Increases enemy HP between 1.9x to 2.1x, with a bias toward 2x. Removes all guests except those offered from quests; swapping to Doomed Mode mid-quest will remove external guests on the spot. Monsters will receive a random trait effect based on their element.- There is a generic trait pool shared by all elements that elemental traits are then added to.
- There is also a group enemy trait pool that can be drawn from when there are multiple enemies in a fight. Group traits cannot be applied to the "first" enemy in a fight.

Traits can buff the monster or debuff the player (removed when the monster is defeated).- Traits are always applied in the beginning of the battle and both traits are added to the monster's name (<Element Trait> <Type Trait> <Original Monster Name>).
Monsters will drop 3x Gold as a reward. Arena at the Edge of Time monsters have static 2x HP and 2x damage, but will not get any random traits. Other information Doomed Mode allows all foes to have increased HP and damage, random traits, and other restrictions; it is not recommended to enable this mode unless you are up for a serious challenge. Doomed Mode was originally named as 'Hard Mode' on May 28th, 2010, before being renamed as 'Doomed Mode' on June 11th, 2021. Doomed Mode was updated with stun effects applied to the player on February 14th, 2025. The Doomed Mode rework, which included random traits based on the monster's element and type as well as other exclusive features, was a long teased rework since February 23rd, 2018 before being released on September 5th, 2025.
