dont give up -> infernal andriod (7/10/2013 19:12:41)

Hi all..
This is not a complaint thread by the way.
Who ever using this robot do you guys think its balance when you have to wait for this robot special and have it deflect even its a one time use only?
Is that a balance robot. Like, what do you guys think who uses this robot, is OK or not. do you think infernal need changes or stay having deflection on special with one time use only.
Please discuss....
No flaming too and have a nice day..

Mother1 -> RE: infernal andriod (7/10/2013 19:26:06)

I feel the infernal android is as close to being balanced then ever before. Oh god before the laser was made 1 time use this bot was vastly overpowered. It's laser was always spammed just about every rage a person had, and thanks to it being able to do over 100% damage defenses were worthless.

it got the nerfs it needed to knock it off that pedestal it was one for the longest.

Predator9657 -> RE: infernal andriod (7/10/2013 21:54:28)

It does seems a bit UP. If you get deflected that special is pretty much rendered useless.

Dual Thrusters -> RE: infernal andriod (7/10/2013 23:57:11)

I actually don't mind now that IA is deflectable. Well first it doesn't cost any energy. And it's worse when you have a rage berserker blocked, rage max bludgeon etc.

I guess it's pretty balanced.

ED Divine Darkness -> RE: infernal andriod (7/11/2013 14:39:00)

You could just nerf the max power of the special to 120% ( i dont want that to happen) and make it undeflectable?
or just make it hav same power and undeflectable?

Mother1 -> RE: infernal andriod (7/11/2013 14:47:37)

@ divine darkness

the laser with rage even with all the nerfs it has had is still powerful in the hands of focus 5 tech spammers. Having the laser unaffected by stats again would once again put it back on the pedestal that it needed to get knocked off of (in other words overpower it)

ED Divine Darkness -> RE: infernal andriod (7/11/2013 14:53:36)

how would no deflection OP it? if u hav high tec they would be lucky to deflect it anyways.
If it does become OP, reduce its power by 10%.
I dont know, but that seems reasonable to me.

Mother1 -> RE: infernal andriod (7/11/2013 14:58:46)

I see the laser hit 40-50 with these tech abuse builds when it is raged and it is not deflected. Even more when the laser crits a person. You don't call that overpowered? lowing the power by ten percent will only chance this to 36-45 damage which is still a lot for robot damage even combined with rage.

ED Divine Darkness -> RE: infernal andriod (7/11/2013 15:01:13)

... Fine. make it so that it cant crit either ok?
and it isnt OP. it can only be used once

Dual Thrusters -> RE: infernal andriod (7/11/2013 15:05:01)

So you're suggesting that: It's damage is capped at 120%, and it can't crit. Um, no. Even if is is unblockable, it seems more like a nerf T_T

Mother1 -> RE: infernal andriod (7/11/2013 15:07:43)

@ dual thrusters

Not if you are looking for a free hit that isn't affected by luck. For many it would be a grantee way of ensuring max damage output without consequence.

Dual Thrusters -> RE: infernal andriod (7/11/2013 18:13:46)

yea, but the max damage would be pathetic :/

Midnightsoul -> RE: infernal andriod (7/11/2013 18:22:39)

IA is good how it is. It's had its time.

If I could suggest anything to make it more appealing. I'd have the laser repeatable STARTING from 130-140% damage and as each turn passes, it decreases by 5-7% until it hits around 75-85%

Predator9657 -> RE: infernal andriod (7/12/2013 9:59:20)

That sounds reasonable.

Mother1 -> RE: infernal andriod (7/12/2013 10:05:00)

@ Predator9657

It does if you want to know that later down the line you will get destroyed by a laser that can do 40-50 damage with rage without no chance of surviving it. focus 5 high tech stall builds will make a comeback with this big time, and it will once again put that bot back on it's god pedestal.

I Underlord I -> RE: infernal andriod (7/12/2013 11:08:58)

There is nothing "balanced" about Infernal Android. It's normal attack is simply not worth using for most even at level 5 focus, and if the special is deflected... too bad.

