Levels are not really that significant. classes play a much larger role. a lvl 20 player with a strong class can destroy a lvl 65 player with a weak class.

^ Yeah, a level 30 Chaos Slayer with some experience, is easily going to wipe the floor with a level 65 Warrior. Or at least they have the tools to. And most people are usually going to go for the most effective class in their inventory.

Despite only having about 35K health, I noticed these new Captains hit a lot harder than the Bludrut ones. Velm smacked me for about 7-800 non crit damage pretty consistently with the Brawlers dead. That's nice.

chaos slayer isnt even strong, its average at best. a lvl 20 artefact hunter or bma will smack every weak and even average class around.

i think there may be a bug as i was hit pretty hard with all brawlers dead but very lightly with some alive.

It's not fun to auto-lose due to match-up, either. It's not really an argument against a level check before letting two people duel, though.

^ BlazeBinder is good in either 1v1 or team fights, but you have some other good ones too. Ninja is still a good 1v1 class, as are Lycan and Shaman. For group play I've seen StoneCrusher be a really good team support class as well. I haven't ranked my Abyssal Angel yet but I've seen a few people do pretty good with it too.

Hi, im late for the party.

Since bma, how are all the new classes in pvp? Which ones are good? Decent? Bad?
Bma vs lbma? And how do all these new ones perform against the dreaded blazebinder?

Im also super interested in abyssal angel and chronoassassin? Which is better in pvp? Dodging and overall?

Ive been on my longest hiatus yet and ae is pumping out so many classes one after the other so its hard
To keep track.

bma vs lbma = lbma in 1v1 and bma in BB
hmm idk why bb has a reputation of being that good. the new classes have much higher single target damage with dmg reduction that cripples bb's damage. the reflect and guaranteed dmg are no unbeatable. ldmk in 1v1 can instantly deliver 7k unavoidable dmg. its much harder to fight a dodging class with that kind of damage than bb...

chrono assassin is very good in 1v1, abyssl angel in BB. dodging chronoassassin, overall aa.

With regards to bb, i just think its reputation as a good farming and no miss class just carried over to pvp.
With the newly released classes, beating dodge type classes seems to be always the focus as most of the new ones seem to
Always have either an unavoidable attack or a hit boosting effect. I think it hurts one type of class too much, while wiz classes are ignored even when powerful.

Thanks for the insight on aa and chronoassassin. How about the daimon and drakel class? Are they decent or up there with the
Big ones?

daimon has multiple nukes, 1 of over 4k magical dmg and 1 of over 2k magical dmg along with a powerful dot of ~250 or 333 dmg and over 1k crit impact dmg for it, and also high crit rate and 40% damage reduction skill. so overall this class is a monster in BB. could be one of the best there. its very good in 1v1 as well but classes with very powerful effects can smack it easily.

warlord is a funny one. its a much better version of warrior and is rather good in 1v1 but still not near the best. much stronger in pve than warrior.

Really, that daimon is sounding like one beast of a class. Whatever happened to balancing classes?

At least drakel seems to be tame then compared to it. Why again cant they just buff the classes that these variants came from?

Oh, and if we can circle back, how good is chronoassassin 1v1 against aa? Bma? Lbma? Daimon? Bb? Etc. I just hate ac only rare classes becoming obsolete since there's real money involved. Happened to my bm when bma came along.

making new classes and releasing them for ac or mem makes them money. need i say more? from all the classes this year, 95% are mem/ac. there was a free class promised in february and its still not released.

chrono assassin will beat aa, daimon and bb easily but has little to no chance vs bma and lbma.

Ok, i'll leave my criticism for the direction aqw is going on a different post since i might stray off topic.

Well its nice to see that the ac only bma has still a fight in him even with these new classes. I wish i could say the same for the older ones.

Now arcane/mystic darkcaster! What's up with that? Good? Bad? Decent?
Im sorry for zooming from one class to another, i just want to catch up and there's just too many new ones.

the class is based on stacking dmg, damage reduction. by design the class is horrible in pvp. not the worst though, some of the older classes hold the title too tightly.

use artefact hunter, strike fast and hard and when the lbma gets to 66-75% hp, use your reflective shield. and pray to rngesus. the hp based unavoidable meganuke is melee range so as long as you keep your distance and you are careful with the hp of your enemy, you are good to go. im able to win 9/10 duels like this. the ranged nukes that the class delivers can be dangerous so if you receive a few too many crits, you need to activate the shield right away. dont let your hp drop below 50%. the shield lasts long enough for your to win and if you are lucky, the enemy may strike at you and receive additional damage.

all other strategies ive got are with classes that have a stun that you need to time well and hope you can win during that stun. vot, sc and others. they are not as strong against a class with this much dodge, or im the one rngesus hates when it comes to hitting.

It's based on skill stacking to be most effective, and you really won't have that kind of time in team PvP, especially not 1v1. It's not your best choice.

Mainly so you don't have a bunch of people getting something for nothing like in Bludrut. It was annoying to have a match, but three of your teammates are just in the safe zone farming trophies and being generally useless. Death Pit Brawl only awards the Death Pit Tokens as drops for actual kills. Which is nice. Combat trophies as player drops could have worked too. Overall I like it way more than Bludrut though.

I don't see the logic behind 'afk will get trophies, so let's remove them altogether.' It still happens in other brawls.
If trophies were added, all brawlers would come together in this arena, instead of being scattered. The game has a lot less players than a few years ago so bringing everyone in one map would make most sense.

Seems like the team just forgot to add them to this one, can some twitter guru message devs about this? Since they never come on forums..

The logic is that it's a Player Vs Player match, and a Player needs to fight other Players to get a reward. Even if everyone IS scattered, I'd rather have a 4 on 4 where everyone's actually doing something than an 8 on 8 where only seven total people across both teams are participating.

The should add Death Pit Brawl to the PvP section of the game menu too. I don't think Chaos Brawl is there either. Or even a PvP hub map would be nice, with a central room that leads to the other ones. Like if I was new, I'd have no idea where to find Bludrut, Chaos, Doomarena or the Death Pits. /join pvp would be pretty easy.

The thing with trying to prevent people from leeching trophies is that there's no incentive for winning.
A possible fix would be to give awards based on the amount of point values you contributed, but as a whole the system has a lot of flaws that Death Pit Brawl only partially fix, which in turn causes other problems.

its in the game menu. when you first come to aqw, thats the first thing you see and the first thing youll explore.
thats why there are also mem only shops, rare shops, ac shops, ac class shop and so on.

besides, a new player is not ready for pvp combat.
