More like wheres the Museum update...I remember Cap saying it will probably come before the healthcare system got passed and now that President is nearing the end of his term!

Full resources here as well (for level 9 storage bins)... Just waiting for the 2 storage buildings now... ~156 hours or so to go... With only a level 7 GT, I am getting 155 resources per hour... Level 3 uses no resources right? 157 per hour would be max then...?? I'd need to get 800 more guard levels...

It will be quite a while before my resources are full again, changing to Deren meant changing many buildings and my estate was not full to begin with. Hope war holds off for a few weeks.

I'd be at full resources had I not spent some to restore my Museum to it's prime level. Fortunately with just 122 hours left on fully upgrading my Storage Buildings and the fact I'll be fully loaded long before then, I'll be fully ready to rumble before Thursday's release, assuming it's a war.

Now, once my Museum is attacked, I'll have to figure out if I can somehow get enough Guards to have total protection while lowering my Guard Tower's level for more efficency. I don't have quite have full coverage, even with my Guard Tower at level 11. >_>

Hmm...I assume I double post in this situation...


Well it been a while for this thread....

It has come up a few times with people doubting the effectiveness of 7 rep full vs 8 rep half armies with the MWP. So I was thinking it's about time we do another round of testing(I have been meaning to do it for some time).

That said I am going to run 100 of each 7 rep and 8 rep.

Lvl 140 character:

7 rep Full, 100 armies sent:
5,145,420 gold (avg: 51,454.2)
622 kills (avg: 6.22)


8 rep Half, 100 armies sent:
5,141,110 gold (51,411.1)
626 kills (avg: 6.26)

When I bought my MWP I sold my Guard Tower thinking I didn't need it. Now after reading through a few pages of this thread I see the significance.

I bought a few more low leveled guards hoping that would help but to no avail. Ugh, buying the Guard Tower back.

Yes even with a lvl 12 GT (200 guard lvls per upgrade lvl) & guards you will still get invaded. So without GT you are in for a big dent to your resources.

Crap. I don't feel like updating GT all the way to level 12 just to have it suck away more of my resources.

Do you happen to know what level it begins subtracting from my resources?




We really need the staff to explore our housing suggestions, pronto. Even some more guards would be good for now. As long as their a bit creative. I only see profit for them if they were to make small war parties or batallions as buyable guards for a few thousand tokens in exchange for some serious high level efficiency in guard power.

Or perhaps a barracks/ up-gradable battalion?

Well the resource per hour loss is more then off set by not being invaded.

As far as I know(don't quote me on it) staff have some flexibility with releasing guards, it's the big updates they have issues with(seeing as Capt. started housing).

Oh thanks Afterlife, I totally forgot that page existed. Yeah I'd like to see them make more guards. They know there are plenty of house owners and even plenty of house enthusiasts and they'll buy it.

I myself only see good in releasing things like:

Squad 9-10 men Commander: Sergeant
Platoon 16-44 Commander: Lieutenant
Company 62-190 Commander: Captain
Battalion 300-1,000 Commander: Lt. Colonel
Brigade 3,000-5,000 Commander: Colonel
Division- 10,000 to 15,000 Commander: Major General

The staff could have groups of many races, Human, Elf, Orc, Drakel, and many other new ones. If they really wanted to make some money they could make the commander of said group mandatory as well in order to command that group.

Or they could just have each commander of every available race there for buying instead of having all of the groups. It would be easier to price. With each commander comes a power level proportionate to the number of troops he commands.

It could either be a guard or an estate item.

One could hire a Sergeant by giving him a "Sergeant's Quarters" and "promote" him all the way to Major General by upgrading him.

It may seem pointless to post these suggestions but I keep hoping some staff member will come along and decide to do something to liven up the current stagnancy at the moment. (Not that I don't appreciate Deren houses. That is not the case. This is just much more universal.)



Hell, you could even make a quest (Rednosed ReignDragon anyone?) out of it instead of fighting the Sergeant to get him to be your estate item guard.

What do you all think of a choice to either hire a professional with a military record that would upgrade wuicker but cost more vs. going to Krovesport or other rough towns created to be near each estate setting in order to find a good fighter with potential and mold him or her into a leader. Perhaps we could search the towns listening to war stories of all these would-be heroes until we find one worth our time. This would really add some major depth to the game and wouldn't be infringing on Rhubarb's territory I don't think. If I'm wrong just tell me.

What if this guard or estate item worked as a damage boost or exponent to the equation of guard tower and MWP efficiency? Added man power, leadership and increasingly complex tactics as they were improved over upgrades could boost a little more each level.

And a little one to make things more interesting could be formations. Eifficient, Powerful. I realize that is essentially what half and full armies are but you could make many others. Crippling, Flanking tactics. Wheel, Arrow and Yoke formations. The list goes on. Can anyone else see this increasing demand for Estates?

"Oh yeah I liked AQ before but have you seen their new housing and warring system? Its the only game in AE where you can do anything like that!" Seriously though. Am I the only one who would enjoy this?

Well if I am correct about what I said above about guards, it's feasible. If a pack was released as a guard and it had its lvl artificially enhanced.
edit: would be interesting as promo item.

Anything larger then that and I think we have enough things in planing already (personal opinion, I have no insight)

Do you mean enough suggestions already Afterlife? I feel that way about suggestions too but somtimes I get caught up and put some in here anyway in hopes a staff member will say something either way

Sorta added more. I'm sure most folks wouldn't object to more kills in their guards and mwp. Would it be overpowered? I'm talking small boosts over time here.

Sorry for not being clear, ...not sure how to say this "tactfully".... I mean there are already things that need to be worked on which I would hope would take priority. Plans do change thou.

edit: just as a note: I should have enough resources to finish my MWP army kills compression by about 5 or 6 PM so 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours. Thou "odd" trade amounts may push that back an hour more.

Oh for sure. I'm not saying its worth bogging down a very important process like the sweep. I've just always wanted to hear some feedback on some of the ideas that come up here. Then again, I don't see this as asking for a major overhaul.

I am specifically referring to the Museum and Animal Barn. I won't say any more about the museum but the animal barn does "exist" it just has never been released to the public and may not have gotten past the art stage. There are also the "sky" and "underground" updates for extra plots.

The first post should have all available info.

edit: also the Library/Magic Trainer/Mage Tower update.

Ah I didn't see this Afterlife, thank you for replying. I have seen the Animal Barn but am doubtful myself as to thinking it will be brought to the players.

I suppose I'll have to settle for hoping for more house guards and hoping that some staff member will drop by and throw in his or her 2 cents on that matter.

Well I would be happy to pay for any new updates to the housing system if the AQ staff did want to make them Promo Items.
Just as long as they are available via the internet to all the players of AQ and not just the players in the USA who can afford the shipping costs and/or buy things from US shops like Target/Walmart etc.
Or the house items could be Rare Limited time Token items or Seasonally available once every year??? So that everyone can eventually buy them.
