ND Mallet: Unfortunately, it's impossible at this point to have ShadowFire and 3 Sacrifices in the same hand since neither ShadowFire nor Sacrifice is available from CC and although certain characters have as many as 4 Sacrifices (like both genders of Void Incarnate), no character with ShadowFire has more than 2. If you want to deal 3k+ damage instantly, you can do so more reliably with characters like Volt Engineer with strategies based around SuperCharged, but with Shadow characters it is generally more effective to bombard your opponent with DoTs.

legend knight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 21:13:06)

There is one thing i wish to talk about, that is the AI boss like Storm Knight and Lich. Those 2 boss character are what i hate to fight the most, they somehow cheat in the battle like they can use 1200 damage follow by 800 damage or even 5 hit combo which i presume to be Death Flow boss version.

I like fighting Witchblade and Vergil Of Fiend since those 2 are the balanced AI boss or rather i feel they are the qualified boss. Storm knight and Lich are just a cheater boss and thats what i hate to see even though i still managed to win against them but that is only because i had to use any neutral character with iron hide.

I know a lot will disagree with me stating that you like very hard or insane challenge especially the boss but i feel its really a ridiculous request because we already faced challenges like having to farm gold, exp and hunting and gaining characters. What is the point of having more challenge? Because its fun? I know hard challenge can be fun but there is PvP already implemented for players who want to have fun. Some players must had their other reason or thoughts of playing this game without even wanting a tough challenge since they got their own challenge to face like hunting/training characters and farming for gold. Even with x-boosts, its still a challenge.

Pardon me for being rude but i want to state my point and i expect tons of disagreement with my point since i always face it anywhere and anytime due to different people's thoughts.

In summary, i wish to see the boss using their own true default deck and fight us but only to be more harder and smarter than even the AI master and legendary rank. That is what boss battle should be. I suggested that the boss deck should be given only to the boss character that can be fought at a special room given only to high level players. The reward and EXP will be higher at that special room consider its for high level player against boss with boss deck.

@TFP
With luck, anything is possible in card game so getting 1 shadowfire, 2 500 attack card and 2 sacrifice is possible too.

Edit: There are some elemental character that can deal high damage like Mana Guardian, Abyssal Priest, Hex Void, Evil Jim, Volt Engineer. With supercharged alongside 2 500 attack card and 2 200 attack card, you can deal 3400 damage though it require the full energy to deal that much damage. Mana Guardian with meteorite and lightning chain can deal 3K damage alongside with 2 fire whirl and electric arc, a truly strong and beast character though it need time to deal that amount of damage.

Gorillo Titan -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 21:22:53)

@ legend the boss characters use nuetral decks before they changed them lich and fiend were just as or stronger than storm knight

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 21:27:49)

@Titan
Actually, lich and storm knight are really the strongest boss character. Vergil of fiend is actually the easiest boss character to face while WitchBlade is neutral. What you mean by neutral deck?

Edit: I need to go off now, I had lesson and I will be back soon. See you later.

The Finnish Phoenix -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 21:55:16)

@legend knight: The problem with making bosses more difficult simply by making their AI harder and smarter while retaining their default decks are that it presents coding difficulties when this game is already lamentably understaffed. Although it is valid for you to think of making bosses stronger by bolstering their decks as being a frustrating solution, there are ways of taking down these bosses. They can be challenging to be sure especially if you get unlucky, but I find conventional defensive strategies using some of the stronger Ice, Earth, Neutral, or Light characters can get the job done.

Another method I've found effective for dealing with bosses is to equip a low-levelled (ideally 1 or 2) character before reaching the boss room and knock out its HP before it has a chance to act. Certain Shadow, Lightning, and Fire characters can be particularly good for this, especially with CC's. Of particular help is Neutral 525 (or 515 depending on what you have, it's essentially free damage since you start off with 4 Neutral energy regardless of your main element). If you're using a Fire character and have CC Incinerate, that would help a lot too.

