Lord Of K1lling -> Better skills for the "evolved" classes. (11/24/2013 0:54:07)

Hello everyone,

Currently the supposed evolved classes are weaker than most of the basic classes, no need for me to explain this, just look at all the bounty hunters and Tech Mages we see around.

I'm making this thread to propose some improved skills for the evolved classes. To hopefully make them more of a choice and worth the credits spent to get it.

Mercenary to Tactical Mercenary

"Tactical Mercenary is an intellectual and crafty mercenary who uses tricks to defeat the enemy. When Baelius took over the planet, some of the more intellectual citizens were forced to work in the mines, and were able to create tactical weaponry from the mining tools- such as the Toxic Grenade which has an unblockable Damage Over Time effect. Tactical Mercenaries will be able to wear Mercenary armor and use swords or mauls."

So things that clearly should be improved from Merc to tac Merc are

1. Field commander is just a weaker blood commander, make it regain health, or get more damage per use.

2. Rename Artillery Strike, "Enhanced Artillery strike" It now does 90% damage to two targets, and does 5% more damage overall.

Bounty Hunter to Cyber Hunter

"Cyber Hunter is a technologically advanced hunter. Some members of Baelius’s Shadow Guard started experimenting with the advanced technology available on the main continent, integrating some of that technology into their battle repertoire. As a Cyber Hunter, you will be able to use the Plasma Grenade, which explodes on contact- injuring your enemy with a 30% chance to stun! Cyber Hunters will be able to wear Bounty Hunter armor and use swords or wristblades."

1. Rename Shadow arts, "Advanced Shadow Arts." Make it 25% more effective.

2. Emp Grenade is just a weaker Static Grenade. Make it take 25% more energy.

Tech Mage to Blood Mage.

"Blood Mage is the more aggressive and violent version of the Tech Mage. After being hardened by battle, some of the mages developed a lust for blood, and a balance between magic and melee. As a Blood Mage, you will be able to use the devastating Plasma Cannon, which includes a 25% chance for critical strike and ignores 20% of your opponent’s resistance. Blood Mages will be able to wear Tech Mage armor and use swords or staffs."

1. Rename Bludgeon "Advanced Bludgeon" Make it 20% more effective than it is now. Blood Mages are supposed to be aggressive, this is aggressive.

2. Either buff energy parasite, or remove it with a Skill called, "Deadly Aim"

Deadly Aim increases pistol damage greatly for a cost of 30 energy maxed, it will give an extra 50% damage when maxed. One turn only one use per game

These small changes could help out these so called "advanced" classes.

Definitely not supported,

The new classes should be getting completely different skill sets not buffed versions of current skills.

The evolved classes are not meant to be better they are meant to be different, different can be better depending on the opinion, but it should not be directly comparable, merely buffing current version of skills will just be directly making them better which is really silly, if you want to improve them, think of skills that will make them different.

Good point Remorse.

Tomorrow, i'll make a list, involving new skills and such, that these classes could have

Thank you and sorry for shutting down your suggestion,

I have made a few new ultimate ideas for he new classes they are not supper different but they all have different aspects towards strategy for the class,

Perhaps you could give your opinion http://forums2.battleon.com/f/tm.asp?m=21517841

I also think eventually the new classes should get new mutli skills as well perhaps you could have a crack at making new skills if you like for them that are slightly different in some way but try not to directly increase power % unless they are given an equal disadvantage.

Thanks, Remorse.

i commented on that thread, also i agree multi skills are good. I'll try not to increase the power % like you said.
