The Good: Fun, addictive little time waster. Excellent animations and graphics. Cute (if clichéd) story (But really, that's what it needs.) Nice bits of family friendly humour. The Bad: Weapon selection for non-payers. Beginner shield only for non-payers. No mercenaries for non-payers. Way too limited spell selection. Difficulty increases to frustrating levels to play for the casual player. (Which I'd like to point that this is what this should be aimed at. The 'hardcore' should be in AQWorlds, or Dragonfable.) Issue: For a game that's apparently designed for family play, you're forcing players to PAY for their fun, which is the wrong way to do it. Now most of us are used to your other games, but this will NOT fly to the vast majority of websurfers and gamers. Hell, this is barely flying with me, and I've been here since you guys were only Adventure Quest, and Archknight was not even a standalone beta. Recommendation: Expand the list of 'Squire' level weapons, add another two or three shields, allow the ability to field one or two mercs, give a couple more spells. Increase potency of Knight level gear to compensate. Explanation:What you want to do is to hook your players with some good stuff, but make them really want the good stuff, without making them FEEL like they have to buy the good stuff to be able to play the game. No one wants to feel 'forced' into something. Make them think they're getting the better of the deal. Also the game should be finished by non-payers, but at a slower pace. You buy the Knight level stuff to do it faster, and easier. However, I fully expect to be flamed, or completely ignored here. Either way, thank you for your time.