@Megadragonknight: Getting a ShadowFire and 3 Sacrifice in the same hand, however, is not possible with or without luck because you can not have that combination of cards in the same deck, albeit in the same hand. You do make a good list of highly offensive characters and of those characters I have Evil Jim, Mana Guardian, and Volt Engineer at Level 20 myself and very much appreciate them (I didn't bother with Abyssal Priest and Hex Void because frankly I consider their decks worse than Volt Engineer's and not worth the time or SG's). However, these characters are what could be referred to as "glass cannons", in that they have to pay for their considerable offense by being quite vulnerable defensably. For this reason, I personally prefer characters that have both offensive and defensive capabilities such as Taurus, Cosoma Titan, Queen Aegea, Dire Monk, and Poison Drake. For as the old saying goes, sometimes the best offense is a good defense.

Goblin is the best character for low level boss farming

The Finnish Phoenix -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 22:38:26)

Well, when you consider the possibilities, it really isn't. Granted, its three 500-Attacks and two Power Strikes can be helpful, but consider a character like Tharr that has four 500-Attacks and three Power Strikes. Its deck is essentially an improved version of Goblin's, and it could just as easily be used to farm bosses at a low level. Even then, I would prefer a low level Black Dragon or Headless Horseman. Of course, you'd be likely to want to level such characters to high levels, but I just mention them for the sake of argument.

Gorillo Titan -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/6/2013 23:08:42)

Goblin is the easiest to get out of the ones you listed. Just saying

Beck -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/7/2013 0:58:39)

Shadow's trick besides easy to use, overwhelming DoTs is its ability to convert HP to damage. I don't anyone should write off the strength of Legendaries like Abomination of Crypt Shogun or even Dread Fiend, since those characters can pump out as much damage as a Fire character turn after turn. For certain situations, like low level boss hunting like you guys have been saying, that's really helpful!

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/7/2013 8:21:40)

@TPF
Maybe its not possible to get shadowfire with 3 sacrifice as the chance of it to occur is low. Still, card game is based on luck only when it comes to the luck of the draw. For the offense of the character, some free characters are so good and very strong that they can even match to SG characters' strength. Mana Guardian and Volt engineer are the perfect example and I notice they are only fire and lightning character. There should also be some other element character that are free and strong so the players would be glad to use each of the new element characters that are free and very strong that it can match with their respective element SG characters' strength. Golden Lycan can consider to be one of strong free light character but if he have retribution, he would qualify to be the strong free light character. I personally like characters that are pure offensive and both offensive and defensive. Pure defensive character like water tick and water wing would be too troublesome to use for farming but they are definitely useful against characters that are pure offensive as they can keep shielding and heal while attacking.

DarkLore -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/7/2013 8:48:57)

currently training my incarnates. Considering I've only got flesh void back when it was the only free evo for the male (While the female only had the Blood Ranger.) I've actually forgot how devastating their decks are. Sure having all those sacrifices are risky, but they help when you have less shadow energy. I honestly don't think I've ever lost against the AI by accidental suicide using them with the incarnates. (Not very impressive given that the AI has somewhat predictable strategies anyway.) I will enjoy my Void cowboy and void cowgirl when they train enough to prove their worth! Long live the darkness of Lore!

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/7/2013 9:45:00)

@darklore
Void Cowboy and Void cowgirl will be fun for you to use. :D

Andlu -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/7/2013 9:54:04)

I find that Void incarnates/Vampirelord/Void Knight/ Anything with 1 500 attack(At least) and 2 sacrifices can OHKO any level 1 character.

DarkLore -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/7/2013 12:26:41)

Really weird how the void cowboy and cowgirl have different decks. Shouldn't they have the same ones? Or is the wiki mistaken. Their veteran forms have the same deck. But their evolutions that are virtually the same race have their decks have some cards the other doesn't.

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/7/2013 12:27:54)

2-turn kill at Level 16. I love you, Volt Engineer.

Skurge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/7/2013 12:38:22)

The Jop: How many charges/hand redraws? =P

The Jop -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/7/2013 12:40:24)

Well, I had to charge to 20 to pull off a supercharge of 3400, and then I redrew to finish him with 1200 damage. I don't normally count charges and redraws since that's just the standard way to play, but that extra charge I did to get to twenty would make it three turns.

Dragon Elite X -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 134 - READ THE FIRST POST (11/7/2013 12:50:51)

Yeah, I love that about Volt engineer. You have to charge to twenty but it's worth it 3.4k attack. ;)
