Calogero -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (11/29/2013 18:03:23)

Sure... oh wait, only TechMage and Cyber Hunters have Malf... Silly me

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (11/29/2013 18:05:18)

Oh yeah, I forgot every class has a Malf skill, or Omega Override (rare promo). :o You realise Static Smash can be nerfed with Intimidate too, right? Same with Assimilation. And EMP + Malf/Override. And Atom Smasher.

Every single Energy draining/returning move can be nerfed with a skill, but Energy Parasite which can be nerfed by depleting your Energy. >.>

Calogero -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (11/30/2013 8:48:51)

So It would seem that the HP nerving weapon special nerves Mark of Blood aswell...
Would it be selfish of me to say that that's just bollocks?

Mother1 -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (11/30/2013 9:30:50)

@ calogero

I believe they made this move for the purpose of stopping those heal loopers who like to stall in fights. But in all honestly I feel that this core was genius. it is about time they added a counter to healing items outside of energy cores.

Calogero -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (11/30/2013 9:39:05)

Mother1

Have you ever seen a Heal looper BloodMage?
If anything, this buffs Strenght builds in general not to mention in combo with poison, not a lot you can do...

In other words they destroyed more variety in the game.... great.

BTW since when have heal loopers been a bad thing since their obvious domination with synergy with support and a 3 turn cool down?

TBH I think every single active core they have made except for generator, platinum's pride, energy shot and frostbite have had a terrible impact on balance and variety.\

@ Calgero,

I completely agree, the clear winner form this core is effortless STR builds, now they won't have to worry about someone even trying to heal against their routine almost impossible to counter, effortless strategy.

Lets put all the anti counter core/robot together in a single STR build and analyse shall we.

Gear:

-Primary with the new heal reducing core
-Azreal will gun
-Azreal sheild reduing aux
-Aussult bot

What is left?

A str build that can't be countered by sheild, debuffs, heals, and can reduce your turns to play defensive....

What hope does any build have against versing that except for having to out right out damage it in circumstance and luck.

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (11/30/2013 9:51:33)

Not really, no. They've made it a bit more strategical by having to time your Heal properly, and you have to time the use of the core as well, or else it'll be wasted. Energy draining can also be used to counter it. Also, Heal has 4 turn cooldown, not 3 turns.

Although, I do agree, the core shouldn't affect Mark of Blood and Frenzy, at all. In return (if it was to be taken away and affect Heal + Generator only), it could cost 10-12 Energy instead, so a nerf-buff. If needed, they could also give it 85% damage - like Azrael cores - to compensate for having an effect, but it's blockable so I think it's fine, honestly.

Calogero -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (11/30/2013 9:55:14)

If any Dev is reading this, Patch this Asap:

Android
Static Grenade
New Heal reducing whatever.

And is it just me or, and I'm not pulling a Hun Kinq here, is BloodMage rather pittyfull with the new energy drain?
It's hard to see wether Parasite is Balanced or UP seeing after 3 turns of small energy regains everything gets grenade/smashed away in an instant. We used to say giving an energy drain to BM would be OP due to Deadly Aim, but now, We are about the same as a Bounty Hunter
except for having Smoke and a devestating energy drain...

Remorse -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (11/30/2013 9:55:38)

Oh no you have to time your heal...
Not that it wasn't COMPLETELY OBVIOUS.

I know field medic is 4 if you read my statement I meant heal loopers have not been a problem since it was 3!
Nerfing heal users is just lowering variety and enhancing builds that no longer have to deal with them ( AKA STR builds)

Energy drain countering this is good but with every class having a drain it basically just a stalemate of energy.

Rayman -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (11/30/2013 10:33:01)

Looks Like they forgot to add in the patch notes that there's a new cheevo in the shop? 17.5k credits for 2.500 ratings.
Also hoping for a new balance update soon, and Hallo remorse.

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (12/1/2013 1:59:00)

Great release! Really enjoyed the storyline. A few suggestions, though:

1. Space the three mission sets over three weeks, not only so that there can be a better distribution of content released per week, but also so that tension can be better built up for the final boss
2. Cutscenes. This is a necessity to make the storyline more engaging. DF-style/ MQ-style cutscenes would be awesome, though even AQ-style/AQW-style cutscenes would be preferable to no cutscenes (when I say style, I don't mean art-style; I mean the way the cutscenes are designed)

Pemberton -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (12/1/2013 4:51:00)

Good release but rewards is too low for missions. And battles are not fun because always bounty hunter and poison bot is too much strong.

beaststyles -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (12/1/2013 5:38:20)

@ Calogero

It seems that you are just annoyed that you omega bot (as you call it) build is not as successful as it used to be before and hence you are in the forums just moaning instead of giving any sort of constructive feedback.

