1. Awesome
2. Yeah I bought all the mighty shadows today except the Gauntlet 2 I can't and won't until next black friday since Gauntlet 2 would be on the 5th, wish i thought of it sooner. I'm guessing i might be ok with what I have for my characters without a GT.
3. So the house guards only matter for the guard tower, but the mega world portal will still be more efficient?
4. Ah, I did not know people experimented with this, so I guess I will lower my rep to 7 and 8, and experiment with them. See which is more efficient to do full with 7 rep or half with 8 rep.

Thanks afterlifex.

Edit: To bottom, thanks again, lol you wrote 7 full and 8 half in the previous post, thought i read it wrong at first lol. But awesome, i will do 7 half and 8 full and see how it works for me. Thanks again.

afterlifex -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (11/30/2017 9:24:35)

3) According to Capt. Rhubarb the MWP is better at its job since that the only thing it does. I am not sure extensive testing has even been done but you still run into the issue of cost going up as power goes up.

4) 7full (there is no half) and 8half appear to the the exact something. 7 just takes less clicking.

fixed

Demdon Niomet -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (12/12/2017 13:09:48)

I apologize if this question has already been asked, but is it possible to lose guards by participating in a war?
On another potentially unrelated note, is it possible to temporarily suspend the function and consumption of a building without losing it or one of it's levels?

Hoping for an answer merely to sate my curiosity,
Jay.

Lord Markov -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (12/12/2017 13:53:11)

1. The only way to "lose" guards is by selling them. They will not be killed/go MIA by getting sent to a war.
2. If a building is on your estate, it will always perform all of its functions, whether they be producing something, consuming something, or a combination of both. Purposefully "disabling" it while it is taking up a land slot is not possible. Letting it come under attack is possible, but random.

afterlifex -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (12/12/2017 14:02:34)

if your buildings get invaded still you can just leave it as is:
quote:

Question: What happens when one of my estate buildings is under attack?
Answer: When one of your buildings is under attack, it won't produce or consume resources anymore until you fight off the attacker. You also won't be able to use the buildings special options, like training or trading, until the attacker has been fought off.
Higher level buildings have a higher chance of being attacked than lower level buildings. Buildings with a level of 0 or 1 and the Guard Tower are immune from being attacked.
For a quick overview of which of your buildings is under attack, check your character page. Buildings that are under attack show an exclamation mark next to them.

Just wondering if the Museum still gives out an extra GGB every month? My main character used to get it for every month up till now.

afterlifex -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (1/1/2018 10:35:09)

You also get one for being a guardian, so there is no way to know which you didn't get.

I am going to say we apply the standard answer to this:
quote:

What can I do if I did not receive my free box this month?.
If you are a Guardian, you have logged in to the game this month, and you are sure you have not gotten your one free box, follow the below steps in order.
Step 1: Clear your cache and re-log in.
Step 2: Wait until the 5th of the month.
Step 3: See if it is a personal issue or a game wide issue. (This means see if anyone else has asked the same question)
Step 4: If it is a game wide issue, do nothing and simply wait.
Step 5: If it is a personal issue, you may PM In Media Res with your character ID if it is after the 5th.

Please do not PM IMR or any other staff member about a missing free giftbox until you have followed steps one through four.

=AQ= Frequently Asked Questions

& yes I only have 1 GGB as well.(so see step 2 & 4)

Harukun -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (3/1/2018 23:06:41)

Is the skycastle worth it or should I keep the deren estate? Also, is the deren estate supposed to have 15 plots of land now since the update cause if so they need to update its description in the shop?

afterlifex -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (3/1/2018 23:13:19)

Depends on what you are looking to get out of your estate.

Castle gives 2 extra inventory slots.
Higher purchase cost than deren's current cost but lower than its previous cost, so interest value is a person to person matter.

At this time castle does NOT have any unique resource producing building as such deren has a better total production per hour. However castle will get at least 1 in the future thou we have no idea how good it will be and may get more. As well it will be some time till anyone have the new plots and building maxed in lvl where that will matter.

All and all it's about what you want to get out of it but it's too soon to actually say. If you use your estate for wars I would stick with deren, buy beanstalk and start lvling it and any new non deren resource producers in the mean time. If castle then becomes better you are ahead of the game and if not no lose.

Yes all estates gained +1 so things need to be updated in game.

Bannished Rogue -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (3/22/2018 18:14:48)

I recently started partaking in purchasing holiday event painting portals and just recently bought the Blarney painting and went back the first war to get the Blarney rogue outfit however the war count is at 0 and at the top it says 1000000. Is this a bug or do I really have to fight 1000000 enemies all by myself?!

