Can we trust Truth, Lies, and the rest regardless of possible tainting by Makkisar's evil?

They could be helping us because doing so is in the best interest of The'galin. The part of the faceless is wholly unknown--no mention in the histories and nothing definitive in the game. For all we know, they could be reinforcements to The'galin's undead.

We should always remember that The'galin employs deception, division, and confusion, to accomplish his goals. This applies to the game, the histories, the forums, the IRC, and the web. And if you think nothing in the forums or in the chat or NOVA could possibly hurt our characters in the game, consider how much we're being distracted discussing these topics instead of training our characters.

The only character I trust in this saga at the moment is the pointy-eared traveller, even though he is "maddening". And, my trust is limited to about as far as I can throw him.

Now then, on to what I personally know. We know that there is one elemental lord for each of the eight elements- fire, water, ice, energy, light, darkness, wind and earth. Now, it's simple enough to look at that and start constructing graphs of heirarchy and opposition- but that doesn't seem right either. I assume that each element opposes and aids every other element in unique, even situational, ways

How very logical of you. Have a cookie.

From the seeker!

The time is past to be afraid and listen to their threats.

Hiding may protect you from harm but it wont change facts. Every one of us has choices to make in whats to come. Generally speaking I hope that after I have made mine I can live with it.

All of us have to face this fact, not one of is immune.

Letting are selves be decieved into thinking we are safe is a folly. I know what I have to do and I intend to do it.

Now is the time for you to make your own decsions about where your loyalties lie.

It is not a plesant choice but it is one which must be made. Society depends on it. Actually, everything depends on it.

Letting yourself delay and put off what you have to do will not save you. Reason must be your guide in this.

Each one of you must decide and quickly All hope is gone if you do not.

Doom, thats what we are talking about here total doom. You have the power to decide this.

How is it going to end up? Each of us must make our voices heard.

Remember what I said before! Everything depends on it!

Hmm... if the faceless are somehow related to the elemental lords, what does that mean for when the messeger said that the faceless were a race? this proves that Dan was, in fact deillousnal, which in turn means that NOVA isn't complely a lie... I think this is the first time there's been anything to support what NOVA says! Also, this whole element thing explains the faceless's coloured robes

An interesting observation, but I somehow doubt that the correlation is necessarily indicative of the faceless' nature. Just because they are somehow connected to the elemental lords doesn't mean they are not a race. They may simply choose to ally themselves with lords.

And how does it prove anything about NOVA? Has NOVA mentioned the faceless at all?

Ehhhhh... yea. [Sarcasim]I understood all of it..[/Sarcasim]

Elaith -> RE: Clues VI (10/4/2006 17:38:50)

I just deliver the messengers. Remember, our loyalties lie with LORE first and foremost. As long as we protect it, the devourer cannot end it.

apaper -> RE: Clues VI (10/4/2006 17:41:09)

Faceless could mean unknown. Dead? Died in vain? Spontainias combustion? Could it be faceless such as a unkown traveler? The fisherman was a traveler and unknown somewhat. Some people thought he was full of lies, but some thought he was telling the truth. Just my guess. Probaly not right, but I tried [:D]

Kellehendros -> RE: Clues VI (10/4/2006 17:43:40)

RB, to my understanding, The'Galin wants to destroy all Creation, not just Lorithia's, but all worlds, realms, universes, etc. The reason for this would seem to be fear. He was mortal once, perhaps he fears to lose the power he was given, and so he destorys worlds to gain thier power, thereby gaining more power to fuel his conquests. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but you could say that The'Galin is afraid of our power, so he wants to destroy us and take it.

mars501 -> RE: Clues VI (10/4/2006 17:45:10)

if he's afraid of our power, then it should be possible to destroy him ;) or at least defeat him, which is always a good sign :-P

Why does The Seeker ask us to choose loyalties? Why does he want us to choose sides? Were we not given the directive to remain united together? Division will do nothing except to create weakness among us!

Firestorm01 -> RE: Clues VI (10/4/2006 17:47:47)

Not nessicarily. He could be afriad of the power we could potentially have. If everyone was to fight at their top level a war would be over in no time but the power we display is not normally what it is possible by us.

Lurithia? please explain.

Elaith -> RE: Clues VI (10/4/2006 17:49:15)

I would suggest that instead of joining Nova or Seeker like we have been then we form a group for LORE. Sometimes all we need to do is just trust in ourselves, and we can defend our world as one unified entity and drive back the enemy. This way as a group we will not need to trust in groups with ulterior motives. We will stand for what we do know, while working out what these other parts would like, and then whatever happens, stand between LORE and those who would do her harm.

Kellehendros -> RE: Clues VI (10/4/2006 17:49:34)

Lorithia is the facet of the Greater Creator that is responsible for the making of LORE.

mars501 -> RE: Clues VI (10/4/2006 17:50:26)

true.... I wonder if that means we'll get all massacured like, that probably wouldn't be good... specially considering there's a mod going around saying how the death of lore actually "could" be permanent ;)

Elaith -> RE: Clues VI (10/4/2006 17:52:16)

When the Hoplites entered war, they entered as one group because it gave courage to the whole and enabled them all to defend their brethren. Why not do the same? We can create a group on myspace, and use it to crack codes free from outside influence, and stand up for the creation.

I am through with NOVA. But beware, they have agents all over the internet. Trust only who you know are clean. Do not listen to Lord Ouranos and others speakings about NOVA being a "good" organization, they are in no way the good guys.

Lord Ouranos -> RE: Clues VI (10/4/2006 18:55:08)

I have never said that NOVA was good. I have been arguing that there is not enough evidence as of now to decide whether they are good or bad. Their actions will show us whether they are good or bad. And so far, the only things they have done is silence some people and hunt down the people who are speaking badly about them. So as of now, they seem to be more on the bad side. But the verdict is not decided as of yet.

Paladin of Darkness -> RE: Clues VI (10/4/2006 19:13:09)

..i think it has something to do with Aegis. just speculation though...

whatever it is, it DEFINITELY has to do with either a shield or a misc item. please don't ask me why...learn ASCII encryption

What I meant was that in spite of what Dan told us, the faceless seem to be more than just a race, and since NOVA covered dan's apparent mistake up, they can't be all bad, though their methods are shady.