First before I explain why your claims are not too valid I would like to highlight that it is really selfish of you to so easily accuse people of copping/pasting builds. Sometimes there is not much choice per class apart from 1 -3 decent builds, this does not mean that everyone you come across with a common build has copied and pasted it. It think its extremely rude of you to think that you are the only one who posses the ability to think of an original build and other don't posses that mental capability.

Andriod:

OP? Really? Have you even tried to compare it to you omega bot... now lets see. Omega bot base damage = 18 whereas androids base damage = 15. So the base damage is +3 more in favour of "omega bot" (and I am assuming ur referring to the omega baby yeti).

Lets see how that works out in %:

At higher lvls: 20+15+20 = 55>>>> 3/55x100 = 5.45

At lower lvls: 14+15+4= 33>>>3/33x100= 9.09

So the androids special damage is capped at 130%. But at higher lvls players with omega yet will do 105% damage per go they use its normal attack whereas lower lvls will do >109% damage (of android) per normal attack. Don't forget that this attack can be used as many times as one likes unlike the android special. The omega yetis attack can also be used with rage to to enhance its power just like the android.

Lastly about the android, increased battle time doesn't only buff the android but if you actually think about it it buffs the omega yeti too and at some times even more so. How? well... 105+105+105+105... so with 4 uses you are already doing 20% more damage than the androids normal damage... the longer the battle goes on the better for the omega yeti since android capped at 130%.

New heal halving cores

I doubt you have truly tested these enough to come to a conclusion about them being overpowered in such a short time. I guessing that you have not been able to counter the core yet (correct me if i am wrong). I brought this weapon (staff) and am double minded as to whether or not I should have brought it, so its definitely not op. Dont forget it cna only be used once, costs 14 energy and lasts only 3 turns.

As much as it is helpful for strength builds, its also a great counter for strength builds especially bh's and bm's running around with mark of blood. So removing its affect on mark of blood would truly make this core useless since since countering with field medic is pretty easy already.

@Remorse.

Actually str build add variety to the game too. Without them there would be one less build to add to variety.

Pemberton -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (12/1/2013 5:47:26)

^ Very good points. I fight Calogero and yes he is a Bloodmage and he is used to his old deadly aim attack attack bloodlust bludgeon "strategy"

Calogero -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (12/1/2013 8:19:13)

Pemberton Pemberton Pemberton, Silly goose. I never used a Strenght build as a BloodMage. I like being unique.
While everyone was using the " Deadly Aim Attack Attack Bloodlust Bludgeon " builds, I was using the Dex Super Charge
followed by the 5 focus BloodMage build. Yes I was the one that started that so please don't try to troll in any way because you
are failing so badly.

beaststyles

I've done enough battles to see the Omega yeti being outdamaged on rage compared to the Android. 1 Time use special Only? Yeti's One time special does only what, 85% damage?
quote:

You'd be surprised how much one can learn about something in a short period of time.
This is another one of the Azrael's Will special failures, where they make a core that is OP unless you buy it aswell ;)

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (12/1/2013 9:04:04)

Calogero, I'm not quite sure why you're complaining about the Android, whose special is essentially a level 1 Double Strike at max, when the Poison bot is far more ubiquitous and problematic. I would think that the Android has been sufficiently nerfed, particularly since most users get to 115% in a typical 7-round match. That would be a Jack-O-Fire, robot-style. Also note that unlike most other bots, Infernal Android isn't a utility bot, but a raw damage one. If it doesn't do significantly more damage than other bots, at least in a single turn, it has completely failed in its role. Omega Yeti, on the other hand, is meant for consistently strong damage output (as compared to IA's burst damage niche), as well as, more significantly, ranged weapon removal, which is very useful against a small number of builds like support mercs/TLMs, and to a lesser extent, strength TMs. It's also helpful against the rare BH like me, who uses physical ranged weapons with an energy primary, or a CH counterpart.

Chosen 0ne -> RE: =ED= November 27th, 2013 - Black Abyss Patch Notes - 1.5.40 (12/1/2013 12:33:25)

I bought the promo, I'm not sure what I think about it yet. The new robots are very cool looking and both moves shapeshift you. I also got a couple house items with my varium. Good times.[:D]