As I revisit all the other past events the war count is already at 100% which would lead me to believe that it is a bug, or am I wrong?

afterlifex -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (3/22/2018 18:28:05)

Not sure what the issue is there but it's unlikely the armor would be there. Looking at the other older shops that had variants of it they all just lead the "Past Blarney Rewards shop". As it doesn't have any of the variants of the armor it's likely staying rare.

Carandor -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (3/22/2018 18:28:18)

Even if you could defeat all the monsters and unlock the shop, Blarney Rogue is perma-rare. I believe the shop that used to house it is now used for the past Blarney Rewards.

Demdon Niomet -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (3/26/2018 11:22:55)

I'm sorry to be a burden again, but I have read from various pages on this site that Z-Token interest is:
2% every two weeks.
Comprehensive Housing Guide (In-game Tour)
1% every two weeks.
I can't find this source right now. I apologize for that.
As you can see, I don't have the foggiest on what I am to believe. The first one gives 12 weeks before you can sell the house for a profit. The second two takes longer at 22 weeks before you start making a slim profit from the interest.

If an answer could be given, it would be greatly appreciated.
Jay.

Zippleclopper -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (3/26/2018 11:36:35)

It is 1% interest every 2 weeks now. It has been changed from 1% every week to 2 weeks due to changes in the Z-Tokens pricing. More details here.

afterlifex -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (3/26/2018 11:44:56)

Demdon Niomet Most sources you will find like that guide haven't been updated in years. The Q&A FAQ's however are generally kept up to date. Always perfectly fine to ask, if a guide hasn't been updated in a few years best to err on the side of caution.

Demdon Niomet -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (3/27/2018 4:44:51)

Thank you. I am grateful for the information, even if I don't like the answers to my question.

Hoping that the interest doesn't plummet further,
Jay.

Bannished Rogue -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (4/15/2018 12:06:46)

What's the interest increase on the skycastle mansion estate? Like how the Deren Mansion estate is 150 z-tokens bi-weekly.

And while we're at it, what about the Celestial haven mansion estate?

Lord Markov -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (4/15/2018 12:41:37)

Skycastle should be about 175 every two weeks since its price is 17500.

Celestial Haven's is the same as Deren.

Bannished Rogue -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (4/15/2018 16:58:25)

Thanks, I forgot to ask, what's its immediate sell back?

afterlifex -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (4/15/2018 17:05:17)

quote:

Question: I have players heard about making a profit off their houses. How does this work?
Answer: Your house's sellback increases over time. The initial sell back price is 90% of the original buying price. The value of the house will increase by 1% of its original buying price every 2 weeks in total, starting from when you first bought it. The sellback is updated every day. In other words, it increases by about 0.07% every day. There is no cap to the house values.
This only applies to the house's buying price. None of the house items increases the amount of interest your house generates.

17500*.9=15750

Cleric_Bukowski -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (6/10/2018 8:33:10)

Why are House guards so expensive? it's 6-7 K tokens just to get a high level house guard?! That's more than half of what a Deren mansion estate costs seems a little overboard. Is there any point to them? are they worth the tokens?

afterlifex -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (6/10/2018 8:46:02)

Their price hasn't been updated yet like token items.

If you are running an estate with the mind set to use it in wars(only reason you should be buying buildings or looking at estates beyond interest) then yes they are worth the investment.

Your options are:

1) No guards and get constantly invaded thus your resource production takes a massive hit. You also have to babysit your estate.

3) Use a guard tower and a few good cheap guards(shadows) and take a small hit to resource production do to the GT's upkeep at higher lvls.

3) Buy enough guards to either only need a low lvl GT(lvl3) or not at all and get fully resource production.

If you are worried about cost an estate isn't something to get started with, it's a token sink.

edit: my estates value is somewhere around 60K+. I started from like day 1 however so the actual investment has been minimal.

bubu -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (7/11/2018 23:47:51)

I have a deren mansion estate that sells for exactly $68k tokens. I haven't played for a long time and just got back into the game. Since the house interest has changed, does this apply to old houses that were bought? Should I sell deren and buy sky mansion estate?

Thanks,

Lord Markov -> RE: =Q&A= Houses, Estates, and Portals (7/12/2018 2:18:22)

All houses, regardless of when they were bought, accrue interest at the same base rate of 1% of initial buy price per 2 weeks.

With that said, a Deren Estate bought before the price reductions like yours has the highest initial buy price so it will be accruing interest faster than the Skycastle. If you were to sell your current Deren Estate, then Skycastle would become better.

Basically it comes down to do you need/want those 68k tokens now, or are you OK without them and want the (slightly) higher interest rate an old Deren Estate is going to give you.
