  • CH4OT1C! -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/13/2024 17:12:24)

    Looks like a really promising set of items - The fire staff looks particularly interesting, and I'm curious to see how they make the supposedly 'useless' weapon... useful.

    MetalKnight -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/14/2024 22:07:54)

    pretty exciting for the mirror vordred set! i hope the mirror vordred armor have a full CC like just the the M.Vordred face.

    battlesiege15 -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/15/2024 8:23:19)

    I hope the "Unnecessarily Ornate Useless Weapon Just For Show" is an UltraRare with no MC or special effects lol

    The Hollow -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/15/2024 19:21:52)

    The release is live! Check out the newest Golden Giftbox arrivals in this third and final week of prizes:

  • Call Stone Assassin Spell
  • CC Mirror Vordred's Frigid & Reflective Panoply Armors
  • CC Frigid & Reflective Mirror Vordred's Sacrifice Miscs

  • Branl -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/15/2024 20:07:00)

    Heads up! The barrier skill on the Vordred armor softlocks the game.

    Sapphire -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/15/2024 20:09:16)

    Also the magic staff is melee

    And the armors have a SC lean option, but nothing it does works with spells? (Maybe only light/ice?)

    Branl -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/15/2024 20:26:31)

    Stone Assassin Guest's Health Gate also doesn't work (You can activate the skill whenever)

    battlesiege15 -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/15/2024 20:34:24)

    Dang

    Sapphire -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/15/2024 20:50:31)

    ^Pretty sure that's broken. I was doing 1500-2k in a couple turns .

    CarrionSpike -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/15/2024 20:53:19)

    It would appear so.

    battlesiege15 -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/15/2024 23:33:40)

    Sad but it was pretty fun seeing heals that big

    J9408 -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/16/2024 0:56:05)

    Great weapons! The light ver of Reflective Void Armament work very well with Griffin Airstrike(light).

    Anyone got the Stone Assassin? How much damage does it do? That 10 turn cooldown sounds troublesome.

    Cupquake -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/16/2024 3:39:25)

    quote:

    With a +25% guest damage boost and Ferocious Strikes, I only got about 600 damage. The guest is incredibly weak due to the ridiculous 20BtH on it. It's not worth an UR.

    J9408 -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/16/2024 4:05:34)

    ^That really is weak.

    Perhaps a buff? The guest seems like a "finishing move" kind of thing, so how about after attack it inflicts a powerful bleed? To make up for the SP cost and the 10 turn cooldown, I'm imagining something like a bleed power of 2 or 3. It matches with the whole Assassin thing.

    KhalJJ -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/17/2024 10:27:45)

    I've heard that Mirror Vordred's weapons are not element-swappable in the item upgrader like the armor - is this intentional? If not, highlighting this as something to fix. Thanks!

    Sapphire -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/17/2024 13:25:53)

    IMO, the best item from week 3 is the dragonhead archon. I find that using it with seeing red, you're getting panic and a heal that isn't half bad. The burn is a cherry on top, and likely works very well with the burn option in the fire griffin airstrike spell. That stack will work very well .

    Next is the mirror vordred weapons. I could see people saying these are the best. A very good argument for it. For me, as mostly a caster type, I like the dragonhead weapon better. But for those who like to attack, there's some damage potential and heal potential so it's very good.

    The armor is odd, though. I don't mind things being crafted with a specific idea in mind, and I don't mind odd things where they don't meet up with generally accepted norms. In fact, I welcome it. SO I'm not too opposed to this design.

    But it *is* odd. First, I heard that any day now we may see a reversal of the SC lean affecting healing. I'm not opposed to this, as an argument can be made that anyone can use those armors, especially ones like this one where we can lean-swap. I just felt like at baseline that healing should be equal regardless of main stat trained. IF SC lean is viewed as not just a INT related item, then fine let's move with this.

    However, assuming this goes through, this armor feels like it will be best for FD warriors with the warrior lean on an ele locked 5 hit attack. And then the SC lean is for the barrier and heals while the FD warrior swap it's defense from .8x to 1.25x but gains the barrier and heal stuff being boosted. However, the blind and burn are ...weak as heck. So weak I don't even really seeing the partner weapon even eating it for hardly anything...and the blind/burn doesn't work with spells which is what the SC normally is enhancing.

