Discussion can continue here! Thanks! :p

Quest Location:
LSS Alteon > Nefadon Invasion!
Hangar Deck > Nefadon Invasion!
WG Tower > Elevator to Lkeas > Nefadons

-- A disgraced Virin scientist has completed his life's work:
Creating a huge army of perfect host bodies for his race to use in battle!
It's up to you and the rest of the WarpForce to stop the Nefadon Army before they overtake
the peaceful worlds of the galaxy! (Get to this via the Event link or the Hangar Deck)

If you do not want it to be as hard, there's actually a simple way to make it easier.

Every kill you make counts towards the War meter. You can face one monster, then Flee, heal, and go back to fight another. Yes, it means you have to take extra time and have the SP available to Flee - but that's the cost of choosing to not face them as they are supposed to be fought.

Sometimes, it won't be possible to take on two in a row (at least, not without optimizing your equipment and using very good strategy). If you happen to get extraordinarily unlucky and get two monsters in a row that are at the top of your encounter range, it may well be difficult or impossible to beat them both - this is a time when it is completely appropriate to flee.

My main, who has the best equipment available and uses good strategy (if you consider spamming attack and healing when necessary strategy), is still having trouble with them.
So I've decided to resort to the hit and run strategy Aelthai provided us with. My lower leveled characters are having less trouble now, and I'm killing waves (at least enemies)faster now.

I'm finding the war a whole lot easier than before, I dropped some END and LUK(I think) and put it in STR and DEX, now I can kill a lot quicker and have better defense! Although the downside is facing the level 55 Nefadons, but it's a little challenging so I don't mind too much.

As we get more equipment out there, I expect that monsters will "get easier" - not because the monster is innately easier, but because you have better tools to work with. There are some levels and some monsters where the tools are there - and others where they aren't yet.

I'm trying to make each new item fill as many holes as I can - they're filling up fairly quickly, but we have a lot of ground to cover!

These Nefadons are really overleveled I'm only Level 28 and I'm encountering Level 45 Nefadons. That's probably why this war is going so slow.

Completely understand Aelthai, I have enough equipment around my level anyway to deal with them, so no worries there. Besides if I happen to struggle on a particular enemy, I'll just try another strategy rather than the same one over and over again, which I seem to do quite a lot.

The Question

Silver1: Heck Ya! I'm at 259 HP, facing a Nefadon 65 with 650. As much as I'm a pure build, accuracy is still bad given it's 35 defenses and 150 DEX against my 130 STR and 70 DEX! It's almost impossible to hit. Using Warp Star Ninja armour btw and Double Swinging.
Nonetheless, Friday's Rogue armour should provide us with better offense/defense.

Level 75 Nefadon should never have been put into this war except as a challenge fight during the Boss sequence.
It killed the War for me.

Now I just can't be bothered to fight in the War.

SIGMUND: You just can Flee if the level 75 one is too hard for you, and try again to fight the other levels. :p

Also, a quote from Aelthai:

Every kill you make counts towards the War meter. You can face one monster, then Flee, heal, and go back to fight another.

It looks like the rate picked up a bit today, though that may just be because its a weekend

I have yet again depleted all 50 potions. I'm back to farming the triple-potion quest until I max out, and then I'll be back to fight the war.

Usually with a well thought out war release.
There would be a mini shop with equipment gold/z token that would help you out a bit if the enemies are difficult.
AQ has them usually as a temp item you can use but heck why not pay for them.
Now I know the staff would like to present a challenge to the players and winning the war is totally up to us.
Sometimes one just needs a better incentive.

*note 45% of the time you get an enemy way below your level making it easier to stay alive

Like Darkling said, an incentive is normally needed to help win a war. For example, if I am not mistaken, a lot of AQ wars do have a temp item that helps by doing extra damage, or a cutscene at 50% or something.

I thought the incentive was that if we win this war we get reward items for both WF and AQ characters. That's incentive enough for me to fight. Like Aelthai said, flee if you have to.

I like to call it a "tactical retreat."

Just making a build change that should help me plough through these enemies with ease. Plus my old build was far too scattered about. Then I'll help again, change is nearly done.

Have been fighting quite a few Nefadons now, getting two level 75s in a row is basically down to luck, I can take them sometimes, sometime I can't. Anyway keep up the good work, we have been making splendid progress these few days.

My biggest incentive would be having the kill amounts in my Char page... Which WF doesn't have. Besides, I have to level up to find out how the story continues xD

WF does have that, just not for this war. If kill counts were enabled, it would mean that AQ characters would be able to send their armies and guards to the war, which the staff don't want. It's an unfortunate tradeoff, I know, but I think the right choice was made.

Wait...You're telling us that WF is not only an expansion of AQ, but also shares the same servers? Why am I even surprised?

I'm hoping that next month comes with an armor that has a Warrior spell and maybe a different fighting style. I'm getting pretty bored with all the carbon-copy armors. i understand that all the armors generally have the same shape and move the same because of continuity issues, but our characters don't have to always use the same fighting styles.

Oh well. I got my lvl 42, so now I'll farm this war till lvl 45... Beat lvl 55 and lvl 45 in a raw, full heal, then beat lvl 35 and 25 in a row... Next wave had lvl 45 and 35 ice nefadons... The first Nefadon had me use my healing spell AND 2 potions. 0.o

A beautiful Rose,
always and forever

I love being level 52. I am slaughtering all the level 55, 45, 35 and 25 Nefadon's, and can kill any level 65 no matter when it turns up. It's nice having equipment which matches your level. I think the Frigid Ornament Launcher is now my favourite weapon.

They should have/still could have an war kills tally entry on the character page like for the AQ wars., they did for Shearhide, why not this??? Also a token you pick up for each win that would unlock rewards at different amounts of kills would be nice.

Love those L75s, have to burn up all my mana zapping them but MUCH better return of my time to level up compared to those weaker ones, L25-L55, etc.
