    Dark/Light/Fire spells, respectively they're efficient/normal/overcharged, these spells are all 4 hits and are auto-hit. For being auto-hit, they normally would deal x0.65 damage, but MC mitigates 0.05 of this penalty, so they deal x0.7 damage. Efficient/normal/overcharged versions cost 40%/100%/140% of normal spell MP cost, and deal -37.5%/+0%/+25% damage. Basically for a normal spell you'd get adjusted from 200% Melee to 125% Melee for efficient, and 250% Melee for overcharged.



    Just for the sake of the auto-hit by using Frost Elf Rampage against monsters with >130 MRM.

    As an example:
    Mighty Shadow Rock
    144 Melee
    134 Ranged
    144 Magic

    Pyromancer Bloodmage vs Pyromancer's Robe + Flaring Potence + Pyroclastic Lore

    So, Pyromancer's Robe + Flaring Potence + Pyroclastic Lore will deal more damage in this case, right?

    So, Pyromancer's Robe + Flaring Potence + Pyroclastic Lore will deal more damage in this case, right?


    As Flaring Potence deals (124.53 + 3.25*ClassLevel + 0.15*ClassLevel^2)% damage, at an assumed class level 10 you can expect to deal:

    Pyroclastic lore boosts this by +50% (total 222% damage). This would look like this:

    2 * (1 + 0.72 + 0.5)


    So, with and without frost elf assault (*0.7 damage):

    Standard Spell: 2 * (1 + 0.72 + 0.5) = 4.44
    Frost Elf Assault: 2 * (1 + 0.72 + 0.5) * 0.7= 3.108


    By contrast, Pyromancer bloodmage is a straight +50% damage, but it does have elecomp on its skill worth *1.84977 at Level 150:

    Blood Pyre: 2 * (1 + 0.5) * 1.84977 = 5.549


    Blood pyre does extremely large amounts of damage due to elecomp, but a regular spell in bloodmage will do less than frost elf assault in pyro robes with imbue on even if it's taking a *0.7 penalty.
