 Here's the approximate number of WarpForce characters for each character race so far:

Elf = 36,000
Human = 73,000
Drakel = 77,000


Drakel is the most popular!

 Seeing as this is the only game in existence that you can actually be a Drakel in, I'm not surprised.

Yeah, I figured Drakels would be the most popular with humans not far behind and Elves left in the dust. In fact there is a higher % of elves than I thought there would be. Here are the %'s:

Elf = 19.4%
Human = 39.2%
Drakel = 41.4%

In any game there is a high percentage of players who play human if it's available and since Drakel are unique to WF it stands to reason that they would also be popular. Elves are playable in virtually every multi-race RPG and in here they're basically humans with pointy ears so it makes sense that they're not as popular.

My main is a elf, and I was originally planning to have one of each species, but humans and elves look similar, so I just made a secondary Drakel and left out the human.

My main is human because he is Scythe of Midgard (typo when creating) and my secondary is a Drakel gunner. I'm not really interested in playing a technician so he'll probably remain frozen in his beta form.

elves are cool but they are far more common to play in other games and drakel being unique to this game it no wonder they in leader why humans are 2nd i have no clue

Humans are probably second because some people like to pretend they are the character in the game, by giving the character a similar look to themselves, and of course chances are the players are more likely Human than Drakel or Elf. Also, maybe loads of people who like to be the underdog thought humans would be the underdog and picked them, which is slightly ironic if it is the case.

Drakels have the best design imo. Humans and elves look too similar...

My char is a male elf.
I have also a secondary female drakel to see some things from a perspective of a non-upgraded char and to see the difference between boys and girls in WF.

And I thing that races-based war in WF would be against all the rules of the WF fleet. Even to think about one is an outrage. It's a galactic racism!

 Beyond Spock value elves don't seem to fit in very well. The whole lack of magic and the fact that normal weapons aren't very effective against Space Monsters/Robots puts elves in a rather bizzare spot. In essence people don't put elves and futuristic technology together. Elves have pointy ears drakels have tails.


*Random Note: Is there any winged drakel race? If we could have draconian wings on the drakels they would look even better!

*Also an Android Race would be a really good idea.

@Hagen: That's why at last minute before we throw the losers away and take over the WarpForce, killing anyone in the fleet who's part of the losing species we are stopped by Proteans who remind us of why we were put together, the Devourer claps at us, then we blame some random engineer and say he started it and watch as he is thrown overboard...

@OmniGuardian- Yep that's pretty much my reasoning for the lower pop. of elves too. Heck I created my elf lady with the intent of detesting all technology, so far that plan hasn't worked out too well :p But hopefully we'll get some tribal clothing soon or something to that nature.

To be honest, i really dont like the design of elves here at all.. they all just look like humans with huge ears to me. Like elves, humans are everywhere in any game, so really, im also not too surprised at the fact that drakels are more popular.
