Post is up... Due to his blindness, Froztious can't focus on too many things at a time... Which will surely hamper him a LOT in the future, and perhaps even now...
That is why he is not aware of all the battles around him... And that will surely cost him dearly...

I just wanted to point out one thing, Frozt. I, personally don't have a problem with it because it doesn't interfere with my own battle, but since the arrows have already fired, and Memphis has already posted Rattigan's response, it might not be a good idea to include yourself in the arrows' path AFTER the fact. Check with Memphis to see if he wishes to edit his post to include you in it. As long as he acknowledges that you're in between him and the arrows, it should be fine. I just feel that it's a little too cumbersome for the flow of the RP if you suddenly throw him into a combat round that has already been completed.

Eh... Seems it isn't clear from my post...

Froztious is BEHIND Rattigan, and that's how he is in the path of the arrows (they must go somewhere, even if they miss their designated target)...

I probably won't be posting today. Certain life issues have cropped up, and so I have no time for it.

I see. Either I misread your post, or it simply wasn't clear. That can work, since Memphis never did specify exactly how close to the spiked wall he actually was.

Nope. I see no reason why he couldn't be behind me.

My post is now up. I apologize for it taking so long, but life matters got in the way. My mood being what it is lately, posts are probably going to be much darker from now on.

Yep. Selah is a combat veteran. Let it be noted that she's fought elemental monsters and users of every element.

What happened, Frozt, is this: Selah formed herself into a wedge, and did nothing to resist the freezing chill of your attack... which turned the surface of the wedge into ice just as hard as yours. She did NOT, however, allow the freeze to extend past her surface, and yes, she CAN regulate her own temperature, something rather necessary for survival when on is made of water. Nevertheless, such a defense required a significant portion of her mass. She's been reduced to only a little more mass than she started with.

And yes, being frozen hurt. But she's ignoring that part of it.

The lance of water is, as noted, needle thick, and is extending rather swiftly. It is ALSO still connected to her palm, hence the term "unbroken." Selah tends not to use attacks that separate mass from herself.

Post is up...

Froztious is now quite fatigued, and will propablt not be able to use his "mirror" ability more for the remainder of the battle...
Although it might have saved him again...

EDIT: On a side note: To use his "mirroring" ability, Froztious have to absorb a magic attack, or see a series of movements...
Absorbing magical attacks is quite hard for him to do, which is why it fatigues him so much... "Mirroring" a physical attack will only let him copy the movements, while retaining his normal physique... So a punch would still feel like a punch from a skinny mage (i.e: Not very hard)...

@N3344: Unless he is defeated... Which he propably will be... :/

Ged: Finally posted. Had some things come up that I needed to take care of, but I finally posted. Oh, and I didnt bunny like we had planned.

Frozt: Im not sure, but I think that Im going to attack your character. I cant have TD die yet because I want my character to fight TDs REALLY REALLY badly(after my fight with Gedd, of course).

How in the world can Cale be behind Jon? It's not possible. Jon is moving slowly, not dragging himself along. This doesn't mean you can easily get behind him, in fact it'll be harder because he can react to your movements better. His injury is simply painful, it doesn't stop him doing anything. Also, I find it annoying that you ignored my probing strike, at the very least you would have had to take a step back or parry it. Finally, it's not really fair you can get all the earth from the spikes back in the time it takes Jon to get to you, some of them must have travelled some distance.

Of course if you can explain all this it's fine, but otherwise I think you need to edit your post.

Well, with the order of events that relatively happened, such as the wind and scream, Cale is in another location as walked. I thought I said something about Cale walking away from Jon when the tornado occured and then Cale had a fascination with TDs character. So at this point, Cale is probably parallel to Jons side. This gives him the advantage of running around.

Also, I meant to say something about Cale parrying the attack, but theres so much stuff going on in the arena, I forgot to mention that Cale meant to attack back.

Now for the earth, Cale has a psychic connection with it. Meaning he can control it and make it move as fast as he needs it to. Nothing extremely fast, but enough to reach him in time. Also, Cale didnt really shoot the spikes out THAT far. He shot them far enough that they would hit Jon and since noone decided to mention them in their posts, I guess they all remain relatively close to Cale.

You still can't make a strike against Jon's backside. Even if you are parallel with Jon by moving about (something you did not, in fact, mention doing), that doesn't mean he hasn't moved in that same amount of time.

