@CODtim: Actually, those are cumulative costs. :P

Which means it's the total cost if you want to train a stat to 200. So: 200 points = 75K. For the last five points in a stat, it's 15K. Still a lot, but managable. :)

Sorry about the misunderstanding, I was wrong. Those are the actual costs.

oh sorry Thanks i got worried then

EDIT: Not all of its cumulative? when training from 80 to 85, it costs 444, it says 444 on the table, so thats not the cumulative cost?

What would stats like:
L 30 | 50 STR/DEX/INT | | |
L 40 | 50 STR, 75 CHA/INT | | |
L 50 | 70 STR, 90 CHA/INT | | |
L 60 | 100 STR/CHA/INT | | |
L 63 | 100 STR/CHA/INT, 15 END | | |

Work as? I'm trying to create a build that efficiently uses Pets, Melee weapons, and Skills & Tech, i.e. a BeastHybrid.

Personally, I don't like the BeastHybrid build, but of course, that's my opinion. The BeastHybrid build allows one to use items of all sorts -- Pets, Techs, Melee weapons, etc.-- but at the cost of being weaker at everything you use. Anyhoo, the BeastHybrid build focuses on STR, for the weapons, DEX, for defensive purposes and BtH, INT for Techs and MP, CHA for the use of pets and finally a little bit of END for survival purposes.

Really, the build is quite hard to train, as you are focusing on four stats instead of three. I would train your character as a Hybrid first, then gradually train CHA to balance out with your first three stats.

Lvl 30- 40 STR | 35 DEX | 35 INT | 10 END | 0 CHA | 0 LUK
Lvl 40- 50 STR | 50 DEX | 50 INT | 20 END | 0 CHA | 0 LUK
Lvl 50- 60 STR | 60 DEX | 60 INT | 20 END | 20 CHA | 0 LUK
Lvl 60- 70 STR | 70 DEX | 65 INT | 25 END | 40 CHA | 0 LUK
Lvl 63- 70 STR | 70 DEX | 70 INT | 25 END | 50 CHA | 0 LUK

From there, the CHA stat would gradually be trained until it is about equal with STR/DEX/INT. Keep in mind that this is how I would train it-- how you would train it would be completely different. You should train it accordingly with your style of play. For example, if you like clicking the Attack button more than anything, then focus on STR and DEX rather than the INT.

What about if you don't want any defences? The Pure Hyrbid build actually has no DEX whatsoever.

Then you would eliminate the DEX. I myself don't think that it's too wise to do that; not only will you be losing out defenses, you'll be losing a heck lot of Bonus to Hit as well, meaning that your spells and weapons will miss more, resulting a drop in your damage output.

My final stats will look like this at lvl 120

200 dex
200 luk
150 charisma
50 endurance

Think 150 charisma is good? What would 150 charisma look like in AdventureQuest(Battleon)? Since both games use the same engine, Im thinking if 150 is the minimum for top-end pets on that game, it would be good enough on WarpForce.

MonsterMike9000: I'd recommend you 200 DEX/CHA, 50 ED, 150 LUK.

Char page Recently I changed builds into the one in my character page provided, It looks good, but I feel that I could deal much more damage from a few stat arrangements, I've tried having CHA but that didn't help. Would sacrificing some DEX into LUK be beneficial?

I'm assuming leaving my END at 30 is fine for now. Most of the experienced players seem to be running Annihilators instead of Pures, which I never expected. I guess I'll meet them somewhere in the middle.

LUK isn't useful stat for a Striker unless you have maxed your STR/DEX, and a bit END.

Options: 200 STR/DEX, 50 END, ... LUK || 200 STR, 150 DEX, 50 END, ... LUK || 200 STR, 100 DEX, 50 END, ... LUK ||

Digital X, you can dump some DEX into LUK ((if you're going to do it) by some, I mean all, because-- for example-- 50 DEX put into LUK won't work out; your Lucky Strikes won't be dealing significant damage). You'd lose BtH, but you *should* still have enough, coming from your STR and LUK. LUK is a good variation of DEX if you're wanting to hit more powerful rather than accurate.

Necrophades, yeah, that's fine. If you've got some token items, I'd go for even less than 30 END, because with Token items, they'll help you blow past the monsters fairly easily.

Spent all my tokens on bag space. I don't buy tokens. I'm actually changing my build right now. I'm going for Annihilator Hybrid to see how it handles.

AVA Im a pure Gunner, Im just wondering where to put that extra 200 points into. 200 dex/luck is a must. would it be a better idea to bo 200 dex/luck/end instead of 150 cha?

