Chapter 1: Childhood
The story starts with a boy named Aaron Zachory, a peasent born in Sakna Village in the year 1417. He had short,blonde hair and gleaming blue eyes. He was brave and valorus like the knight he would some day become. He was born in a shanty hut. Aaron was an only child for four years, until one day when he was harvesting he heard crying coming from the house. He runs in and hears his father say "His name is Will". Another year went by and something strange happened, now will can walk and unlike most villagers Aaron can read. He learned it from his father.
That is not the strange part. A gypsy with a purple orb arrived. A villager said in a sorry voice "I hope you understand this. Sorry, outsiders aren't allowed in Sakna Village. The gypsy said "But I need to tell you people something of grave importance. Then I'll leave.". The villager yelled "Only if you don't tell the king, he'll kill us if you do!". "You'll be killed anyway by people in purple robes. In two years. Except one from this village. This person will become the strongest knight ever seen!"she said "Now bye-Bye.".
It happened at the time the gypsy said.
A band of wizards and archers arrived. They wore purple robes with black eyes sewn onto them. They were middle aged with short, black beards. They had no trouble destroying and burning the village. One reason was there was only four small,wooden huts. Aaron ran full speed away, ignoring his bravery. He took only a sack of corn and a knife.
The castle army arrived two days too late. They only saw burned houses and corpses. Or did they? They found a note written by Aaron's dad. The to: section was partially burnt. They could only read "To: Tranqui(The rest of the name was burnt) sorry I'm leaving the dark eye.".
A month later Aaron arrives at Amria the capitol of Arkrandia. The guards ask him why he was here "Aaron said "My village was destroyed. And the Guard asks "By who?". Aaron awnswers "People in purple clothes with black eyes.". The Guard yells "Get in, hurry! ". Amria was very beautiful compared to Sakna Village.
Chapter 2: Knighthood
The knights escort him to the castle to become a knight. The castle is partally painted white but it looks like they gave up 1/4 of the way. Blane was one of the nobles that made fun of him for being a low life peasant. When he did everybody except everybody Aaron and a guy named JoAnn laughed. He starts out weaker but slowly gets stronger. At age twelve he fights and beats Blane. JoAnn was cheering Aaron the whole time.
When Aaron turns 21 he hears a bell ring. Many squires rush and line up in a triple-file line. He looks up and hears a man talking "Hello dere, a new generation of knights will be appried to our great army. They will be making an oath and they can't break it. They're punishment is being hung if they do.".
Blane walks up in a cocky stride and yells "My oath is to protect people when I'm in their town. It makes sense doesn't it? " Not many people clapped or cheered. When he walked away he didn't have much pride. Aaron's oath was to never let a city die out like his' did. Almost everybody clapped. He smiles and walks away. Now it is JoAnn's turn. JoAnn's oath was to find out why the Dark Eye attacked randomly. About half the people cheered as he pridefully walked away. All squires except Blane got a sword with a scabbard that said their first and last name in the runic language.
The older knights inform him of the letter in his house. Now Dubbed- Sir Zach is surprised. He sets out to find out who the letter was supposed to be for.
Chapter 3: Adventure
He searches all of Arkrandia, Gomeh,Tomasitop but no Tranqui anywhere. The only place left to look is the Order of the Dark Eye. As his faliure advanced so did his rage. By the time he gets to the Dark Eye's fortress he was berzerk.
There was a war being won by the Dark Eye. When Sir Zach got there he was a war hero. He cleared a path for the remaining soldiers fighting for Arkrandia. When he was fighting he had a flash back when he was five. His parents said "There is a peasent from Arkrandia that would become the strongest knight in history." He was that peasent! Even more rage filled his body wherever it would fit.
He arrived at the king's door. He broke in with no hesitation. The throne read Tranquinimor. With rage clouding his mind he took a while to find out Tranquinimor had Tranqui in it. Tranquinimor was puzzled. He said “Aaron, how are you alive?". Sir Zach said "Never mind that how do you know my name?" Tranquinimor told him about how tis father was secretly in the Dark Eye and he left only to die along with Sakna Village.
