@EragonZZZZ, maybe you don't have any dignity, but the rest of us do. Using Potions can be seen as an easy way out by some people.

Also, the way you're talking makes you sound foolish...

Anyway, my least favourite spell would have to be PowerWord Red Fog. Losing life isn't worth it...

Surely, you jest.

Potions are healing.
Potions are provided for you to heal yourself with.

Thusly, you can use them because they are available, not horribly bugged or imbalanced, and useful.

By your logic, ubers are the easy way out because they so far overpower any other armor in the game, and afterlifex has proven that they are indeed largely unnecessary.

EDIT: And yah, meteors used to bug the heck out of me when I had a poor build with spells.

if im not wrong, Meteors is the most damaging fire spell, but with its miserable 0% b2h, non-puremage builds will have to make do with Arrows of Virtue, MegaInferno, or Frost Elf Attack instead.

edit: it is but your opinion, EragonZZZZ. non-potion users like me prefer good healing spells, does it matter to you at all?

Manasplosion.. You use it.. you have a tiny little bit much Mana.. you get hurt
or
You use it.. you dont have enough mana.. it does nothing
or
You succesfully use it.. it does barely any damage.

Nope, it doesn't matter to me one bit.

I simply don't like being called out on a 'lack of dignity'. That's all.

You use healing spells, I prefer potions. It's just different play styles. One isn't more hardcore than the other, nor is one more foolish than the other. I retract my previous statement.

@Rastafarian - is that 14% good? somewhere in the CR&A it said get 175dex before changing AoV to Meteors *now im confused*

and FEA only has +5 except for the last hit

The best spell in the game has to be CFtFD, Golden DS version, at Lv100+ it hits 1000+
(oh yes, CFtFD is a spell, its in the Spells section of the pedia anyway)

 Anyone can fill their potions to 30 or 35 each thats easy to beat a monster by using a potion each turn.But to work with what you have and have no potions.Then sometimes situations get rough but it helps you to think more.ERAGONZZZ the way you speak actually amuses me because it sounds like you build your entire strategy upon potions.

Ick, no. I use them sparingly and I only carry about 5-6 (whatever the bag fills).

They ARE my primary healing (HP-wise).

I normally don't need them and have frequently died because I forgot about them.

But I use them over spells.

 well as a warrior i am not a fan of spells as is...but I would have to say ANY summoning spell I have no particular one I dislike. (just have never liked then..ever) Not saying I won't use then but...

Lv84 mage? oh. wait till your Lv100+, potions wont help much, you will have to use healing spells more.
i hate that the healing spells, like Heal Extreme Wounds, restore very little HP sometimes....

well another spell some might hate is the Scambler Beam, as it depends on luck. you might have to sue Scrambler Beam a few times in order to get the right element modifier.

AFterlifex warriors are an exception.I mean if i had a limited amount of mana i would use potions like no tommorow.

 ^how that got a pot answer I do not know but HP pots are my last resort, heal spell MP pot, MP pot, heal spell ect.

I'm with zacky on the healing spells. when I use my tertiary character, I'll often use great pumpkin patch and then follow it by pumkin patch. I'm amazed at how often the lesser spell heals more than the greater.

Funny, all the level 100 monsters I've faced this far seem to require no potions. In fact, I've had to rely on CONSERVING my MP to beat them, something the healing spells do not adequately do.

But I digress. Different playing styles.

In b4 pre-sweep.

Also, summoning spells need serious tweaking.

yep, it happened to me when i used Heal Deep Wounds, then Heal Extreme Wounds. Heal Deep Wounds healed more sometimes >.> both spells can suddenly heal very litle though.

 Try it once but dont say im abusing a bug use the new level 100 hxw at exactly 100endurance and you will find that it does the 4x heal atleast once every 6 heals thats basically how i very nearly defeated nightbane.

 I H8 the fact paladins use mana cause if i didnt use my mana on holy migh/ligh i would be using uber spells =(
I hope that with the sweep melee classes wont depend on mana cause seriously aq how can u expect a lvl 76 meleer to have high mana???

@Helvetia, Paladin is more of a Hybrid Class, as shown by the fact that it requires Knight and Mage to use.