200 END is actually too much. 100 END is enough for a Tank Gunner 200 DEX/LUK, 100 END, 100 ...
200 DEX/END/LUK is not bad, you will have an extreme dodging, BTH and HP. Go ahead. It'd be fine! :)

MonsterMike9000, here's a little explanation of a Gunner. ;-)

Off the top of my head, I can't really think of a Pure Gunner build. Unlike AQ, where a Pure Gunner would train DEX, LUK and STR, WF Gunners only focus on DEX and LUK. That leaves, as you've said, another stat to focus on. There is no other stat that will improve your Gun damage; if you've maxed out DEX and LUK, then your Guns will deal the most damage possible.

Anyhoo, back to the discussion of Pure Gunners. They can't train STR for sure, because that'll make them Strikers, which is an entirely different build, with different weapons to use. Training END would be training a Tank Gunner, with a massive chunk of HP. INT is out of the question-- that'd make the character a Technician (or whatever other name variation it has) Gunner. Finally, CHA can't simply be part of a Pure Gunner build, as that's Beast Gunners.

You see? There really is no "Pure Gunner" build (in low levels, there are, but once you've finished training your DEX and LUK...) This is what's so great about Gunners. Using AQ as a comparison again, if you want to have maximized damage as a Ranger (AQ equivalent of Gunner), you must be a Pure Ranger. In WF, that's not the case. You can have maximized damage, and another category to focus on-- it's like getting the best of both worlds :P.

So now, you've got 200 points being unused, eh? There's 3 variations of Gunners I can think of: Beast Gunners, Technician Gunners and Tank Gunners.

A Beast Gunner would focus on CHA as their third stat. It's a great choice; as the level cap is being raised higher and higher, pets will deal more and more damage, which is obviously a good thing.

Next, we have the Technician Gunners. Another great choice. Technicians would focus on INT as their third stat. With the vast amount of MP coming with training INT, you'll be able to use it on wicked techs, and healing techs.

Finally, we have the Tank Gunner. The Tank Gunners trains END as their third stat. The main strategy of a Tank Gunner is to sit into a defensive armor, and fire their guns while tanking out the monster. Occassionally, when you do run low on HP, you can use a Healing Spell, which will heal quite a bit because of the high END.

I guess that pretty much sums it up. If you've got more questions about the Gunner build, feel free to post. These are just some basic overviews of each build. I hope it has cleared up some confusion. Good luck training your build :)

I just want the gunner build that will passively dish out the most damage possible. To me that meant 200 points in charisma. But I noticed the gunner guide saying that 50 end points should be invested. So I guess now Im wondering, should I have 150 cha/50 end, or 200 cha or 200 end? Will that 50 end really screw me up in the end? I just dont want to end up having 150 cha and finding out the best pets require 185 cha or something like that.

Basically, should I go all in on cha or end? Or do the 150/50 split?

EDIT: Nevermind about having 200 END, Id be too much of a slugfest each fight. So now its between 200 CHA or 150CHA/50END. What do you guys think?

I'd recommend you 150 DEX, 50 END, 200 CHA/LUK or 100 DEX/END, 200 CHA/LUK. :)

Well, I'd have 150 CHA with 50 END. With 0 END at higher levels, it'll be extremely difficult to survive. If you don't think 150 CHA is enough, you can always use Misc items to boost your CHA stat.

Then it's settled, I'm totally going Tech Gunner. As soon as I get my WarpGuardian (As soon as I get my grimy paws on 20 bucks.), I'll be using that build. Until then, I need to get my character together.

Final Build:

200 Dexterity
200 Luck
150 Charisma
50 Endurance

Thanks for the help guys. Cant really find the best way to describe what Im thinking but it looks like i'll be some sort of squaddie Gunner, since the 150 charisma is ganna give damage boosts to my guests/pets.
Kinda makes sense I guess. A firing squad for a Gunner character.

The most high level BM pets require 185 - 200 CHA or higher.
In this case it's not a good idea to use Misc Items to boost your CHA since they have SP/MP cost every turn and mostly take one turn.
You need the SP and MP for the skills of some armors, and for some guests like Call Modified Medidroid, CYBEAR etc.
I'd recommend you 200 CHA instead of 200 DEX or 200 LUK
For a Beast Gunner, it'd be 150 DEX, 50 END, 200 CHA/LUK || 200 DEX/CHA, 50 END, 150 LUK ||

It's just my opinion. :p It's up to you.
