Purple Rain

Neutral spell

The first time you cast it, you pay the listed SP and gain Empowerment (+5% damage) and Suave (see table) for 3 rounds.

The second time you cast it, restore your HP/MP/SP back to what it was when you first cast it. Ditto the monster. You also gain Choke (-10% damage) and Repulsive (decreases CHA, CHA as above*2) for 3 rounds. Also, the buffs from the first cast disappear for no bonus effect. You also lose SP equal based on the table below; if you don't have enough SP, then it's taken out of your HP. If you wait 4 rounds before casting it then the SP cost is halved; if you wait 5+ rounds then it's free.

If you're using a lower-level version, then (a) the bonuses get modified by the Poelala outlevelling formula and (b) there's a failure chance on the second cast. It's 100% at buy level and just gets multiplied by that same formula if you're lower. No bonus on the second cast for using a higher-level version.

The second cast is considered a Form Shift effect. Monsters immune to Form Shift are immune to it. Monster with resistance/weakness to Form Shift will modify your level for the failure chance in the previous paragraph.

Earth Spell is two hits, -10 BTH, -57.6% damage. The monster is Petrified (1 round). The monster can resist with a save at -20 (if both hits connect) or +0 (if only one connects) (inflict with [mainstat]/LUK, resist with CHA/LUK).

Kam left these notes for the new Legion's Violence package:

Ele-Seeking spells/skills

Legion's Violence - Ice/Darkness
Cysero's Booth Spell - Water/Energy
Arctic Tornado Spell - Ice/Wind
Creation Burst Spell - Earth/Light
Volcanic Lightning Spell - Fire/Energy

All of these except Volcanic Lightning currently charge 100% Melee in HP for one variant to add +100% damage to the spell, so there'll be a version of that and Legion's Violence made that uses the added HP cost. Also will be updating the HP cost on these to be in-line with current standards. These are all updated to scale, and have skill variants that'll do Melee damage if you're using a Melee weapon, Ranged damage otherwise. Also they'll have efficient versions that cost only have 40% Melee MP cost, and deal -37.5% damage (so 125% Melee).

The attack is four hits, +0 BTH lean, -24.75% damage. Afterwards, the monster becomes Dazed (25%*[ice resist] stun chance, [hits connected] rounds). The monster can resist with a save at a +0 bonus (inflict with [mainstat]/LUK, resist with END/LUK).

Hey, is Unraveling Nightmare supposed to cost MP on both turns? Because the way it is right now, it takes 871 MP to cast the first round, when I spend a turn to charge up and inflict Defloss on myself. Then, the second turn, when I cast it again, it takes another 871 MP, meaning I can only get damage out of it once before I have to use a mana potion or something.

Clarification for the Poison Power and how it is calculated.

Poison Power = 2.5 x (132/109) x [DamageMod]

[DamageMod] = ([DamageDealt/MobAttackElement]/ExpectedDamage)^0.75, if ([DamageDealt/MobAttackElement]/ExpectedDamage) > 1, else [DamageMod] = ([DamageDealt/MobAttackElement]/ExpectedDamage). DamageDealt = [RawDamage/MobAttackElement]

At lv 150 ExpectedDamage is something like 395ish or 404ish if its using PowLvl.

From Season of Consequences: Entropy: Deren Asunder. Grand Erosion. Kam says:

Water spell, 4-hits, 1/3 base lean and -10 inaccurate lean. Is overcharged, but pays the damage gained from this and MC (so 30% of spell damage, or 60% Melee) to attempt Water EleVuln on the foe. 60% Melee becomes 120% with a 50% save, have it last 3 turns and we get 40% per turn, x(85/75) due to the inaccurate lean and we get 45.33...%, then /1.4 since it affects the player's whole side of the field and we get ~32.38% Melee per turn. So the spell attempts to inflict a +(32.38 x Hits / 4)% Water DmgTkn EleVuln for 3 turns, 50% save, inflicts with INT/LUK vs mob's STR/LUK (standing firm in the face of the watery onslaught).

