You know, I like that, and I would like to add a addendum to that: How about a sort of PVE Arena, where you can either practice against foes as you like to know their setup, set up a Arena Tournament where you can Pick characters to fight and send your tournaments to others to fight, make a Challenge Boss out of a character, with a harder deck to fight and more health, but better rewards, or make a Boss Area Tournament?

Now I know some people could claim that the boss fights could be abused, but the thing is unlike a game like AQ the values of leveling and gold obtaining are set by level. So just make a Boss Gold/Xp Amount, assign it to any char you make a boss, make sure all boss decks are a challenge by upping the power of all their cards and specials, and call it a day.

Hey, you are giving me some idea! I thought of a special room consists of different battle system with every single character that existed. Maybe make up of 3 different battle system.

1)Normal PvE battle - We can select any 1 character as our opponent.
2)Tag PvE battle - We select any 2 characters as our opponent while we select any 2 of our character for tag team PvE battle.
3)Arena PvE tournament - We select any 6 characters as our opponent while we choose 6 of our characters in the battle. Switching of characters on both player and opponent side are allowed.

What you guys think? The 3rd battle system I implemented sound very fun and exciting! :D

I like that idea, although I would like to add the Addendum that any character can be made in to a Boss Version with higher rewards but a MUCH tougher deck. So the attacks and special effects are boosted.

Maybe, for those who want an even HARDER challenge, do what DF does and add a MeftFace Mode option that's supposed to be nigh impossible with stuff like 2K attacks and cards like Health Drain restoring 1200 health.

I don't mind having any character being made into Boss Version so long as its NOT like Storm Knight and Lich who are consider a "hacker".

That arena option seems pretty cool. It reminds me of Pokemon but with OS characters it'll be far more epic lol we need it to be implemented.

Yeah, the 3rd battle system I implemented is something I want to see the most in OS consider OS is part of Pokémon theme game. This can help to enhance the fun of PvE but improvement of my suggestion can be made. Difficulty of the battle that is.

Something I would want to see is where you can customize your character's stance while in the town or while in battle. This isn't neccasary for right now, but for when this beta is over and all of the important things are implemented maybe we could have this? And I would also like to see different looking weapons for characters, so for example: The Earth Wizard is a staff person so he can get different looking staffs that you can pick just to be different than everyone else.

Just like how we can sell characters for our SGs back, I want to be able to sell for gold or delete the characters im not using at all (like the fairies). So I want to know if that could be in a future release?

Also, can you PLEEEEAAAASSSSSSSSE SPEED UP the card animation putting the cards into the play area and hand??? It takes like 8 seconds to get to the play area and another 8 seconds to be able to add it to my power boost card. and by that time im at about 8 seconds to finish putting cards up. I liked the INSTANT appearance of the cards during the early stages of this game before the updated interface.

I know that the basic objective is to collect as many vassals as you can, but I would like to be able to find the characters I ACTUALLY USE, as quickly as possible. Not to mention it would also be a good way to get gold, b/c as it is now, there's only one way to get gold and it is EXTREMELY time consuming.

Another thing I would like to see is an Escape or Run option in battle, so farming for a certain character can be made less tedious.

Another thing could be maybe buying levels, cause like 200 battles with 20 exp boosts and 606 battles w/o is WAY too much. IK its a shortcut that some ppl will not like, but for ppl like me who dont want to sit here farmming for 12 hours for 1 character, it is a very nice thing to have

@shadowgasher0090: I think an ''Escape'' option is already planned, but ''Escaping'' from an enemy will cost you something. :(

And I agree with you there. I want to be able to sell Characters I've possessed for Gold or SG if I bought them. Easier Gold-farming. :D

@shadowgasher0090 : You can have as many characters as you want and there are plans for a better sorting feature in the future, also for the cards you don't have to wait for the animation to complete you can click on them even while they are still moving around. The example here i placed a shield and retribution to play and ended my turn before the card animation ended.

@TheSage that's not what I mean. I mean: if you place a card in the que, then realize you forgot to use the attack boost on it, you have to wait for it to return to your hand to put it into the boost to click "Add" to then finally click play cards.

@shadow You do that less and less the more you play, because you see the hand and almost immediately I'm like: "Okay I know what to do." I do that maybe once every 10 fights, and only once each, so just playing more would help.

@BJEBLE Yes, I play alot, I joined JUST after Alpha phase ended (I was registered, but was not able to access a computer during Alpha phase) and am a Founder. Its just that WHEN IT happens, it is annoying, and don't like being rushed b/c of a little mistake.

I completely understand ShadowGasher's point of view especially when not playing on at least a moderately fast computer or when you need to take back multiple cards after thinking.


