Sasu -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (6/20/2014 13:44:26)

@Therries Thank you. Also, can we personify the elements, like depict them as humans?

Eukara Vox -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (6/20/2014 16:13:03)

Please elaborate on this, Sasu.

Sasu -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (6/21/2014 22:39:28)

For the contest, can we make the elements appear as humans or do they have to be in their natural state? For example, one of the elements is rainbow. Can we draw a multi-colored human or does it have to be a real rainbow? o.o

Rander -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (6/27/2014 18:18:26)

Soon...

Eukara Vox -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (6/27/2014 23:37:17)

If the person is coloured, using all the colours of a rainbow... perhaps that would be okay. I will consult with Pyro on this.

afb728 -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (6/29/2014 22:59:02)

I really like yours, Rander. I can't wait to see it in color.

Lupus the Wolf -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/5/2014 14:28:46)

May I ask. Does the shadow needs to be a literal shadow or can it be something shadowy, like a shadowy objected viewed in front of a light source?

PyroPuppy -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/5/2014 16:02:45)

Good question Lupus: In general, I'd prefer the theme will be reflected in the piece, so a shadowed object may not really represent shadow in a first glance. One of the main goals of this contest is to be creative with the themes and use them in the drawing, even if it may be difficult. Yet, there is no red line of "Units of reflections of a theme in a drawing", I trust you guys to use the themes as cleverly as possible while keeping up with the spirit of the contest.
A less ambiguous answer - If you don't think you used the theme correctly, then you should try and use it differently.

DaiTigris -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/8/2014 20:55:48)

I'm so excited the entries so far have a lot of energy to them.

I suddenly realized after posting my entry everyone's going to try tilling there heads to see it straight, please don't strain you necks on my account. D:

Therries -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/8/2014 23:17:18)

Really cool to see that this is starting to gather popularity at last. :D
Some very fun concepts there thus far. ^ ^

Starting on my entry right after posting this as well, so... Let's do this.

Eukara Vox -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/9/2014 10:11:37)

It's July 9th. Midnight is cutoff, CST. Wonder if there will be any more?

Therries -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/9/2014 10:18:35)

Yeah, count me in.
Clocked about 8 hours and 30 minutes thus far, so starting to finalize it soon.

Definitely hoping for a few more last minute people though.

Edit: Whew. That took a tad bit longer than expected. :D
Barely one minute short of my ten-hour challenge.

The link is in the Submissions thread and I need a gallon of coffee. 'twas a fun ride though, can't complain.

PyroPuppy -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/9/2014 14:52:49)

Just few hours left for submissions!

I must say, I was very impressed by the entries of this round, all really use the themes cleverly and the difference between each of the pieces is amazing. It's also nice to see a large number of entries compared to the last round. Lets hope the next one will have even more!

afb728 -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/9/2014 15:29:04)

You can count on me participating again. I had a lot of fun doing the concepts for this.

Ilø€IMPERIAL€ølI -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/9/2014 18:46:45)

I've been busy for the past weeks to finish my entry, but I will submit what I have done so far. Anyway, I see a lot of potential artists. Fantastic job everyone!

Rander -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/9/2014 19:01:17)

Thanks, afb728! Yours is good too!

I finally finished mine: http://rander-mt.deviantart.com/art/To-Steal-the-Color-466881400

afb728 -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/9/2014 20:49:57)

Why a raccoon, though?

EDIT: I mean, why not a squirrel or something? Why specifically a raccoon?

Rander -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/9/2014 21:18:05)

Haha! [:D] Raccoons are inventive and have the mask and the hands with fingers (not the paws). They already look and sometimes act like charismatic masked thieves. And I also like raccoons.

Eukara Vox -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/10/2014 11:44:48)

The poll is up! Don't forget about the writing poll!

afb728 -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/21/2014 16:04:32)

What exactly do you mean by an alien?

PyroPuppy -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/21/2014 16:40:35)

Round 4 is up guys! This round's elements are pretty random in my opinion, but I really like them.

@afb728: Well, the dice had an "alien" head, but we will definitely allow stretching the alien theme, for an example to a "refugees" theme.
Worth mentioning again: The contest is not about limiting you and try to follow strict guidelines, but the other way around, we (And I'm sure the forumites as well) want to see what you will do with the general elements. You can use them in any way you want, just make sure it is clearly an "alien", and not something else.

afb728 -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/21/2014 23:03:02)

Well, I'm wondering if people would recognize DF's Ataelans as "aliens" or if they would just consider them to be some weird elf-type thing.

Running through some concepts now. I like this game.

bruextian -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/22/2014 22:34:17)

Oh men! I'm back here in the forums xD
Definitely joining this <3

Warmonger DragonJax -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/23/2014 12:40:31)

does the alien necessarily have to be an alien or a space ship is sufficient cause I have great plans on those !

bruextian -> RE: Here's How We Roll Contest Discussion (7/25/2014 7:54:29)

Fast question !

Can I add other elements to my piece beside those that are given?
