I'm with @legend knight on this one.
I mean (20 X-boosts --- 240SG vs. proposed XP-share artifact --- 9999SGs!!!!) lol! too funnny
Plus with 20 X-boosts it doesn't take a long time to get up to level 20. You could probably level up to 20 in one day if you're keen.
Also, maybe when Nulgath's ready, he will implement boss battles that gives higher XP to help with the leveling up.

I do realize that OS players without X-boosts have a hard time gaining gold.
However, I think that will be solved when quests (with gold rewards) are implemented. We just have to wait till we get out of Beta phase.
By the way, if you weren't aware, the treasure chest rooms are the best location for gold earning 'cause only there does the dreaded treasure chest trap monster appear, concealing huge chunks of gold from Oversouls/adventurers! Check on the Oversoul wikidot it you don't their locations.

It's a good that you voiced this thing up though because Nulgath might read it and implement little daily gold quests now just to boost up gold earning for OS players without much SGs to buy X-boosts.

One day, Nulgath will definitely implement this daily gold and XP quests. I am sure Nulgath was aware of this situation long ago and so will be coming up an idea to solve this issue. Right now, OS is still in beta release, we will need to test new intended features like elemental resistance before OS will be a complete game. Once OS finish Beta release, we can expect new quests! We will also expect the long-awaited Grand Quest and the main storyline too! Until then, the top priority now is to ensure every new features are test and functioning well so OS will be a complete game.

An easier way of organizing and hosting tournaments in game, with a prize set by the tournament maker as a reward. Maybe include a way to set AI moves for people who enter but can't make it.

The card minimum is obtained by combining the character deck you have targeted with the cards you have currently used, the same is said for the card maximum.


I only want this because I want to build hybrid decks, because honestly, I enjoy doing that in all card games.

Can we kill NPC's like in Epicduel. And they're at a fixed level.

So say you're a level 11. And there's a level 20 NPC. You can still battle it and it will be level 11 vs. level 20.

Yeaaaah? And maybe if you kill them you can open up a shop or something.

How about special bosses? Like bosses on the map. You know? You get me?

Like, at specific times of the day, an announcement would be made and it would be all like

Warning: ??? is on the loose.

And it would be a really tough boss somewhere on the map.

Or it could move every 5 mins etc.

And beating it would give you 10x the XP and Gold of a regular battle

And if you are LUCKY, it will drop a Treasure chest that when opened can either be an Artifact, character, monster, Special-edition CAAARDS, etc.

Or maybe it can just be a mini-boss like you know that giant hole in the east map? It would be really rare to come by a monster like

A boss or something. And it drops more XP gold. I dunno.

I really liked Nulgath's idea of specific quest unlocking evolutions for characters. I think that would be a supreme add on to game play.

I hope for more quests that don't say Possess this, that, this, that, this, that, this that, etc.

I hope for quests that say:

Slay 10 Paladins.

Slay 4 Peasants.

Win 20 PvP matches to prove your worth.

etc.

I would prefer any quests that is similar to Labyrinth Dungeon. I do not want to see PvP matches being part of the quests in OS.

^^@MDK I agree to that completely, but moreover I'd like to see quests with puzzle and riddles. These quests should not just solely ask us to slay 10 char[X] or 5 char[Y], rather it should make us think and grind. It should unlock secret passages leading to hidden areas and what not! The possibilties are endless but the bottomline is which ones get implemented! Lastly I just want these quests to be interesting above all! ^____^

Quests with puzzle and riddles would be interesting. I would love seeing every existing characters along with elements in OS being part of the riddles where we have to solve it based on the characters. Secret passage would be very exciting. There, we can face secret characters hiding there and also hidden NPCs giving us secret characters and cards. I am pretty sure Nulgath stated before that he planned for secret NPCs giving out special cards and possibly characters. OS have great potential to be a very fun and exciting game than AQW and ED. Once OS is a complete game, we can expect many new and exciting quests, secret NPCs, Grand Quests, more characters and the top priority, storyline! :D

I got a idea for a quest:

The idea is to complete and explore many places, such as dungeon and hidden places and complete them. You need to defeat the boss/do something but in each places, there would be puzzle and riddle that is different. You need to find you way out manually, instead of clicking the cancel button. But I suggest each places to be different, for example dungeon A and B will be different, with different puzzle and riddle to solve, that requires thinking. Reward could be anything, from a char, to unlocking hidden passage though I don't like gold and exp for a reward for hard quest.

Secret passages could be fun to be discovered. There should be a requirement to enter that place, not only posses a character or beat all the monster. Maybe you would need to use a certain character. I was thinking that maybe you would need to solve puzzle and riddles to access to the passage. There could be some npc who offer character,lore,some information and maybe quest.

Honestly speaking, involving boss in the quest is not really a good idea. I am not sure how to explain it but I would really love secret passage to be part of the quests along with quests that are similar to Labyrinth Dungeon. Secret NPCs will be very interesting! The mysterious fish guy is one great example about being a surprise and secret release.