As to the earthen projectile recalls, keep in mind that any projectile that is fired with enough force to be dangerous is going to travel some distance. The only way to get them to return to you in the amount of time you apparently want is to have them return with speed equal or greater than that which they were tossed, and even then, it will take equal time. They won't be crawling along the floor, they'll be FLYING.

Just, to explain my post- The illusion is only being seen by Memphis's character. To you other people, all that happened was that the giant disappeared, and arrows seemingly came out of nowhere and started moving toward Memphis's character.

To Memphis: The illusion, of course, being just light made, has no sound, smell, taste, or feel. Although you do hear fire (from your own fire trap), you do feel heat (from your own fire trap, again), and you also smell said fire. But yeah- If you close your eyes, all you see is darkness. However, even if you turn around, or look around, all you'll really be seeing is this illusion.

Come on, N3344, that's at least the second time, or so, that you've said "I thought I said something about that..." when talking about getting behind Jon. Go back and read through all of your previous posts if you're having difficulty remembering what you have or have not done. To blindside an opponent requires the agreement of both parties, otherwise the person you are fighting automatically gets the chance to figure out a way for their character to catch you in the act.

Also, Frozt, I don't know whether he noticed yet or not, but it's not a good idea to say that you automatically freeze TD's attack, since it is still technically a part of his character's body. You can say something similar to what you had in your last post, however, where you cause the air around it to freeze. Again, I don't know whether or not you spoke to TD prior to posting, and if you did it's a good idea to post in the OOC that you were given permission to manipulate another character like that. If you did not, however, always try to get in touch with the opponent you wish to engage so you can find out A) if it's possible to do something, and B) whether you are permitted to bunny a character to create the desired reaction.

RATIONAL, for how long does this illusion last? Until Rattigan realises it's an illusion, or until Guts dismisses it?

Oh, and would Rattigan be able to see the arrows in this illusion?

Until Guts dismisses it. If you realize it's an illusion... It's still there. You'll still see everything. It's not mind based- It's light based. You are, literally, seeing those things. They are there- At least in terms of light.

No. He'd be able to see just the fiery stuff, and nothing else. It's complicated to explain, but Guts manipulates the light just before it hits your optic nerve- meaning that you see nothing but what he wants you to see. It's hard to do, harder than the normal illusions.

Wait a moment... if it's so much harder to do, how is Guts able to maintain focus on THAT illusion, and still maintain his light manipulation to render himself invisible at the same time? If it's so much more difficult to create this illusion around Rattigan, wouldn't his focus or control of other spells or illusions start to weaken?

A few things about the post.

I have .Discipline's permission to do the slight bunnying towards the end of the post. And Karddicj really did disappear; he phased back into his homeworld sort of like the reverse of what he did to the terrain. From the pull, the gnome would be lying on his back initially, though what else happens is up to .Discipline. And both the characters would be out of sight to most all contestants except Gill (that's for certain) and Deltora's warrior (maybe depending on his fall).

Finally, the song is my horrible attempt at trying to make words fit into "Don't Stop me Now" starting with the verse, "shooting star...".

TDK- You'll notice that the giant disappeared, right before I used the illusion. It is a little harder to do, but not ridiculously hard.

...Mmkay, it may be just me but RATIONAL's character seems a bit overpowered. He's thrown homing knives that are too bright to watch at every other contestant, got 360 degree vision, teleported, teleported his weapons, summoned an illusionary creature and REAL arrows without even firing a bow, put another player in a position where an attack would apparantly be 'impossible to dodge', created an incredibly complex illusion in another character's eyeball and has superhuman speed whilst being huge and apparantly able to 'bear down on a man in mere moments and kill him with nothing but his bare hands and the power of the Lord of Light'.

Wait. What?

He doesn't have superhuman speed, he didn't teleport, he didn't teleport his weapons, he isn't huge, and no, "he can't bear down on a man in mere moments and kill him with nothing but his bare hands and the power of the Lord of Light." (All part of the whole giant *illusion* thing) He does, though, have 360 vision, and is very good with illusions (and, actually, most of the illusion thing specific to Lord Memphis is for flair. If you really think the 'complexity' is overpowered, I could just say that I merely made everything seem like a bright yellow light, or that I stopped the light from entering his eye, meaning he doesn't see anything- a lot simpler). And did plant a trap before hand, the thing that fired the arrows- The trap being something that my character *thought* was "impossible to dodge".

So... Yeah...
