The Rules of the AdventureQuest Suggestions Forum
All ideas submitted have a possibility to be used as game material and thus become property of Artix Entertainment.
All Universal Forum Rules relating to posting behavior apply!
These should be the first thing you read when you join the forums. They apply everywhere; this means that any behavior prohibited by the Universal Rules is prohibited in this forum. This means no flaming, no trolling, no spamming your signature or emoticons, and no mentioning hacking. Period.
Suggestions Only
This forum is meant only as a place for players to make AdventureQuest-related suggestions and to give feedback on the suggestions of others. Members may create their own threads; you are limited to one thread when making suggestions. When you would like to suggest new material, add the suggestions to your existing thread rather than making a new one.
Only Constructive Criticism and Useful Information
Please make sure to be detailed and constructive in your response to a suggestion. Remember, it's not always so easy to step out of your comfort zone and put something forth to be critiqued. Also include numbers, justification, and precise information in your posts.
If you believe a suggestion requires more work: Why? Does it need more detail? Does it have too much detail? Is it too easy? Too hard? Too similar to something else?
These are the kind of questions you should try to answer when giving feedback on the suggestions of another member.
Include Detail
The more detailed a suggestion, the better chance it will be implemented at some point. You may want to look through the Guide to Suggestions (OR =AQ Suggestions Guide (Lite) V2= for a quick-go-to guide) thread before finalizing your suggestion, as it includes many helpful tips. Another resource, if you decide to write a quest as part of your suggestion, is the AE Fanfiction forum. Eukara's post here explains what is required if you wish to submit your quest for peer review.
However, a good theme is the most important goal of submitting a solid suggestion. It is more important that you have a good idea than perfect numbers.
No Unnecessary Bumping
You may not post in your thread only to move it to the top of the forum. Please be patient; your suggestions are important to us and they will be read regardless of their position in the forum. You are allowed to post in your own suggestions thread if you have new content to add, or if you are replying directly to a piece of criticism or advice posted by another person in your thread. Additionally, never bump someone else's thread for anything less than constructive criticism.
No Advertising of Any Kind
This is included in the Universal Forum Rules, but it bears repeating. Do not advertise your thread in a signature, by private message, in forum posts, or in any other way.
Read and Follow the Frequently Suggested Ideas Thread.
The AQ Suggestions staff maintains a list of common suggestions. Some of these suggestions are simply unworkable, while others may be added at some point in the future. Please be aware of the contents of this thread so you can avoid repeating already suggested ideas.
No Balance Discussion
There should be no balance discussion of any kind in this forum. Suggestions or discussion pertaining to game balance belong in the Game Balance Issues forum. This forum is for suggesting new items, not to suggest changes to existing items.
No Plagiarism
Do not post anything that you did not create as if it is your own work. Credit must be given, regardless of where it came from - IRC, PM, replies etc. Any instance of plagiarism will result in consequences beyond the norm.
All spam rules are in effect, with one exception: AQ Suggestions does allow double posting by the Original Poster only.
This is an essential part of updating a suggestion thread. The creators may need to update changes or new content. Double posting may occur only after the time period of 24 hours has passed since the creator posted last.

For the cleanliness of the forum, we ask that you please not use your signature when posting here.

Any ideas, art, works, or suggestions submitted to Artix Entertainment, LLC (AE), or a member of, become property of Artix Entertainment, LLC (AE). Do not steal the ideas posted here, and give credit if using any material knowingly taken from someone else's ideas. Do not suggest anything taken from an outside source, such as television media, movies, books, or the like. While a parody is acceptable, copyrighted ideas cannot be used word for word as they are in outside sources.
Generic ideas are not copyrighted and are not considered stolen material whether it has been seen in other suggestion threads or in a media resource. In some cases, an idea is already planned for use by Artix Entertainment, and although you are welcome to post your own example of these ideas, be aware that your post may only be used for inspiration toward an idea already in progress or disregarded in entirety.
