Nope, that's about as fast as it get.s You may be able to speed it a bit more by showing a simpler weapon and lowering the video quality, but that's about it.

Warmonger Zac -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 3:38:31)

The music for the war, man.

It's so epic.

Silver -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 3:50:57)

Ayyyy a war, this made my morning :D
Also looks like Cyrenius can finally rest in peace now lol

Rafiq von den Vielen -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 3:59:14)

Jesus, that music.

I'll agree to everyone saying it's great. But it makes me think of Linked Horizon for some extent... not that that's a bad thing, mind you.

Top of the Hour Wave Count Update!

We have defeated 194418 waves since the war started, 78344 waves since the last update 4 hours ago.
Our current speed is 484 wpm, which is 104 wpm faster than the last update.
At this speed, it will take us 9 days, 1 hour and 18 minutes to defeat the remaining 6305582 waves.

Next milestone - 25%: To reach 25%, we need to defeat 1430582 more waves. At our current speed, this will take 2 days, 1 hour and 18 minutes.

Next Percent: We are currently at 2%. At our current speed, we will reach 3% in 1 minute.

Our fastest recorded speed for this war is 484 wpm, and our fastest speed for all recorded wars is 6786 wpm, set in the Black Winter War of 2017.

I'll take over HWC for the next couple hours until the day crew takes over. Been a while since I've done this, and the first is always slower due to me getting used to it again. Numbers should be correct though.

P.S.: The war music is awesome and all, but nothing beats listening to a Numberphile podcast while warring. Or while doing anything tedious, for that matter.

Zoroark -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 4:12:07)

Can I just comment on how amazing the war music is

dragon_master -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 4:12:39)

See,I told you a war was in order.
We scorpio's predict future like no other.

Warmonger Zac -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 4:13:24)

Is it supposed to not be counting my waves?

It's saying 0 under "waves defeated", but I know I've done more

Lord Noonien Soong -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 4:14:25)

^log out and relog in to fix that, as suggested on the first page.

Kyros123 -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 4:35:56)

Can I just point out the irony that in an effort to punish the Rose for their interference, the Magestrium more or less ended up doing their job for them (the Rose was previously laying siege to Ateala).

Also was definitely not expecting "that" to be the Empresses appearance.

War music is great. Definitely one of the more epic soundtracks.

Also noticed that Ice Wisps actually have 25% fire resistance. Is that intentional?

Rafiq von den Vielen -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 4:46:32)

^I wanna guess so. The only other quest I can think of with Ice Wisps is the Ice Princess quest for Ash as a side character, and they had 25 fire resist in that.

Kyros123 -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 5:01:05)

^ Huh, I wonder what the lore justification is then. Ice monster usually don't have fire resistance to the the diametrically opposing nature of their elements but Wisps are also universally associated with fire and light due to their appearance as a ball of light or flame. So I guess that justification for their fire resistance.

But if that's the case then why do they have a -10 light resistance then? But then again other Wisp monsters we've fought in the past have been classified as Ghost/Spirit type enemies so it makes the would have a weakness to light/holy type elements. Actually the more I think about it the more confusing it is.

ChronoEye -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 5:23:53)

And I am back to the frey.

... I still cannot just simply believe, that this war is a thing. The music...! <3

Alpha Centipede -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 5:30:29)

@ChronoEye: Welcome back~

ChronoEye -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 5:52:33)

It's a funny thing though. I literally am active only when there's a war going on. Oh well, it's like always - wars brings us together. Which's good. [:D]

I gotta be out for a few hours, so HWC's up for grabs. Until then!

@ChronoEye: Likewise here. I'm only really active on the forums when a war is going on. I guess it's the atmosphere (and the friendly competition) that brings us together yeah.

ChronoEye -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 6:10:10)

Not bad of a WPM at all, noting that we do not have Catapults just yet.

And hey, @Alpha Centipede: Wars are the biggest thing in Dragon Fable for me. The source of the game's all happiness, and activity and everything. Since Wrath of Xan, there has been always good wars going, except the fact that... I do feel that this could be one of the best ones, yet! I mean, war against Magestrium? I saw this coming. I wanted this; and now, we have it!

EDIT: To add up, this current BGM = Best BGM of all Artix Entertainment, thanks to AQ3D!

Flamerider345 -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 9:07:39)

im pretty sure i wasnt the only who was surprised the empress was a moglin (course it turned out she wasnt). and the fact tat her song is playing during the war waves is just amazing.

gakorogirl -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 9:13:02)

I think it was revealed in the Design Notes near the end of Book 2 that she looked like that, and if I remember correctly she's also featured in one of the stained glass windows at the end of the Tomix saga- but it was for sure nice to see her in the game.

Flamerider345 -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 9:49:55)

@gakorogirl i see...i rejoined df after a long time and tat was during the war at the core.

Also i never understood wat was in tat glass window for yashtav, i didnt even no his new master was the empress herself. [:D]

also the escelense defender mite help as it increases damage against elementals, however only DA can show it (it would take a long time to level it up to 80 but the effect is the same at all levels if im not wrong).

also can i just once again say how much i love cryptic.... I LOVE IT. It is one of the best at war waves and (some admittedly) bosses.

blowthemandown -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 10:17:39)

Trying out RDL for the first time. Gotta say I like it. The music has a very Two Steps From Hell vibe, which is always a good thing.

megakyle777 -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (5/25/2019 11:01:05)

I go on holiday after the Sinnocene war for five bleeding minuteness and you manage to turn a desert into a icy waste.

(sighs)

Ok, guess I'm fighting for a bit. and keeping up morale like I used to maybe.

Came back to do one last HWC for the night. Am pretty tired now, so HWC's up for grabs. I'll crash after reaching 200 waves.

Edit: 200 waves done. Nights, y'all.
