I feel a need to clarify something. 'Noob' is a very different word from 'Newbie'. They have completely different definitions.

Noob (n): a mean or rude person seeking to eliminate the fun in a game through spamming it with low levels; people who know little and have no will to learn any more. They expect people to do the work for them and then expect to get praised about it, and make up a unique species of their own

She was being a noob by creating multiple accounts just to annoy people.

(adj.) Rudeness or meanness by seeking to eliminate the fun in a game through spamming it with low levels; also: arrogance about one's levels;
The noob (insert name here) was having a great time destroying fun and pretending to be cool.

Newbie (n): A new player, still finding their way in the game.

I felt like a newbie when high-level players looked down on me.

Contrary to the belief of many, a noob/n00b and a newbie/newb are not the same thing. Newbs are those who are new to some task* and are very beginner at it, possibly a little overconfident about it, but they are willing to learn and fix their errors to move out of that stage. n00bs, on the other hand, know little and have no will to learn any more. They expect people to do the work for them and then expect to get praised about it, and make up a unique species of their own

Thats how I see it

I agree with what you're saying, but a noob could be my earlier definition too. I think I'll add your definition to my original post. Thanks :D

Every one has to go through a stage of being noob...
not everyone starts a game and then own other people it takes time and they cant do a lot about it..
But being a noob only allows you to learn and experience more and soon enough move out of the stage ^_^
But what really annoys me is when people starts to move out of the "noob" stage they abuse it and thinking there unstoppable :S

Imo the word 'noob' is for people that are 35 and haven't made high school yet,the people that use that word are the true failures and the word noob is the creation of a failure and was thereby given birth to BY A FAILURE.The last time i used that word on someone i was 14,the word is just so slimy,it's very low imo.I don't call anyone that.Maybe moron or idiot, but that's as far as i permit myself.

^ Everyone has to go through the stage of being a ***newb***

When I started this game I never asked for a free win.

I just laughed and showed my respect and awe for the level 30s I ran into.

I always kept a kind attitude and had fun.

I would like to list some other signs of being a "noob" to distinguish it further from just a new player.
Spamming the same request even if you already said no.
Telling you to press f5.
Swearing or calling it luck when you win.
Insulting other players and their builds.
Claiming to have a great deal more skill then they do.

So true..
every one starts as a noob, but what separates the better players than the others is determination and actually wanting to improve as fast as they can... but there's always one players that thinks its all easy and when players starts spamming f5 and quitting before the game starts and that wont get them any where... just adds more loss and more failure...
|\(^_^)/| but never forget to have fun xD <3

The way I see it, a noob is an immature person, whether newbie or not, and a newbie is someone new.

    Noob

A noob or n00b is someone that lacks intellegance or common sense, most people think that noob is a word used only in the online gaming world, but in reality it is becoming an ever popular word with teenage society.

I take noob as "Newbie" otherwise, I think it's a overused word, even in Roblox, kids use the word "noob" but Roblox has nothing to do with Epicduel, so yes, lots of kids use the word "noob".

The word "noob" should only be used when referring to characters that are lvs 1-10. Above that I'd say they're maturing quite rapidly.

Luckily, I had no issues of "noobhood".

I had entered EpicDuel right after the merger. Everyone was so very kind back then and respectable. I had no issues with other players, and even made friends along my journey to level 30. I was actually the first out of my two compadres to hit level 30. It was a wonderful achievement, and I couldn't help but thank my level 26 trinity staff for the help.

The word "noob" has its origin in the word "newbie". Its much younger tho.
In the past "newbie" was also used to flame other players pretty fast because
beginners never did liked to get called a newbie even that they was totally
unexperienced. So thats what made them "n00bs" because they refused to
learn and to listen to more experienced and elder players.
"Newbie" is the abbreviation of "new beginner" and "new boy".

So true same, happened with AQW while in beta stages everyone could be classified as a noob so you would not get the word alot (because everyone was one xD) , I remember one week into ED's merge I was leveling up at Shaniquas pace, he was level 28 and I was level 27 and we faced each other alot along the way so it was quite fun.
