy time blocking anything they throw at you.

IH is also reliant on luck, if the stream of iron hides stop for even a second, the spammer will lose all of his momentum.

Fallen Crest -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 19:39:50)

You'll also lose charge when you don't gain any defensive cards. The charge cap will do this, or you using any cards that Iron Hide will block.

VR is also reliant on luck. You lose ahold of it, you lose charge to the opponent from what's stated above, and they can attack you.
Reflection-Like cards are limited to Shadow and Neutral characters.

Even when Iron Hide spam stops, it will quickly pick up again, and a spammer can build a defense behind Iron Hide to counter the rounds the player is without it. Iron Hide's shields are seperate from the players own shields, allowing them to build even under its affects.

Neutral would be severely overpowered if it was ever to gain a unblockable-like card.

Either way, everything is situational. I still believe Iron Hide is another perma-freeze-like card that's easily abusable. Especially if it is ever put into CC.

necro rouge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 126 - READ THE FIRST POST (6/5/2013 19:53:41)

@fallen crest
I agree that ironhide is overpowered and should be limited to one per deck. However, shadow is actually one of the counters simply because of VR.

And VR can also stack with shields.
