Today TLaPD release will be the first release I will be doing ever since I returned. Not to mention its a coincidence that last year's TLaPD was one of the first release I did. [:D] I can't wait to possess the new AP and Mana Guardian if he is release alongside the new AP later. For some reason, the new AP don't really seem like an evolution of last year's AP. The new AP look more like a variation of last year's AP.

I just got Dark Incarnate, which is the last shop character I didn't have, so I'm back to having all the free characters. I'm also broke, but that's not important.

@Jop That's quite ironic, you got all the SG shop characters but not all the gold shop character until now. With your x-boosts, you can be rich again. The forum is really dead. I thought the preview of the new AP in the DN will cause the forum to be a bit lively by discussing if the new AP is a variation of last year's AP or not.

Hello there, Welp, I've got some pretty conclusive proof that the Pirate in the Design Notes are an evolution for Alpha Pirate. The rune color differentiation alone was a sign that they were not the same character, but if you right-click on the Pirate's picture and click 'Copy image URL' or 'Open image in new tab/window,' then you see that the filename is this- http://oversoul.artix.com/images/preview/PirateAlpha1-Water-N-Vet1.png . I'd say that's conclusive enough to say that the Pirate in the DN's is definitely an evolution for Alpha Pirate. This isn't to say that the old one won't be returning (if I remember correctly, Nul confirmed that Alpha Pirate would return) but it certainly proves we have a new character/evolution for Alpha Pirate. @Riniti Hello Riniti. I never thought of that method. Well, if its a new evolution for AP, my AP is already ready to level up but I will need to hunt down another AP which will be a difficult task since I never forgot he is hard to encounter and capture.

...Can someone upload the two AP's together? I'm not seeing much difference, though if it gets a better deck I will SO evolve it. And for all I know the main difference may be in the animations.

@Megakyle Here. http://i39.tinypic.com/21afuqf.png Not much difference, just a slightly updated sword and gun, as well as some color changes (rune is slightly lighter on the new one, cloak/coat is now brown as opposed to blue, and other small shading things).

Hrrrm... it looks different enough to be a alternate version to the old one to appease rare hunters, but not different enough to be a Evo to me. I would expect a evo of AP to look a little more different and better. So yeah, gonna go with alternate version.

It would be nice if AP have an evolution consider his deck is really good for an apprentice rank. But the new AP's appearance really don't like an evolution of last year's AP. Usually the evolution of one character to another will involve some changes in size and armor. In this case, the new AP don't have any much changes except for different colour of robes and his weapons are much more shinier than the old AP's weapon. I do take it that this is really a variation of AP although I don't know if I should be happy for another variant of AP. If its a variant of VK, I would be happy.

I always felt like AP would evolve into something like Davy Jones from PoTC or Captain Davey from DF, though if that is his evo it's just a veteran from so we could get something amazing fro a master form or legendary (if he gets one)

I shall hunt down every pirates no matter what. This new AP will be a great addition to my team. @axel From a human pirate figure to become an undead sea pirate or a sea creature pirate, that's going to be interesting.

Alpha Pirate still looks as awesome as ever, and I will finally be able to possess him. I hope that we get a lot more content with today's update too.
