Necro pretty much summed it up the entire situation. I would like to add many people simply grow out of forums. You become an adult, you get adult responsibilities; not a lot of motivation to play a couple text games anymore. Honestly, the only reason I even stick around is force of habit. Years and years of habit. That is why I still follow Dragonfable (sadly quite passively at this point), and even then I can see my account falling into general disuse in the next few months. As for the forums, I only visit because I need something to fill my time void. The moment that void becomes filled is the moment I will leave. I am more addicted to the internet than most, and even I can see myself growing out of it in a couple of years; imagine what it would be like for those who are not as attached as I am. As another note, it hardly helps matters that the AE forums in general are dying; at the very least, they have stagnated. This subforum has stagnated, too, but the older members are leaving. In that way, the UCaG is tragically in decay, and I do not foresee the decay ever reversing. If you want an additional possible reason, not many take games seriously anymore. The UCaG used to be much, much, much more comparable to the RP forums. Not now, though. Not for the most part.
