The difficulty of getting to the EpicDuel forums seems to have increased over time, but I think that can be corrected with ease.

I think it would be handy if http://forums.epicduel.com/, instead of saying "site off-line" and providing a link to the old EpicDuel forums (which appear to be obsolete now as well), simply used an HTTP redirect to direct users to the current EpicDuel forums on battleon.com. It would also be convenient if there were a link to the EpicDuel forums in the footer of the game page (http://epicduel.battleon.com/).

Inconceivable!

I think that http://forums.epicduel.com could use a redirect to http://forums.epicduel.com/phpBB3/index.php (until the merge anyways).

The footer of the game seems to have a strange choice of links. It has a "Create a new account link" that is not needed as there is a "Register New Account" button in-game every time you try to log on. That could be replaced with a forums link.

Btw, it would be a better idea to post this over at the EpicDuel forums (or PM it to Titan there as well, he's usually very responsive when it comes to website suggestions).

I suggested that redirect a while ago, but Titan just added a link to the body of the "site offline" message. Unfortunately, "site offline" is far more prominent than the link, and most people probably stop reading there. Changing "site offline" to something like "site has moved" would be slightly better, but I don't understand why they won't do an HTTP redirect (or a URL rewrite if they want to be slightly fancy).

I even provided a link to information on how to do HTTP redirects with Apache (they are running Apache--I checked), but got no response. I was hoping that the move to battleon forums would provide another opportunity to propose the fix.

Of course, since http://forums.battleon.com/ doesn't get you to the battleon forums, I guess I shouldn't be overly optimistic. It's almost as if Artix Entertainment is trying to hide the forums. :)

Here's the original thread on the EpicDuel forums, for what it's worth:

Making an HTTP redirect is as simple as getting an apple off of a tree and turning it into a pie. I agree, it wouldn't be too hard to do and tbh, it wouldn't take that much time at all. But maybe Titan is more worried about the bigger things right now, and your simple request to make a redirect from http://forums.epicduel.com/ doesn't seem that important. :P