Also having even a single less annoyance could keep people happy and playing longer. In the end its the little things that get most people to quit things. People learn to take some things but when there are many little annoyances or things you dislike you just feel like quitting and many do.

How about making frostbite 1000 over 5 turns, 200 per pop? That way, I'd still be ridiculously slow, but could then potentially compete with things like shatter. The extra 200 might justify its use a bit more.

@Below Leveling ice is going to be long and tedious anyway. This is more for the sake of diversity; I discard frostbite most of the time if shatter is available. An exception would be near the end of the game, for finishing, but giving it an extra 200 and a turn would still help.

Worth testing out if Nulgath is here to listen to suggestion but I am sure Ice will be adjusted to make it easier for every player to level up Ice characters easier.

I think a DoT that lasts for 5 turns and costs 6 seems a bit strong. It's not hard hitting by any means, but a DoT that lasts for that long applies a lot of pressure on the opponent.
It definently isn't as strong as Shatter, however Shatter has such a long build up time, it's easier to prepare for the 1k dmg or decide how to act upon it. If you have a constant DoT on you
your shields/hp will always be reduced every round.

Not just that, but an even stronger DoT on an Ice Character is potentially dangerous or outright OP as Ice Chars are most known for their amazing defensive gameplay. Now imagine
you being able to maintain 1-2k shields and Shatter + Frostbites. Basically you'd need a lot of sustain + damage to be able to live through it.

If anything I think Shatter should be nerfed by 100 damage as it only costs 6 and despite being able to build up some defense prior to its detonating, the ice character usually ends up being able to
break your shield/take off HP from you before that happens as well.

My 2 cents, I'm not extremely keen on OS as a whole yet, but its just my observations.

Then you might as well nerf everything else. Mountain Strike, 2 turns, 6 for 1000? Coupled with petrify and stonewall? Electric Arc in the hands of someone with energize? 4 for 1200, 200 per pop as well? Corruption, 4 turn constant DoT for 2000 coupled with iron hide and neutralize? Rather than nerfing the entire game, how about buffing one card? I think shatter is perfectly balanced as it is and that frostbite is a bit lacking, taking everything else into account.

@below Ah, but you haven't addressed water's ability to charge with fresh start. Heck, despite light's obvious prowess at healing, it still has to juggle its energy between offense and healing, whereas water can easily gain charges. Also, the fact that a greater heal equivalent, healing spring, can be stacked with CC is another thing. It is slightly underpowered though, given the fact that fresh start consumes 2 cards. I think the lack of a DoT, as you said, and efficient attack cards balances it enough without the two card requirement.

At least shatter still help to increase the Ice characters' offense. The problem is water which don't have any DoT card. Water is still pretty much under power even with crash and power flow. Water is only good at defense and healing. It would be nice water gain some DoT card of its own.

The card should be called drown.
It should hit 200 then every turn add 100 for 4-5 rounds.

I wouldn't weigh the strenght on a card compared to other cards. I'm looking more at what element you are, and what cards that element provides.
Ice characters are mostly defined by their amazing defensive gameplay, but can still dish out a lot of damage whether it be at the cost of your defense, plain attack cards or "DoT" cards like shatter/Frostbite.
What they lack would be actual sustain in the form of healing.

Almost every element has some a trait which they are good at, and another trait which they are less great at.
Many of the combinations you mention, like Corruption with iron hide and neutralize are of course extremely strong. That is mostly assuming a perfect scenario, where the Neutral character in mind will most likely win (70% assured victory) but there is another
huge factor to take into consideration with the game. It's a card game in which you can only have 5 cards on your hand, and you have about 15 cards + 5 Custom cards. You'd have a draw a strong hand like that to begin with, and you'd need 15 Neutral points to even do the combo.
But yeah, you can just neutralise in the same round to then continue your assault. But this is all assuming you'd draw those 3 exact cards and to then be able to use it in 4th round or 3rd round.

If they were to buff Frostbite on a ice character, then you wouldn't really make it more versatile than it already is. You'd just be able to destroy anyone with little counterplay, since every card for the ice character would almost work in perfect harmony.
When you look at card balance, you should try and focus on how the card works with what YOU got. If every card in the entire game had the same value as the other card, it would be a very boring game. Frostbite works because you can hide behind your shields,
while it ticks off + gathering energy or dishing out the damage.

Btw now that you mention earth cards, I would like to admit I feel like the strongest element currently is Earth as it has everything. Sustain, shields, crowd control, damage but it lacks low costs cards in general. Still feel its the strongest element.

I'm starting to believe we're getting off-topic as it has turned more or less into a balance discussion, and an Archknight is probaly gonna jump into this room in less than 3 seconds and tell us not to go off-topic etc.
