How can i easily thicken lines?

My friend sent me some drawings he inked and scanned. But some of his lines are too thin and im wondering if there is an easy way to thicken them other than going around the lines

You could use the Pathtool and trace a path over the lines. After you press the "Selection to Path" button, go to Edit > Stroke Selection and select the width.

Or you can click "Stroke Path" instead of selection to path.

that is "going over the lines"
if you want an easier way, go to transform, and increase the size to 100,5%, 101% tops.
and then, set it to multiply (not sure if its in gimp tho xD
and taddaaaaa :D
