Haven't had one of these since War 2.0, so here's the inaugural war thread for a new age. Legion and Exile are currently neck-to-neck, with a gap of mere hundreds of points. We can win this time, Legion! Thanks to suboto for posting a timely reminder for Legion's opening strategy - keep hitting the health objective, guys!

Note: This thread is to be used for war updates, strategy discussions and morale boosters (including polite bantering). It is not to be used for flaming, baseless accusations of cheating or unfair dev interventions, or whining in general, including whining about balance. Constructive criticism however is always welcome.

Let's keep the discussion fun and civil :)

Wait, why on earth did Exile get a war rally if it was leading by 1K at the time? Can someone clarify what seems to me to be a gross injustice?

Sky that is a very broken mechanic but they got a war rally last night around nine that put them up 60k so what does that tell you


For all care the health objective does 24-33 and the standard objective 25-34 so do with that what you will

Has anyone else noticed that Legion seems to be getting a buff/unfair advantage? If you look at the war flags to see total influence earned by both sides, there is really no second thought that Exile should be smashing Legion. However, for some reason, Legion is just about passing Exile and are actually passing Exile as I write this. Something fishy is going on here...

@Combatiod You have to remember that Legion has the numbers advantage and if you force the players to get over 150 influence to get a prize. Granted they may only be going for 250 influence or 1000 influence if they are feeling generous but those numbers add up unlike every Legion player going eh 150 is enough to possibly get me 10K

While legion may have more players than exile, for them to be keeping up like this with the number of players on the server there would need to be players with at least 4000-5000 influence at least and a lot of them and the influence if you see it isn't adding up.

Especially when the most that have been on a server at one time has been 700-800 players.

The only way to truly settle this argument is if the overall had a scroll list to include every player with >0 points. Until then we cannot find out if the numbers aren't adding up or if there is just a large enough population off of these boards

Every Exile should stop dropping bombs on the health objective and focus on using the standard so we stand a chance to win the war.

Deleted a whole bunch of posts for ignoring that. Lets keep it out of this thread before there has be consequences for it.

At this time, no where. It's pretty clear at this point that this subject can't be discuss in a civil manner without resulting a flame war, such as in this thread alone. Until you guys can prove your able to discuss things in a civil manner, not allowed.

Calling all Legionnaires! Exile has taken a 600K lead over us! This is unacceptable! Focus on the finisher objective now. We can still catch up - we've been neck to neck with them for the past few days and we're not going to lose now!

giveing it my all xD not sure if we can but il try [;)] i think we did the order wrong sadly i think finisher 1st then health objective then standard. my reason finisher stops exile from increaseing in power over time. then health allows us to catch up or take lead. then standard

Nah, health first was right. IDK what happened, but the change was overnight. Certainly wasn't because we targeted the wrong objectives, but it would certainly have helped if we had a) stopped targeting the health objective once its damage fell behind the standard objective b) focused on one objective thereafter.

The problem is that large-scale strategy communication can only happen through the forums, which the vast majority of players don't use. This inherently penalises the attacking side in every war, which happens to be Legion in 3 out of the 4 wars so far. Why this is so is incomprehensible, given that the OverLord Facility, for instance, is a Legion stronghold and we should be the defenders.

Not only that, but I noticed that as I thought before there was a lack of players at a point for legion. I mean in the beginning I saw how quickly the health target went down to being weak. However when it was almost down and out the momentum slowed down.

At first I thought it was legion attacking the other targets like you posted but when I checked those there wasn't hardly any attacking.

Then the war rally came when exile was only 34 points behind from what I saw. War rally get triggered from the slightest lack of lead which is not good for either side.

When I saw it at first I thought the legion would catch up just like with all the other war rallies but now I don't even know.

I'm exile, did +- 40 wins last two hours and no fuel dropped...yesterday I got drop every 3rd win or so. Its true we're currently leading one million, but no drop is ridiculous. How are we supposed to gain influence if no fuel drops?

I noticed this as well, I am not sure about this one but I think they made it so the side that has a lead would get less drops either to

(A) get people to spend credits on the commander core
(B) give the losing side a chance to catch up.

But yeah compared to the other three wars the drop rate of bombs is much lower.