Was fixing some math errors and accidentally revamped the old Gecko Chomp GGB.

Gecko Chomp

MC Earth spell, 2 hits.

Deals -25% damage. After the attack, regardless of whether or not it hits, the mob suffers Defence Loss (-15*[Earth res] blocking, 4 turns) subject to a save at a -20 penalty* (inflict with INT/LUK, resist with END/LUK).

*MC: Save is at -20 penalty instead of +0.

Scales as a GGB item.

Wind spell, 3 hits, pays MC and 79.25% Melee (total of 89.25% Melee, so spell loses 39.625% damage) to have a (50 x MobWindRes x Hits / 3)% chance to attempt Sleep on the foe. Inflicts with INT/LUK vs mob's END/LUK, save has a -10 penalty (so lasts 1.5 turns on average). If enemy is already asleep, the spell instead simply does +5% damage as its MC.

Rising Knightmare

Healing skill, costs 100% Melee in SP, seeks the higher of STR/DEX for stat bonuses, MC effect is a simple +5% potency to the healing. Does not get a -10% always useful penalty, but is instead modified by the mob's Ice resists, and has x0.85 for auto-hit. Flavour effect has it eat Panic to provide up to +400% Melee worth of healing, any past that will cause the existing Panic on the mob to be weakened instead of simply removed. So say you have a -90% DmgDlt Panic on the enemy with a 30% save (so 30% chance to cleanse the status). That gives us a total of (90 x 1.4 / 0.3) = 420% Melee on this Panic. So what'll happen is that it'll eat 400% Melee from the Panic, leaving it with about -4.29% DmgDlt Panic, with the save untouched. If using this with the armour/shield from the set, the skill will get +10% to its healing potency.

Guardian Giftbox '22 spells: Santartic Crusher

MC Ice spell. Comes in Melee+SP, Ranged+SP, Magic+MP, and CHA+SP variants. The SP variants are in the Guardian tower for the next month.

4 hits, +0 BTH lean, -50% damage. Afterwards, the monster becomes Fragile (-33.3*[hits connects]/[hits attempted] END, 5 turns). The mob can resist at a save at a -20 penalty* (inflict with MAINSTAT/LUK, resist with END/LUK).

*MC: Save is at a -20 penalty instead of +0.

Snake Master Strike

4 hit Overcharged Darkness spell/skill, neutral hit rate and damage leans, costs 175% Melee in MP or 150% Melee in SP. Normally an OC spell deals +25% damage so it's got 250% Melee, and MC adds on another 10% Melee. Spell instead uses 60% Melee to apply 2 turns of +30% LS chance Hypercrit to the player, before any damage hits are done. Of the remaining 200% Melee, the spell then loses half damage and MC bonus (110% Melee) to attempt a <Hits> turn 55% Melee Darkness Poison, inflicts with INT/LUK (STR/LUK or DEX/LUK for skill version, depending on held weapon type) vs mob END/LUK, 50% save.

Invincible Heart

Quick-cast spell, can be used once per turn. When cast, the spell presents you with 6 options. The options are MP and SP versions of Minor/Greater/Super Invincibility Heart, each one provides you with a 1-turn 33%/66%/99% damage reduction EleShield effect that covers all elements. These effects cost (33 x 1.4 x 1.1 / 0.85 = 59.79)%, (66 x 1.4 x 1.1 / 0.85 = 119.58)%, and (99 x 1.4 x 1.1 / 0.85 = 179.36)% Melee, respectively. Basically it's the damage reduction value, x 1.4 since it's working off of monster damage, x 1.1 since it's universally useful, and then /0.85 since the effect auto-hits.

Note: This shares a cooldown timer with Invincible Star, so if you cast the Super Star version of Invincible Star, both it and this spell will be on a 4-turn CD.

Like Invincible Star, this spell also has en extra auto-hit penalty for no reason as the *1.4 already factors that in so it's a bit underpowered.