Well Mega I also agree but I think bosses would be fun to fight but defeating the bosses is not the end of the quest. I was thinking that bosses could have exclusives card that are nto available to us. I also think that dungeon would be more challenging if that we must exit(in certain quest/grand quest) manually. Maybe by defeating the boss, we could get a certain clue, for example a clue to the secret passage.

I think secret passage should be optional. So in a quest/something we don't have to visit the secret passage to complete the quest but if we found it, it should be worth it. Secret passage could be guarded by some monster, but we must also solve a puzzle/riddle that are not easy to solve. There should be a variety of how to enter the passage though. I also hope that the secret passage contain interesting things. Maybe we could fight a certain npc available only in the place, buy character and finding more lore about oversoul. I hope if there is a secret passage, it will be worth it.

Fighting Bosses can be fun but yet infuriating due to Storm knight and Lich being "hacker". Putting them in the quest will cause some player to get furious since only Iron Hide characters or Queen Aegea can only defend and survive those 2 bosses' high damage and win. If use low level character against boss, its possible to win but it require plenty of luck to survive which is not fun at all. Secret passage will be very fun and exciting and we know it. ;) Anyway, for the boss to be out in the quest, we leave to Nulgath to decide but secret passage/area which contain secret NPCs that give special characters, cards and other stuff was confirmed by Nulgath. It was stated during the interview.

(Edit) And I remember one puzzle in Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, literally took me 2 years to solve it.

Nerf iron hide for the love of all that is good and decent in the world. Every neutral character I've fought in PvP has used it every turn. How is 1000-1100 defense that REGENERATES EVERY TURN AND ABSORBS UNBLOCKABLES balanced? It effectively more than doubles the character's health if you fight long enough. If you put a cap on how many shields can be spammed by ice characters, you should really do something about this, because now neutral characters have the same infinite defense problem (except they can also block unblockables). I recommend it blocking 1000-2000 damage for one turn only, even if you want to lower the cost for that. It being temporary makes no difference; most players charge to the cap so they can regenerate at least enough for iron hide every turn, while using neutralize and their excess energy to use other cards.

Iron hide isn't as broken as people think it, the 1000 damage phalanx effect (spell in ff that reduces damage by certain value), is probably the only way to be able to shield the good DoT spells without coming out on a loss over mana, and while it's good against some characters, others will just set up combos to break through it the way they would any other defensive characters

For example:
Iron hide is a 2:1
Shields are 5:3

If i wanted to block mountain strike(5:3), I would need to use either an iron hide, which would +1 mana me compared to opponent, or use 2 shields, which would break even
However, poison, corruption, and the other 2:1 ratio DoT's may as well ignore shields, as it costs more to shield them, than to cast them, while spells such as electicity are 3:1, reducing shields to near pointless, forcing a Rush-Or-Die, which isn't fesible by standard stall based characters.

I will admit that neutral might need balanced slightly, but not due to ironhide, and more due to neutralize, as barring corruption and iron hide, every neutral card is at best 5:4, barring the generic shields, so they need something to let them keep up.

But anyway:

Iron hide good vs slow DoT, bad vs spike DoT-> combo, medium vs people that just attack over it.
Iron hide balanced, as balances out the format by 2:1 DoT from out advantaging everything

Neutralize might need balanced, maybe 6 or 7 mana instead of 10?

Neutralize is fine the way it is. If it was FREE and you didn't need to discard, then it would be unbalanced.

@Bionic Yeah, I really think things like Mountain Strike, Shatter, MoD, and stuff like that should be DaT(Damage after Time). Personally, I prefer these over most DoTs, although there are some exceptions. Yay Corruption!

That's the thing, it completely blocks most DoTs. When one card can completely counteract a whole type of character, there's a problem. Not many characters are purely offensive anyway, and neutral characters can always put up counterattacks to deal with them. Neutral has a way to deal with everything, so it should have some kind of disability to put it on par with other elements. That would have been its high costs for cards, but neutralize makes it very easy to get energy back. I'm okay with putting neutralize back at discarding 3 cards for 10 energy, so that iron hide might not be spammed as much. However, I still think iron hide is the main problem and making iron hide require more cards would just hinder dual element characters. More energy efficient shields that block everything and can be kept up throughout the battle are too powerful. I don't think it should last for 2 turns. Even having it as 2000 for one turn would be like a one turn stun or significantly reduce the damage done that turn. It's still more efficient than shields and it can block any attack including unblockables, but it would no longer be able to be used non-stop. I mean, if there's any defense card you can use non-stop, there's a problem. That's why a cap was set for shields, because ice characters could set up defense that could not be taken down (but at least unblockables worked against those).

Plus the ratio for iron hide would actually be 4:1 since it puts up 1000 (or 1100) shields each turn for 2 turns equaling 2000 (or 2200) shields for 5 energy, and you can see what that does to DoTs. So it's more than double the efficiency of regular shields and it can be (and normally is) used throughout the fight.