    I have heard that there have been calls to alter it. Maybe it's not viewed as worthy of an UR. I would agree. W/O knowing the ideas presented, and assuming there will be changes, I would just wish the effects to work on spellcasts and then maybe be able to toggle for either burn or blind instead of both. The values when split are not worth even causing the damage to drop.

    The misc is just alright. Not worth an UR. And the guest is bad. Nobody wants to wait for monster HP to be below 50% for *any* effect. And the other weapons are 'meh'

    Week 2 was probably the best of the 3 weeks IMO. Week 1 next, week 3 last.

    Kwiss -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/17/2024 19:08:44)

    ^ I agree with the Mirror Vordred armor. I was surprised it didn't proc on spells considering its a spellcaster. The split between burn and blind should be toggeable with a stronger effect. Having both in tandem makes the effect incredibly weak; -10 Blind and 1.0ish Burn.

    At the moment its not worthy as an UR, but I'm hopefully if there are planned changes for it.

    Branl -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/30/2024 10:00:14)

    With the final rollout of the Golden Giftbox Crossover items, there is the ever-growing fear from many players that vital gap filling items will be leaving once the event fully concludes. As such, I've compiled a lot of crossover items that, have little to no competitive alternatives permanently available:

    Human Fisher

    FO Water is in a very challenging position now. Many FO Water armors that exist are either considered undesirable due to being based on to be revised and extremely cumbersome mechanics such as Kingdred, or are Seasonal (One of these, Fae-Touched Knight's Regalia, being for Rangers/Hybrids, and another, Spring Dryad Vestments, exclusively for hybrids). I think many players would appreciate an additional gap closer while waiting on non premium modern FO Water support.

    Ice Wizard Tome

    This is the only Ice Tome in the game. It's hard to understate just how valuable this item is for Tome Mages. They don't have any other options.

    Chaos Slayer Cleric

    These series of items were recently changed to SC lean due to the dire lack of Spellcaster support due to the relatively recent decision to orient mages around that lean. As such, there are very good reasons to keep these armors permanent, as it covers elements for SC armors that are either seasonal, or package based.

    There could be more important build items at risk of leaving, just thought I'd mention a few. I think a lot of people would appreciate these being permanent.

    battlesiege15 -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (8/30/2024 10:18:48)

    Maybe it's time for an update for Glacial Short Staff (not quite a tome though)

    NightofLight -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (9/17/2024 14:12:31)

    My personal recommendations for items to keep arround would be the Chaos Slayer Clerics since they cover a spellcasting niche due to being Spell Lean now, Vordred armors due to covering an FD niche for warriors and being a good deffensive Spell Lean Armor, and Star Sword due to being one of like 3 Melee SPellcasting options one of which is a Permarare.

    Red Blood -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (9/17/2024 14:21:56)

    I'll put forward the Lost Knight's Blade given it's status as one of the few End boosting items. the Frostfang blade for having a guest that shares your infliction roll for warriors rather than the expected cha roll, the Chaos Clerics for caster coverage, the Ice Wizard tome for lacking options, Illumina Gems for dual coverage+ compressed spell,Riadne's Venomous Scythe for those that play the long poison game+ have the few armors that would love a poison in every element, and lastly the Star Sword.

    The Hollow -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (9/17/2024 15:03:39)

    Feel free to share your suggestions for both new and returning items from the Cross-Game Golden Giftboxes that you'd like to see stick around! Given the significant number of items scheduled to rotate out in October, no prizes will be leaving this month.

