For some reason I thought about Battleon out of the blue, and decided to check how the good old OOC Room was. It seems it's dead, though I see some familiar names (especially looking at Circe, sean2 and toi, though I think I remember some other usernames. It's been so long though.). Not sure if I'll check if anybody replies to me (last time I logged in to the forums was probably months ago, maybe even last year?), but I hope you're all doing good in your life. I'm good, finished uni, looking for a job, have travelled a lot, and I'm overall happy.
I think I never said it here, but you were all a huge part of my childhood, and even if I don't remember everything right now I'm deeply grateful and happy to have chatted, argued, and simply have fun with all of you. It's been 11 years since I joined the forums. That's...crazy. I was 12 then, not sure if even in high school, now I'm 23 and have a degree in accounting (I know, boring! But hopefully it'll make me money :P). I have great life, and good friends and family members. No girlfriend yet though, but one will come soon I hope ;).
But anyhow, I just wanted to say thank you all. You kept me company, taught me most of my English (since I'm from Uruguay, and we speak Spanish here) which has since then let me pass with honors two proficiency exams in english, as well as spend months traveling through Europe, and I also spent three months living and studying at the University of Birmingham (England) as part of an international exchange.
This was a place of fun, of intellectual discussion (I remember a guy that I sort of hated but I came to respect a lot with a cow avatar that made me really think a lot about various topics), of silly discussions, and basically the only online community I've ever been really involved in.
