So...

Symphony has another being in it, Samjet.
Toren and Lily are getting involved with Luke and Yara, and others have gone to join them.
Franklin is just getting to town.
Marcelline has finished up the Istarelle sub-plot.

Now what to do? I'm gonna hold off on making more sub-plots for now, but that leaves me in a stasis. Perhaps Franklin and Marcelline can meet up and hang out while they wait for something to draw their attention, lol.

blankmaskara -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (4/17/2015 7:14:52)

Sure, I suppose.

Bastet -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (4/17/2015 16:31:53)

My post will be up tomorrow. I'll be joining the group that's heading for Luke Grange, as promised, and my character will be open again for interaction... assuming anyone would be as interested in Symphony as Kitsondra was.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (4/18/2015 10:32:10)

I feel as if I've been away for a long time, but anyway, I have something to say.

Firs things first, I may post sometime this weekend since I got a 3-day weekend.

Secondly, I want to talk about Plot Points. They're now called 'Wealth Points', and it's a a form of currency you use in the OOC that affects things in the IC. Everyone gets a WP every so often, and they can be used to buy things from Jaque, but you will have opportunities to use them differently. One such example is coming up soon.

And thirdly, I want to talk about Blackwater itself. I was playing 'The Witcher II' in anticipating for the upcoming Witcher III and I realized Flotsam was a good place to compare with Blackwater. Look up 'Flotsam Witcher' and it will turn up results; that's more or less what you can expect the town to be like.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (4/18/2015 14:57:20)

I am assuming Kitsondra is coming with us.

Yara and the group has left and is now on the main road, heading northward. If anyone wants to develop their character, interact via dialogue with each other, share your thoughts, etc, now is the time to do it. Once that's done and over with, we'll encounter Luke.

We will make camp tonight, where the characters will see there suspense, get their thrills, and sate their lust for combat.

black knight 1234567 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (4/19/2015 6:01:07)

Yo is the trade dude there yet? I was planning on posting soon but I don't want to make a filler post.

Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (4/19/2015 9:11:23)

Nope, you still got at least a day(IC time) to go Black Knight.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (4/19/2015 9:55:38)

I think Jaque will come once the Luke Grange thing is done with. So we'll deal with him, camp over night, and return to town, and Jaque will show up afterwards.

EDIT: I've changed a few things in the original OOC post. For one, I added your Wealth Points to the character list. I also redid the Setting section.

Bastet -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (4/22/2015 16:09:59)

I apologize for the delay in my post, a few things got in the way. I'll have it up by the next weekend.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (4/24/2015 18:59:06)

I got bored and wanted to write, so I posted, but it won't really affect the story right now. Just introducing Vaelun, a traveling slayer-for-hire. He'll be coming to the Darkwald at a later time, but I think he'll be interesting. I think I'll like writing about him. He's a carefree person, who loves to waste all of money on the world's delights.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (4/25/2015 14:25:54)

New post which continues the Luke episode. Participants may respond however they wish, but Luke can't die. You can handle this diplomatically, aggressively, whatever.

If a fight were to break, Luke's goons won't try to kill you unless you give them reason to.

black knight 1234567 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (4/28/2015 10:38:36)

Slayer for hire?
That's got potential with my character. What hunter sect does he belong to?

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (4/30/2015 16:39:32)

I'm thinking Vaelun will be a solo hunter, but will probably try to get something up and running in the Darkwald. I don't knowi f I want him to be a part of some existing sect.

black knight 1234567 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (5/1/2015 2:56:32)

Oooh he and Sorlan could start their own little business in Darkwald for hunting beasts. I'm interested.

Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (5/3/2015 7:28:40)

Sorry for the delay. I'll try and get and post up today or tomorrow.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (5/3/2015 13:31:46)

If you want to post Dray, I'll wait for you.

Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (5/3/2015 14:17:25)

Tkz, I don't get off till 5:30 est today.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (5/3/2015 14:58:46)

I can wait.

Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (5/3/2015 20:18:56)

Alright post, sorry it took so long.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (5/4/2015 19:59:54)

This is important:
Rather than spending your Wealth Point, or keeping it, you can give it up to Luke Grange. The next time you receive a Wealth Point, however, you will receive 3 (so you gain an additional wealth point).

Secondly, if you guys don't know what to post about, you're not required to post. But I like to give people the chance to interact. If you'd like to post interactions between your characters, provide insight on current situations, or tell actions of the current situation (making a fire, shelter, what have you) you may do so. Think of it as a 'rest' phase.

If you're wanting some action, it's coming.

Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (5/4/2015 21:10:03)

technically speaking Kitsondra could just walk back to Blackwater herself and the others could follow, but I think that might pull to much attention to herself. Also can Toren see in the dark now as well? Or is it still just Kit?

Master K -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (5/5/2015 14:02:42)

Question.

I'm considering how I'm going to continue the next arc of Marcelline's own story. What type of divination does the Red Lady deal in? Crystal Ball? Tarot? Palm Reading?

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (5/6/2015 17:10:08)

@Draycos: Kitsondra being able to navigate the Darkwald at night would a mighty big achievement. I might have let it slip in the past, or I didn't notice her ability to navigate at night, but my idea was the Darkwald is nigh intraversible at night - and very dangerous. I know some of the characters have camped at night and come out fine, and I'm fine with that.

The Darkwald is unnatural. A certain dark presence looming over the entire wood creates illusions and tricks that make it practically impossible to find your way back. Yara didn't get lost, she was heading in the correct direction, but the night came to swiftly for her and that darkness took hold of the forest. And these are illusions that not even the Queen of Illusions could overcome. I mean the main road is practically right beside the Stone River at most points; to miss it int he daytime would be foolery.

Assuming someone could fly, like Kit, they might have a better chance, but then you'd be leaving everyone on the ground alone. The canopy would block you out so they couldn't follow you. And even if you swooped back down to help them navigate, it wouldn't work, as the two groups would end up in completely separate places.

It's an unexplainable phenomenon.

Toren might have better vision, but it's not night vision. So he can't see as well as Kit can.

@Master K: The Red Lady is another unexplained phenom. There's no set parameters that say what she can and can't do. In divination, she would probably use all three of those methods, but using her keen perception she'd use whatever the subject is most use to.

I haven't had time to really delve into the Red Lady yet, but she plays a major role in the overarching scheme of things. I tried to make her original, but the more I imagined her she kept coming out to be like Theresa from Fable.

I like to keep some things unknown even to myself. I refuse to define her. I'm not even sure if she's human. She could be a goddess for all I know, or a demon.

Master K -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (5/6/2015 20:19:24)

Interesting.

I'd like for the Red Lady to set up the next part of Marcelline's arc. Mainly, establishing the eminent threat of a witch hunter coming to Darkwald, and that she and others are going to be in danger.

Kellehendros -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (5/6/2015 22:05:40)

I'm going to do my best to get a post up tomorrow. I may have to postpone to the weekend. We'll see how much time I have.
