i hope for when ever they make a new card pack for neutral that they include neutralize in it because it would open up a whole new level of battles.

Bad idea is bad in terms of balancing.

Please be civil, the posts in question have been deleted as they were off-topic and worded in a matter which was unacceptable.

Legendary void will have shadowfire.

Pennocki_ -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 16:28:44)

how can you possibly know that........

Gorillo Titan -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 16:30:01)

All legendary characters besides the character design drakon get shadowfire when they hit legendary.

Pennocki_ -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 16:32:55)

nulgath might decide to make a new card to replace shadowfire , at the minute your just guessing
yet so am I so we just have to wait and see

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 16:33:43)

Shadowfire isn't too useful anymore, it's just compressing two 500s into one card.

Gorillo Titan -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 16:35:00)

For a shadow character its pretty useful since you don't have to worry about health loss.

In my opinion shadowfire is the legendary card for shadows like retribution.

Axel459 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 16:37:54)

I'm hoping for 3 MoD in VKs legendary deck I mean I like Poison but MoD is much better IMO.

Gorillo Titan -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 16:40:04)

Vod should be dual elements give it a corruption

the warden -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 16:51:43)

Axel459: I agree with that MOD is way better then poison.
still looking forward to seeing the evols

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 16:54:25)

That depends on how long the battles are. If poison runs its 4-turn course, then it's better than MoD. Plus MoD can be easily blocked by iron hide, whereas poison can only be partly blocked.

Cyber doom5 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 16:58:24)

i hope they make Void Knight LGND dual element

i want it to have neutralize so i can diversify what his attacks are

Gorillo Titan -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 17:05:23)

I wish AE had an online newspaper that would give us info on what was coming as far as updates for the month or if we aren't getting one.

@Gorillo Titan: You don't have to worry about health loss with 500-Attacks either, and 500-Attacks can be boosted with Empower. That being said, it does have the benefit over two 500-Attacks of making room for an extra card in your hand, but its 125% energy efficiency is unimpressive considering Shadow character's other options, particularly Poison which is 200% efficiency (210% CC'd), Defend which is 167% efficiency (172% CC'd), and Mark of Death which is 150% efficiency (158% CC'd), so early on I'd rather discard cards like Shadowfire and 500-Attacks (unless I can Empower) to make way for more efficient cards. When the end is near and I'm confident enough not to worry about preserving an advantage then I'll happily smack away though.

It's true that ShadowFire is currently Legendary-only, but Retribution isn't as it comes with Pactonal Captain which is a Master and can also be CC'd when ShadowFire can't. Light characters' Legendary-only card is Greater Heal, which is significantly better than ShadowFire with its instant 200% efficiency. It's also of note that Retribution passes through counters and ShadowFire does not.

@Axel: It depends in part on whether there's time for Poison to run its course, but if there's time for it to then it does 50% more per energy than Mark of Death. That being the case, I prefer having as many Poisons as possible early so that I can get the full extent of the damage of as many of them as possible and then swing in for the finish with attack cards. I generally use Marks whenever I can get them, but I would rather open with Poison for sure. I do prefer Mark of Death to Poison at lower levels though since there's less time.

EDIT: Jop ninja'd me again

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 19:23:59)

For me, I had great patient about nulgath helping out the omni project so it can help OS to gain popularity. SG package is definitely the key to increase the funds for OS. Beside, the fact we still have release and not to mention a very good release, I am pleased that there is no reason to complain. My hope for OS is that it will gain popularity than AQW even if its AE major game because I can tell OS potential to be a greater AE game than any other I ever play but I still do like other AE game.

MoD is a great DoT than poison in terms if its number of turn and damage. VK having 3 MoD would be a killer but it may be fun to use it.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 19:36:23)

@Mega
Well, it's worse in terms of damage since it's 900 damage for 6 energy instead of 1200 damage. I don't really know if they need smaller SG packages, they already have a $5 one.

Gorillo Titan -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 19:55:26)

MOD is better to use vs light characters in my opinion. Since most of the time you have to hit light characters as hard as possible before they heal back to max health

The Finnish Phoenix -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 20:10:00)

You're of course entitled to your opinion and to go your own way, but Mark of Death doesn't hit any harder than Poison long-term, so it doesn't follow that Light characters would have an easier time recovering against Poisons than against Marks.

Dragon Elite X -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 20:27:07)

Poisons are harder to recover from because it is contiguous damage.

Gorillo Titan -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 20:29:37)

You only get the chance to draw a hand once in the time MOD kicks in for poison you enemy gets two hands and during those two hands can draw shields and a greater heal.

ND Mallet -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 20:32:12)

Don't diss the Shadowfire because it isn't anymore efficient than two 500 cards. 1 SF, 1 500 and 3 sacrifices is 3k damage in one turn with only 12 charge

Edit: Fixed my mistake

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 20:53:43)

Overall, none of the cards are useless. Its only when the player know how or use it at the correct timing. So poison have its own strength but it have weakness while MoD is the opposite of it. So, as I said, each of the cards have its own strength and weakness much as the characters does. They had great offense but weak defence although now the CC help to cover up their weakness but there is also another flaw in the CC, that is of course, the draw of the correct card. This is the cycle of the strength and weakness and that's why the game is balance.

The Finnish Phoenix -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 20:54:56)

ND Mallet: ShadowFire, 2 500s, and 2 Sacrifice costs 16 charge and 800 HP, not just 12 charge. While it is true that you would deal 3000 damage immediately, that doesn't mean you're getting more for your investments in energy (or HP in Sacrifice's case) then you would for using a string of Poisons early in the game.

ND Mallet -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 20:58:37)

Woops, meant 3 sacrifice. But still, 1200 hp is meaningless if you can pump out 3k in one turn.
