I haven't bothered looking at any entries aside from Beck's. Glad I didn't enter the Art competition.

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 14:17:15)

I sent two art submissions, but my problem is that there are way too many artists to compete against so my chances are seriously slim when it comes to that category.

Axel459 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 14:18:43)

I entered my cute little Chimera Moose which I know doesn't stand a chance against the amazing art some of you entered

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 14:24:48)

@Mondez
Did you notice that Necrosis was given more Bloodrages than the one you listed in your suggestion?

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 14:28:38)

@Jop
Really? Oh well at least it gives him some more attack advantage. [:D]

Redingard -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 14:31:58)

So, no one cares for my collaboration thing? Okay. That's cool. That's fine. Meh. [&:]

But yeah. In terms of the submissions, there don't seem to be that many. A lot more for art than writing, anyways.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 14:33:32)

@Mondez
My Arch Lich can attest to that.

Cyber doom5 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 14:35:32)

If i have to lose I hope it's to beck his dragon was awesome

And no offense to you mondez I really liked your entries but in the writing category
I will be quite annoyed if you win

Because I'm a firm believer in the concept that a person shouldn't be allowed to win twice in a row in the same catagory

To keep it fair for everyone

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 14:46:43)

Well I'm going to ask Nulgath to create a new rule concerning the winners that they can send in submissions, but they are not eligible for the finals until the next contest. Would that be fair for everyone?

Cyber doom5 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 14:50:46)

I'm so glad you feel that way

It's competent unfair to those who haven't had a win

Asuka -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 14:55:27)

I think I'm going to clear this up.

Entries are allowed by whoever, no matter if "They win twice in a row"
If the entry catches the eyes of Nulgath then so be it. A LOT the submissions are looked at.

If a past winner wants to enter again, sure. I don't see the problem with that.
Remember, YOU are the voters who have the power in what gets picked!

Ultimately, you guys decide which character wins!

Thanks for not looking at mine ;-;

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 14:58:13)

It's not a lottery in that it takes skill to win again, but I would prefer if everyone had a chance to get an entry in game. Besides, we only count for one vote each, which can't counteract the dozens of people who vote for an evil looking shadow character every time.

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 14:59:21)

Don't get me wrong I commit to fair play and also I do admit that even past winners should be allowed to qualify to the finals. In a sense I go both ways. Cyber brings up a good point, but so does Asuka. Universally it really is up to the voters on what they want and I am a person that can't choose one over the other.

The issue on the evil character issue on picking is pretty much a mental thought because they are walking eye candy and don't get me wrong, but majority of the evil characters have this type of appeal that good guys usually lack.

Cyber doom5 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 15:01:50)

@asuka

We don't get to pick who is in te finals

So how is it fair if the same person gets in everytime

I'm just goin to point out that in almost every ligitimant compition
A person is not eligable to win two times in a row

I know I'm not the only artist who would like it if the artists like Drakon and migo only got to win every other contest

Riniti -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 15:03:14)

In this whole debate, I'd say that it's not wrong for a person to win a second time... as long as they don't win for the sole reason that they had won last time. As I can't see that happening- as people will judge based on the quality of the art/writing- it would be fine either way. Whoever has the best entry should win, no matter how many times they have won.

Asuka -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 15:04:55)

It actually is. Once the finalists are picked via staff then the players are allowed to vote which one you like most.

If a past winner is in the finals, then he or she is in.

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 15:05:36)

@Cyber
Problem is that you can't be sure if the person will win every single time because it really is up to the voters and the voters have preferences to pick what they like. Art and writing contests both fall into that line of commitment and you really can't say, "This person won this many times," when he/she worked just as hard as everyone else and maybe even harder.

If you lose then work harder to win. It is simple as that.

Please do note a contest is a competition of skill on how far you will go with your abilities to get people to vote for you.

@Below Cyber
That's not a nice statement considering what he stated were fair and valid points.

Cyber doom5 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 15:10:56)

I got to say Asuka is like one of the only people who feels that winners should be allowed to go on a wining spree

And sorry to say but it's all about playing " the game"
Make wha people want to see and you will get in the finals

I'm sorry if they were mean comments but

In what world is it fair to allow te same person to win multiple times in a row?

And my comment about almost all real life contests was completely ignored

Riniti -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 15:13:01)

@Cyberdoom I feel that way, as long as he/she put in the work to deserve it. You can't win a 'winning spree' unless you're good enough.

EDIT: And your last point isn't valid at all.

DarkLore -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 15:16:28)

I'm so mad. I entered DarkLore in the contest and he's not showing up in the #Oversoul hastag!

Cyber doom5 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 15:16:33)

GRRR I done I'm not sure how this turned into a cyber raging fest (I know how it happened)

I'm done before I get in trouble

@darklore
I feel the same way none of mine showed up either so I'm hoping I'm doing something wrong an it did show up

So I posted the stories to the forums as well

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 15:19:33)

Well right now I'm hoping my submissions of either Mon Dez or Rayzu get into the finals for the writing segment although Rayzu can use some work with his backstory.

Cyber doom5 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 15:21:46)

I keep getting comments saying Oh your grammar sucks

I keep saying its not a grammar contest its s story contest

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 15:27:34)

Mine is not showing up when searching #Oversoul either. Good thing I posted on the forums too.

Cyber doom5 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 130 - READ THE FIRST POST (8/31/2013 15:30:15)

It seems to be a broken method of entering why can't they just make a forum thread for enteries
