Discussions about the new daily Faction wars, and the new faction "levels/titles" here.

Here is a brief list of the current titles:
  • 1 Recruits
  • 2 Initiates
  • 3 Militia
  • 4 Squad
  • 5 Enforcers
  • 6 Syndicate
  • 7 Coalition
  • 8 Veterans
  • 9 Guardians
  • 10 Harbringers <-- It should be Harbingers instead. ~AVA
  • 11 Champions

    Recruits: 0 - 249
    Initiates: 250 - 499
    Militia: 500 - 999
    Squad: 1,000 - 2,499
    Enforcers: 2,500 - 4,999
    Syndicate: 5,000 - 9,999
    Coalition: 10,000 - 24,999
    Veterans: 25,000 - 49,999
    Guardians: 50,000 - 99,999
    Harbringers: 100,000 - 249,999
    Champions: 250,000 - ?

    Description of the new feature by Nightwraith:

All factions participating in the war for the winning alignment will receive a victory for the day. Victories will be associated with new Faction ranks, allowing active Factions to "level up".

    		The first day was intense as Exile and legion already had a big number of wins after the server reset.

    Everyone was kind of confused by the sudden meter on the top middle screen xD

    		 I really like this progression for Faction! It's something more permanent and longterm that you can achieve and really shows how dedicated your faction is.

    It's definitely a step in the right direction! I'd love to see the faction war become a more central part of the game. After all, the storyline is heavily based upon the Legion vs. Exile conflict.

    		 This feature looks cool, but needs improvement. If it stays this way, exile will most likely win everyday and never get taxed influence, while legion will get taxed. (Not that I'm not enjoying it, I love EP getting alignment victories xD)

    @Acient J Exile rules! Good will always dominate over evil!

    (Btw, I see 9 Guardians 50, Is the underlined part right?)

    I wonder if there is more titles beyond champion, only a very active and dedicated faction would be able to reach it I guess.

    Agreed, great addition but still needs some improvement. Like perhaps instead of removing the tax on the winning side simply increase the tax on the losing side.

    Here's to Legion beating Exile soon!

    		 The top 8 factions on each side get their influence taxed at the end of the night based on their position. This page has a bit more information on it.

    @Illuminator: I'm kind of against the idea of only taxing the losers as it will only serve to put the losers even more far behind. There is a faction imbalance so this would only make it worse by continuously punishing the loser each day. The tax is made so the same top faction don't stay on top forever, same reason as the flag token tax. It would make it to easy for a top faction to remain #1 without it.

    		As far as Faction goes taxing the losers is not the way to go, when we had the war domination war only the winners always were the ones taxed right?

    Hmm but that was withing Exile and Legion (Just contradicted myself :3) now it's totally different, so Illuminator could be in the right direction, they could tax the winning side and just tax more to the losing side.

    I'd say it won't go over the edge, the staff hasn't suggested otherwise.

    		notice how on the battle bar the exiles r always winning but if u go to a character that shows the overall war legion is winning/

    		@Earthbreather: That is like the total influence that is running in the whole game, exile is winning in wins and Legion is winning in overall influence.

    		I still think there should be some way of giving the losing Alignment a boost, so that the winning side won't keep their rule for about 3 months or so, since they benefit from the daily Alignment win, but Legion doesn't benefit from the fact that it's winning in overall Influence.

    I agree on taxing the winning side, but by how much? That's open to speculation, I guess. Maybe for each day of a winning streak, the number of wins reduces by X% (0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, ...) Or anything else. =P

    		 To me it needs a bit of tweaking, at the rate its going, the Exile side will always be the winner, and more
    will join it just because it is always winning, skewing the faction sides a lot more.

    I really think the winner needs to be forced try even harder next go to win, like the loser will get a small boost or something,
    otherwise i see Exile will always be the clear winners and no one will think to join Legion side.

    		@Ashari: I agree with you entirely. As it is currently the winning side is not taxed at all, (ie. if exile wins the top 8 factions that are exile are taxed 0%) however I think that instead of this the winning side is taxed normally (how it was before) and the losing side is simply taxed a bit more (say 5% or 10%). With the way it is now Black Knights of Chaos will basically be pulling in free World Dominations as there is no one to challenge them and now faction can even get close to them.

    I really hope they change it for the better in the next update.

    		 As this is just the beginning, I know that there will be many faults with the new daily faction wars. I for one defiantly can't wait to see what else the faction system has to offer. A Leaderboard for the faction's total wins would be a great idea too.
