(I'm posting Dell's last known exit here. Kudos and congratulations once more Apocalpyse. It was a pleasure battling along side you)
The winds blew faintly and the sheriff had been watching. He did not miss the achievement of witnessing the crowning. At least that he got to see. But by the time he had made it to the energy champion's gate. She was gone.* "Darn, Ah reckon ah missed the lass." *Asking a nearby blacksmith, the ol sheriff soon learned the location of where the energy champion's town was. So he could go visit it.
He had seen from the energy gate that Lucia was leaving. He raced back that way. But since she was disguised he'd lost sight of her. "Con Sarn it all. Lovely Lucia left me all high and dry. Ah wanted ta congratulate her too. Tarnation." Dell gazed off at the sunset. Now what? He was still in a strange land, with strange creatures. He'd lost the chance to say goodbye to Elysia and Lucia of the light. Now what to do?
Dell walked towards the gate of ice and stared at it for a long time. He placed a hand to his hat and took it off in a sweeping bow of respect to the gate. "Don't ya'll worry. I'll be back again sometime. An next time, ah'll do better." "In Ya'lls honor Ice lord."
Putting hat back on top of his head, Dell sucked in a sharp, deep breath. His Journey was not yet over. His song was not yet done. He would return. someday.
Walking off into the fading sunset, the sheriff said one last thing to the city of Bren. "Upon da light ah saw, the most wondrous sight o all, a lass named Lucia strode in, and a peace filled that thar stain of death. Good for you gal. Good for you." And than. He was gone.
