Ianthe -> RE: Pets/Guest - Read the first post! (2/27/2014 14:40:28)

It may or may not.

quote:

Dunamis

If the pet acts, then you get a *[1+(0.16968 +0.16968*YourCHA/ExpCHA)*(24-Delta)/24], where Delta is every level beyond 8 that you outlevel it, and the red part is to a minimum of 0. Like Poelala, you can click on him to see the boost he's currently giving.

This affects (1) all Melee player attacks (2) all weapon Specials while you're wielding a Melee weapon (3) all Melee spells, but at half the normal boost.
Level	50	70	90	110	130	150
Type	B	B	B	B	B	B
PowLvl	54	73	93	113	133	153

CHALvl	53	72	92	112	132	152
CHA	125	165	200	200	200	200	200	200

Price	185	1440	11555	93103	750572	6051292
EDIT: Adding in an "over time" bonus of *1.01 boost. This has already been calculated into the above formula.
Got this. ~Carandor

Bonus: FireWere/ IceWere update

The original FireWere (now Guardian FireWere) is a promo item, so it scales to YourLvl -5. It is not included in the table, but its sell price is 10,000.

All the others scale inefficiently. For every two levels you gain beyond the pet's buy level, the pet gains +1 power level.

For all, you can click on the chest. This'll give you a pop-up with its current damage and BTH.

Not really MC - the usual Guardian boost is replaced by the "MC" scaling effect. The Lv150 one doesn't scale (since it's already at the max level), and has the normal Guardian boost.

Attack is either:
  • One Melee hit, +5 BTH ~ *85/90 damage, *2/3 damage total.
  • Two Ranged hits, +5 BTH ~ *85/90 damage, *4/3 damage total.

  • Shiba -> RE: Pets/Guest - Read the first post! (2/27/2014 15:40:34)

    CHA boosting items increase the power of the pet, as you've already stated, but do the Shock Collars have any effect on this new pet?

    They have no effect. ~IMR

    Edit: ty! :)

    overdead -> RE: Pets/Guest - Read the first post! (2/27/2014 15:59:07)

    @IMR: Should the Zorbo's stun chance really be that low? I think (I may be wrong) the stun chance is around 10% wherein Bun Bowman's stun chance is at 17%.

    What? ~IMR

    Whoops! I'll go bury my head in a mud pile now.

    Kay Oh -> RE: Pets/Guest - Read the first post! (2/27/2014 16:36:50)

    I don't know what ExpCHA and this part is confusing to me:
    quote:

    where Delta is every level beyond 8 that you outlevel it, and the red part is to a minimum of 0. Like Poelala, you can click on him to see the boost he's currently giving.

    afterlifex -> RE: Pets/Guest - Read the first post! (2/27/2014 16:45:33)

    ExpCha: expected Charisma for your lvl.

    As for Delta:

    Delta is 0 until you are 9 lvls above the pets power lvl, then Delta is 1, 2, 3 etc.

    ex: (assuming 200 cha and 200 expected cha)

    8 or less lvls beyond the pet:
    [1+(0.1616 +0.1616*200/200)*(24-0)/24] =1.3232

    is you are 9 lvl above the pets power lvl:

    [1+(0.1616 +0.1616*200/200)*(24-1)/24] =1.3097

    is you are 10 lvl above the pets power lvl:

    [1+(0.1616 +0.1616*200/200)*(24-2)/24] = 1.2962

    donaldip -> RE: Pets/Guest - Read the first post! (2/27/2014 16:53:19)

    What about welding a Melee weapon when in a Ranged locked armour?

    Then you don't get the boost, except on the Special.

    On the other hand, if you're wielding a Ranged weapon and are in a Melee-locked armour, then you get the boost. ~IMR

    Shiba -> RE: Pets/Guest - Read the first post! (2/27/2014 17:22:23)

    I am not sure where to post this, because it is a question but also a possible balance issue:

    The damage boost seems to be applied after the pet's "attack turn", which translates to one turn of missed damage. Is there a compensation for this somewhere down the pet's damage boosting formula, or is this an oversight?

    Fixed - it now gets *1.01 boost (so 0.1616 instead of 0.16). ~IMR

    hict98 -> RE: Pets/Guest - Read the first post! (3/1/2014 10:55:00)

    Do the fire/iceweres do any extra damage against vamps?

    Nope. ~IMR

    KlawdStrife -> RE: Pets/Guest - Read the first post! (3/1/2014 12:42:59)

    Just want to confirm, for dunamis the boost now is

    Right. Sorry, forgot to update my post. ~IMR

    Felt Snake

    MC Earth pet.

    Attack is two hits, Melee Earth. It deals *0.75 damage. After the attack, there's a 10%*[hits connected]*[monster Earth resist], then the monster can be Paralysed. The monster can resist with a save at a +0 bonus:
    Level: PowLvl vs MonsterLvl
    Major: YourCHA vs MonsterINT
    Minor: YourLUK vs MonsterLUK

    Earth-element monsters are immune.

    Various pop-ups:
    Your foe keeps looking for «pet name» after that surprise attack!
    Your foe doesn't consider «pet name» much of a threat, and decides not to look for them.
    Your opponent is immune to Paralysis.
    Creatures aligned to Earth are unaffected by «pet name»'s sneaky strikes.
