Elemental Gulf and Vacuum have a typo in their description:
3 hits of energy , 3 hits of light , and if all 6 hits connect it does an additional energy hit to your eemy's MP!

@xrai: heh, forgot to change my armors when I was testing.

But I'm still getting 5 hits to the enemy and 1 hit to you.

1 cast:
against monster - 8, 19,17,10, 1
against you - 1

Unless that last hit for the monster is just a repeat of the hit against you. So the damage against you is just appearing on both sides (for monster and you). I'm noticing the damage is the same though the element switches respectively.
Though if so, this is misleading.

Edit: Xrai is correct. it's 4 hits against monster and 1 against you.
However, the last hit of the monster is just your damage showing on on both sides. Very misleading. Even changes elements respective to the player/monster.

^ Im getting the same thing. The self damage is very low, though.

V- you are right, it's 4 hits. The 5th hit shows up on next to the monster, but in reality it deals no damage to the monster. -.-

Easy way to tell whether it's 4 or 5 hits; watch the hp bar of the enemy rather than the damage dealt per hit, and see if the hp bar drops 4 or 5 times.

Sometimes, when damage is dealt too fast, the same number shows up for both character and enemy, despite only one being hit. Such an example would be the MC effect of the Nemesis Armour, Backlash.

From what I can see the backlash effect looks like a glitch. The self damage is pretty low, but I want to test something with it and the cutting edge guard. I think it's worth a look to see if the shield will activate it's special effect on the spell missing.

Edit: Okay, I tested and nope, the backlash effect from the shield has no effect.

Does the spell basically do 4/5 damage to the enemy then in total, and then 1/5*0.09 damage to the player?

Or does it do 100% damage to the enemy and then 0.09* damage to the player?
