I do not post on the forums here as AE Games have always been a fun few hour session at a time for me. I've been happily playing since 2003 and have tried to support the AE Games themselves in anyway I can. From recruiting friends for Guardianship (and later X-Guardianship), to sending out links to every AE game as they were made to gamer sites. And this is the first time I've been angered by AE's choices. And so far, the only time I feel betrayed by an independent. This is supposed to be (or at least advertised to be) an expansion to AQ right? It is advertised as such... and I have to pay to be a guardian yet again? I am beyond disappointed. This seriously should not have been called an expansion to the original AdventureQuest then. I wouldn't be in the least upset with Artix Ent. IF they called it a sequel in more places then they've called it an expansion. Because a sequel defines itself as a separate game, not an expansion upon AdventureQuest. With AQW being so young and storyline chapters that feel like they're stalling for time, how can AE hold up with yet another game? Especially one that reviewers and users in this forum are already referring to lightly as an AQ clone? This appears to be a poor choice and false advertising to me. I've loyally bought membership with every game in the catalog. Even before there was content worth a membership (MechQuest for example). I firmly believe in supporting what you enjoy, so let's not debate about "everyone wants something for free".
