Mordred -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/25/2014 4:51:34)

The blue flames are cooler, guys. The fire on the coat-tails changes to a snowflake. It's clearly an iced-up Xan. Sorry, I know blue flames are hotter, but magic fire's a whole new ballgame.

I can't say I'm very fond of the new Xan. I like the idea of an updated coat for him, but the original iconic pose is too good to replace if you ask me. It's so dynamic, and the rage in his eyes is captivating. I also think the original skull design is perfect, and the new one, combined with the flames, looks more like an animalistic mane than a former man. An those MC Hammer pants! Can't get rid of them!

I think it's a good design, Cronix, but doesn't quite match the original. Sorry.

Stephen Nix -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/25/2014 14:00:52)

Darn, what was the Xan like people? Cronix took the picture down.....

Dracojan -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/25/2014 15:29:17)

Xan was really epic. there are 5 version of him. with red and black colors, black and red clothes, with and without runic accessories and a blue ice version with a big snow flake on his cape.

Dragonman -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/25/2014 16:30:56)

@Mordred: While I can't speak for everyone that thought it'd be great if Xan turned blue and got hotter, I noticed the snowflake, I just thought a blue-fire not-cold Xan would be better.

salene -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/25/2014 16:31:56)

I love the avatar reference with Xan! It was too cute! And those blue flames are awesome as we'll. but why did Cronix take it down?

Zeldax -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/29/2014 18:32:21)

Sneak Peak by Cronix

Not sure what it is though.

Lord Noonien Soong -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/29/2014 18:39:51)

Am I the only who thinks of the predator franchise when I see that [8|]

Kokujoe -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/29/2014 18:47:53)

^^@LordNoonienSoong Came to the same conclusion after I took my first glance at it. What a coincidence!
Glad to know I'm not the only one :P

afb728 -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/29/2014 18:52:07)

A Void-Elf? Based off of the weapon (like the Ice-Elves).

ShimmerSoul -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/30/2014 1:33:43)

Love that circuit pattern in the background. ^_^ It is reminiscent of the Ice Elves, but it's blue, not the universally void-related purple, so I don't think it's connected to the void. Maybe something to do with the True Mortal saga? It reminds me more of the Khy'Rhian than anything else. Or possibly Cronix's own?

WHITE DRAGON MAGE -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/30/2014 12:45:35)

Well there are dark elves in pellow village, so maybe some of them branched off to embrace the void and become the first void elves.

Cronix -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/30/2014 15:02:47)

I can make a "void dark elf" if you really want [;)]

Mordred -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/30/2014 15:06:14)

I'd rather not. Void dragons are only so "twisted" because of the generations spent in the Void. Elves haven't.

megakyle777 -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/30/2014 15:07:40)

I don't know, I could see them entering there fleeing from Sek Duct's purge of the Sand Elves thousands of years ago.

ShimmerSoul -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/30/2014 15:08:32)

Apparently, it's someone called... well, just see for yourself if you haven't already.

A void dark elf would make my day, Cronix. :D Even if it wouldn't make much sense plot-wise, the awesome value alone would more than make up for it. Don't take too much time away from your own stuff, though.

afb728 -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/30/2014 16:08:27)

Huh. I thought that the scarf on the right was a weird Pac-Man thing. Interested to see how it'll be implemented.

Regarding the Void/Dark Elf: I'd like to see it, but I agree with Mordred on their appearance in the game not making sense. Unless it got properly explained (banished 10 thousand years ago to a penal colony, went to live with the dragons, etc.)

Dragonman -> RE: =DF= Staff Information Thread (7/30/2014 18:18:17)

OK, Nova looks really cool. Regarding the Void Elf, pretty much what afb said... only if the Void Elf was the descendant of some elves who had lived in the void for generations.

The Jop -> RE: Murky Murk Murk (8/1/2014 13:16:19)

Maybe Vaal is not a ChaosWeaver, but a Murk? That would explain why the Rose called him the weakest ChaosWeaver, since he doesn't actually use that branch of soulweaving.

solomi123 -> RE: Murky Murk Murk (8/1/2014 13:17:33)

Kinda make sense seeing that he used red blood thing instead of blast like the spider chaosweaver

Dragonman -> RE: Murky Murk Murk (8/1/2014 13:18:32)

I think the hall itself has to do with Murks, not Vaal. Just a hunch.

The Jop -> RE: Murky Murk Murk (8/1/2014 13:20:26)

@Dragonman
His skill set also resembles what we've seen of Murks so far. But, then again, Tomix said some of his skills can be considered a preview of the ChaosWeaver class, so who knows?

M31K -> RE: Murky Murk Murk (8/1/2014 13:50:23)

What if chaosweavers are murks? There are too much questions to be answered.

The Jop -> RE: Murky Murk Murk (8/1/2014 13:56:13)

I think there are four soulweaving families: soulweavers, soulsmiths, chaosweavers, and murks.

ShimmerSoul -> RE: Murky Murk Murk (8/1/2014 14:02:09)

I believe someone put forward a theory a while back that murks are to chaosweavers as soulsmiths are to soulweavers. Maybe Vaal's power has changed over time, hence his ability to create a living weapon out of an elemental spirit, which, according to Lanrete, is the primary ability of soulsmiths.

At the very least, I hope that we finally get to learn about the murks in this quest. They're very interesting considering they have yet to play a role in the story. :p