Mother1 continuously refers to IA's pedestal, but doesn't talk about how other robots have been and are on such pedestals also.

Mother1 -> RE: infernal andriod (7/12/2013 12:02:40)

@ underlord

did you play through the infernal war and get the bot when it first came out? The bot was overpowered ever since day one. People quit the game at one point just because of the bot. I even remember everyone who quit saying "I am quitting now, and I am not coming back until this bot get's nerfed"

Plus even after this nerf this bot was still extremely overpowered. As it is now it has finally some sort of balance.

But on another note what other bots are on a pedestal or were on pedestal's? I would like to know.

ED Divine Darkness -> RE: infernal andriod (7/12/2013 13:48:20)

botanical/ dark botanical hazard, azrael borg( not that op tho), and gamma

lionblades -> RE: infernal andriod (7/14/2013 19:53:33)

i like infernal as is right now...
before you could spam robot for 60 dmg per rage

Dual Thrusters -> RE: infernal andriod (7/14/2013 19:59:19)

^

That's how I beat my juggs back then :P

AQWorldsFarmer -> RE: infernal andriod (7/14/2013 20:29:11)

I loved that short period of time when I was doing 95+ damage with Infernal Andriod...it was epic even though it was extremely unbalanced.

Then it was nerfed...then a few months later everyone got use to the nerfed damage and said it was way to powerful and it was nerfed...AGAIN.

But I think its still a good robot, when used correctly.

My problem is that dang yeti bot.

Dual Thrusters -> RE: infernal andriod (7/15/2013 1:17:35)

@underlord

You do realize that the bot's normal attack is practically the same as all the other ones -.-

Exploding Penguin -> RE: infernal andriod (7/15/2013 11:20:58)

In response to some posts on this thread...it doesn't matter what happened in the past with the bot being OP or UP compared to others; what only matters is whether or not the bot is balanced right now, and unfortunately I have to agree with the fact that it deals minimal damage on its normal attack and its special can only do massive damage at its peak cap on rage (in which case you'd be lucky to hit 50).

Necromantres -> RE: infernal andriod (7/16/2013 7:05:46)

i don't wait to the cap and as a tech spammer (aka caster) i still do on rage 30-40 damage even on tanks. Your argument it's invalid.
Besides it seems OP only because it's used as the final blow

I'd have the laser repeatable STARTING from 130-140% damage and as each turn passes, it decreases by 5-7% until it hits around 75-85%

I can already see a tech spammer like a caster using max malf, IA, plasma bolt if it were that way.

Please take a look at this badly-made chart. I apologize beforehand for any inaccuracies, especially concerning how many times an effect can be used.

Assault Bots: 15 Damage; repeatable powerful effect (nerfs debuffs on self or ally)
Pyro Fly: 15 Damage; [repeatable?] relatively powerful effect (disables one of an enemy's three highest moves for the remainder of the battle)
Infernal Android: 15 Damage; one-time varyingly powerful attack that can be deflected, useful only in later rounds
Azrael's Borg: 16 Damage; [repeatable?] powerful effect (nerfs an opponent's buff)
Bio Borg: 16 Damage; [repeatable?] powerful effect (reflects half of melee damage taken to opponents)
Yetis: 16 Damage; repeatable powerful effect (forces secondary and auxiliary weapons to cooldown)
Bunny Bots: 17 Damage; [repeatable?] relatively powerful effect (hurts an opponent if they attempt to strike in a duration)
Gamma Bot: 17 Damage; repeatable physical AND energy attacks
Warrior Yetis: 17 Damage; repeatable powerful effect (forces secondary and auxiliary weapons to cooldown)
Golden Yeti: 18 Damage; repeatable powerful effect (forces secondary and auxiliary weapons to cooldown)
Omega Yetis: 18 Damage, can be charged +1; repeatable powerful effect (forces secondary and auxiliary weapons to cooldown)