    KhalJJ -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (9/17/2024 16:08:15)

    For reference, this is the list of returning crossover GGBs that Hollow posted way back in April:

    Rare Shop:
    Prometheus Helms
    Human Fisher Armor
    Infinita Staff
    Void Awakening Faces
    Void Awakening Wall
    Summon & Call Pridelord Guest
    Pridelord Pet
    Zurvana's Pity
    Zurvana's Wrath
    Zurvana's Blessing
    ShadowFlame Glaive
    Illustrious Saviour of Battleon Armaments
    Illustrious Savior of Battleon Faces
    Illustrious Battleon Saviour Defender
    Snake Master Strike MP & SP Spells
    Summon & Call Cosoma Guests
    Cosoma Pet
    Summon & Call Finnona Guests
    Finnona Pet

    Ultra Rare Shop:
    Seraphim of Ver Armor
    Prometheus Armor
    Timekiller's 3:10 MP & SP Spells
    Maw of Chaos
    Legion Spawn Bonker
    Call Blood Hawk P Spell
    Randor Pet
    Graves End Blade
    Graves End Axe
    Graves End Dagger
    Void Awakening Armor
    Summon & Call Void Awakening Skull Guests
    Called & Summoned Void Awakening Skull Pets
    Illustrious Battleon Saviour Garments
    Twisted Dragonfire Sword
    Titan's Mug Misc
    Infinite Dark Caster Armor
    Summon & Call Exalted Defense Drone Guests
    Exalted Defense Drone Pet

    I think of these, Human Fisher, Pridelord, Timekillers, and Blood Hawk P (lol) should stay for uniqueness/gapfilling.

    On this years, I think Mirror Vordred's set should stay, as it seems pretty iconic and CC options are cool/rare. Also, salek sprayer. +1 to chaos slayers as others have said for obvious reasons

    Mananite -> RE: =AQ= Golden Giftbox Cross-game Extravaganza - Week 3 (9/18/2024 16:10:41)

    Adding onto the above post, here's all the new GGBs that came this year:

    Common:
    Salek Sprayer Pet
    Unnecessarily Ornate Useless Weapon Not Just For Show

    Rare:
    Riadne's Venomous Scythe
    Ultimate Brand of Glory
    Wave of Destruction
    Lost Knight's Blade
    Chaotic Lacerta Staff
    Storm Knight Pet
    Phoenix Blade
    Dragonhead Archon

    Ultra Rare:
    Gluttony Pet and Guest Call Spell
    Ice Wizard's Tome
    Star Sword
    All elemental variants of Chaos Slayer Cleric Armor
    Arch Broodfiend of Nulgath Armor
    Frostfang Dormius Blade
    Skullcrusher Barrage Spell
    Illumina Mystic & Spirit Gem Miscs
    Call Stone Assassin Spell
    CC Mirror Vordred's Frigid & Reflective Panoply Armors
    CC Frigid & Reflective Mirror Vordred's Sacrifice Miscs
    CC Frigid & Reflective Mirror Vordred Armaments

    As for items that I feel shouldn't leave:

    Human Fisher: FO Water armours have historically (and still) suffer from an extreme drought of viable options, with the only always-available, non-token, non-GGB option being Kindred (which is a landmine of GBIs). Until a proper FO water armour is released (that isn't seasonal), Human Fisher should stay as a gapfiller.

    All Chaos Slayer Clerics: These were changed from FO to Spellcaster specifically to serve as gapfillers for Spellcaster lean due to the sheer lack of always-available, non-token, non-seasonal options. Feels silly to remove what are effectively the only always-available Spellcaster for every element so soon after changing them.

    Infinite Dark Caster: It's a Spellcaster armour in a game where Mages are starved for them. Same reasoning as Chaos Slayers for staying.

    Mirror Vordred's Panoply: It's one of the few scant Warrior-adjacent FD armours after the recent revamp created Warrior Lean. In line with my other UR armour requests, it also happens to pull double duty as a Spellcaster armour.

    Ice Wizard's Tome: It's the only Ice Tome at 150.

    Chaotic Lacerta Staff: It's the only really accessible Darkness Spell booster, given the alternatives are UR boxes or tokens.

    Riadne's Venomous Scythe: Same logic as Chaotic Lacerta.

    Dragonhead Archon: The only always-available alternative for boosting Fire Spells is Heroic Titan. Having this around gives Mages a "safer" alternative for Fire.

    Unnecessarily Ornate Weapon Not Just For Show: It's a Common GGB (and has incredible meme potential with how ridiculous its name is).

    Yes basically all the items I want to stay are Mage support, but that's primarily due to the fact that the vast majority of Spellcasting support has been GGBs as of late.
