Rtkat3 -> RE: September 2021 (9/1/2021 11:46:01)

Have we done anything Hollowborn-related before?

Beshin Adin -> RE: September 2021 (9/1/2021 14:24:14)

We got a Hollowborn hub, but no story

Jae10 -> RE: September 2021 (9/2/2021 11:39:34)

Yeah, this is a bit off-topic but does anyone happen to know if the Guardian's Overseer armor is still attainable, and if so, where one can get that? (The AQWiki is not pulling up a thing for it currently...)

Rtkat3 -> RE: September 2021 (9/2/2021 13:51:09)

So the Hub will be the launching point of the Hollowborn Saga!

Beshin Adin -> RE: September 2021 (9/2/2021 17:18:04)

Rtkat3 -> RE: September 2021 (9/4/2021 11:37:24)

I was able to play last night's release and Iara was described to be a woman of an indigenous tribe that fell off a cliff and into the the river during a scuffle in her family where Nature saved her life by turning her into a mermaid. This creature is in the same mythology as Cuca. Wikipedia has an article on Iara.

Beshin Adin -> RE: September 2021 (9/4/2021 13:06:51)

I like the new vampire motif

Rtkat3 -> RE: September 2021 (9/5/2021 13:26:19)

What vampire motive?

Beshin Adin -> RE: September 2021 (9/5/2021 16:16:47)

Nakana's birthday with Shadowslayer K

Rtkat3 -> RE: September 2021 (9/6/2021 12:38:13)

That was released on the same day as the Iara event.

Beshin Adin -> RE: September 2021 (9/6/2021 12:55:05)

I double checked. The items aren't as vampire-themed as I hoped. That's disappointing............

Rtkat3 -> RE: September 2021 (9/7/2021 14:49:10)

Talk Like a Pirate Day is this Friday.

Beshin Adin -> RE: September 2021 (9/10/2021 19:53:24)

At last! The Elemental Titans return!

Rtkat3 -> RE: September 2021 (9/11/2021 11:53:27)

First we got Phedra: Elemental Titan of Fire. Second, we got Gaiazor: Elemental Titan of Earth. Third, we encountered Enfield: Elemental Titan of Ice on the Ice Plane. Now, the Dragon Pirate Scalebeard has taken the Prime Water Dragon's power to awaken Leviathanius: Elemental Titan of Water. It's like the AQW Team has gone down a different path with the awakening of the Elemental Titans.

At least we got to meet the Dragon King Zelgarius who was alluded to in the release were we fought Duncan and the Dragon Hunters.

Beshin Adin -> RE: September 2021 (9/12/2021 10:34:33)

Dont forget Extriki, Elemental Titan of Nature/Poison
And was Kollbayan a Titan?

Rtkat3 -> RE: September 2021 (9/12/2021 11:20:22)

Extriki and Kolyaban don't count as they are the children of the Queen of Monsters. One is slain by the players with Extrikitis spawned from it's carcass and the other one is still at large.

While we have gotten acquainted with Phedra: Elemental Titan of Fire, Gaiazor: Elemental Titan of Earth, Enfield: Elemental Titan of Ice, and Leviathanius: Elemental Titan of Water, we still have to encounter the Elemental Titans that are associated with Air, Energy, Darkness, and Light. I can't say if the Child Elements of Nature, Magic, and Void have their own Elemental Titans or not. That will be for the AQW team to decide.

Beshin Adin -> RE: September 2021 (9/17/2021 21:09:26)

Im disappointed. Phedra and Gaiazor were big bosses of a whole arc, Enfield and Levi get one or two episodes...

Rtkat3 -> RE: September 2021 (9/18/2021 11:06:40)

The player did say that Nevanna will have to be briefed about Leviathanius. I had no idea that Scalebeard used to work for Desoloth and that King Zelgarius was the one who sealed Desoloth away. Unfortunately, King Zelgarius is unaware that Desoloth has been revived as Desolich who is still out there.

Looks like the AQW Team are going down a different path with the awakening of the Elemental Titans.

Beshin Adin -> RE: September 2021 (9/18/2021 13:24:11)

I think Wind Titan is next. We have Earth, Fire and Water

ergotth -> RE: September 2021 (9/19/2021 4:11:32)

I'm dissappointed Titans went from "primordial brings from an Eldritch broodmother" to "oh look this week's new boss... go kill it for drops!" While I don't blame the writers for limiting Phedra and Gaiazor to "Chaosbeasts 2.0" since the saga had just started and AQW had been stuck in this format for HALF A DECADE... I wish you guys had put more faith in the once-new writers you had for the titans saga instead of retracting inside your shells after the lukewarm reception Brightoak saga had.

On that note, would be hilarious if the next titan we find is a tiny little creature, just to put that bit of irony and give us something like "don't judge a book by its cover" by giving immense powers to a tiny little creature xD Maybe the titan of Wind or Light can be a pixie xD

Rtkat3 -> RE: September 2021 (9/19/2021 10:52:10)

The Elemental Titans are not Chaos Beasts.

Besides the Elemental Titan of Wind, the rest of the Elemental Titans we haven't seen yet are those that represent Energy, Darkness, and Light.

One of these upcoming releases will have us having to deal with Malgor at the Mana Core.

Beshin Adin -> RE: September 2021 (9/19/2021 14:27:57)

It would be interesting if the next Titan is of Storm. both Wind and Energy

Rtkat3 -> RE: September 2021 (9/20/2021 12:33:41)

If there was a Titan of Storm, then there would be a chance that Storm would be a Child Element alongside the Child Elements of Magic, Nature, and Void.

ergotth -> RE: September 2021 (9/22/2021 17:45:41)

Sure they are not chaosbeasts, lore-wise, but in the end we got with Embersea and Brightoak the exact same shebang: evil idiot summons big monster and we have to bash both to save the day. So whats really the point? When I think of Titans, I remember the greek myths where Titans were literaly the "Gods before the Gods". Kronos and his wife Rhea rulled the cosmos, Prometheus brought fire to humanity, Mnemosyne gave birth to the nine muses, but here the Titans are like... really strong monsters that we are still able to slay with minor difficulty. They are several steps below the Avatars, which are supposedly less ancient, so it would make more sense if the Titans regarded us as mere specs of dust in the universe, had more presentation and, such as many character in AQW before, NOT LACK A PERSONALITY!* Would be more fascinating to hear what Phedra has to say instead of screeching behind a Spartan megalomaniac.

*I can't skip the fact recently AQW is giving more insight on whats inside a villain's noggin, and thats really good! Tyndarius became much less forgettable and interesting through his Avatar ordeal and Malgor is definitely intriguing.
