For the game I'm working on (the one based on Inquisition), I'm having trouble cutting down the playable character list. It's going to have a bunch of set classes that you can be. I don't have enough to be comfortable making a thread for it now, so if you guys could help me take out a few roles from this, I'd like to get it to around 7 or 8. Keep in mind, I'd like to keep it balanced, so I'd like to try to eliminate around 1 or 2 characters from each group. Knight: A melee warrior focused on typical knightly things, like honor, slaying dragons, saving princesses... Barbarian: A brutish melee warrior. He is much more self interested than the Knight Berserker: Another melee warrior. Typical lightly armored berserking stereotype. Wizard: A magic wielder focused on a very orderly type of magic. Like a D&D type wizard. Sorcerer: Also a magic wielder, but his magic is less orderly. He deals more with forces and elements. Mystic: A magic wielder focused on mental magic. Beastmaster: You know what a beastmaster is. Archer: A living-off-the-land, forest dwelling type of ranger. Thief: Pickpocket, robbery, burglary, that sort of thing. Assassin: The kind that is likely to sneak into someone's house, waiting in the shadows. Tinkerer: Not quite steampunk level of technology, but that sort of thing. Makes gadgets and stuff.