Sir Zach couldn't take it anymore. He yelled LIES!!! and swong his claymore but kept missing. Tranquinimor said "Murdoc come out and kill Aaron". A wizard with a purple robe and cap emerged from a black hall. He put out his hand said "Aaron, kill him now! I have him frozen!" Sir Zach, not having time to think, he charged at and stabbed Tranquinimor. Tranquinimor using all his energy he had left he raised two fingers at Murdoc and said "Now you die".
Lightning charged at Murdoc, but uncontrollably Sir Zach jumped in front of him. Sir Zach falls to the ground, lifeless. Sir Zach got up, but looking back down he sees his body. He looks around but only sees a blank void of endless bright light. He hears the voice "Aaron, get up!" but he can't recall who they are. He rubs his eyes and sees a repeat of the destruction of Sakna Village when the four houses; one for each family, were destroyed. He screams and life seems to fade back to normal. He faintly hears Murdoc saying "Wow I would've died.".
Sir Zach gets up and says "I have a few questions. You got the note from my father. What did it say?". Tranquinimor says "Yes. It told me he he was leaving the dark eye.". That just sprouted two more questions. Sir Zach asked "If you got the note why was it in Sakna Village? And what is this Dark Eye?". Tranquinimor replied "He must of wrote a copy because he knew my army would attack. We are an organization trying to kill all of Arkrandia. We will first invade Gardanos City in 1438.". Tranquinimor put both of his hands in front of him, revealing a black eye painted on his palm.
Chapter 4: Separation
The eye lit up and a powerful force pushed Sir Zach and Murdoc away and out of the castle. Strangely, the grass was very ashen. In the war the dark mages didn't use fireballs and in Arkrandia it is against the law to use magic no matter the cause. Sir Zach asked "Murdoc what year is it?". Murdoc replied "1437, why?". Sir sach took out a map and skimmed around on it until he found Gardanos City then he drew an arrow pointing at it and labeled it: INVASION IN ONE YEAR "Because a city will fall in one year! Murdoc, go to Amria. I'll be there about a week or so later."
So then they split up, possibly never to see each other again. Murdoc comes across a person with long black hair and green eyes that seemed to be the only sourse of light. This person screams "BROTHER!!!"in a unknown accent and charges at Murdoc. Murdoc noticed he had knives in his belt. Murdoc takes out his s. It had a glowing purple orb at the end that seemed to reflect this person's green eyes.
Meanwhile, Sir Zach arrives at Gardanos City. It's name fit it;It had many beautiful gardens each with many strange and exotic plants. The black-haired person said " Aaron you wanted to be a knight not a mage. Plus it is against the law.". Murdoc said "What, that idiot Aaron didn't tell me?And who are you already?!"He said "William Zachory: best assasian in Arkrandia. Just call me Will. By the way what's your's. Murdoc hesitantly says "M-Murdoc And...erson.". Will says " You'll want to take off that robe and drop the staff, Murdoc. If you're going to Arkrandia people can tell you use magic if you don't.". Murdoc says "How should I trust you? You're just some random assasian that calls me you're brother.".
The temporary partners arrive at Amria. Murdoc thinks deeply about his childhood. He was also born into Sakna Village. He was captured. His struggles were futile as hard as he kicked they still held on like walking statues wearing their violet robes.
"Murdoc look in there." Will said, disturbing Murdoc from a thought even as deep as his. Murdoc glared in the castle,now fully painted and sees a knight jotting something down on a piece of paper. Murdoc couldn't make out the paper, but could tell it was multicolored. A weird thing is he wasn't writing, he was connecting dots that he was drawing in places near each other.
Murdoc didn't know what to do. He then thought "If magic isn't allowed here then shouldn't I train in the combat that IS allowed here?". He said to Will "Hey, I'll be at the unarmed combat training center if you need me. He entered a building with a sign that had a fist painted on it. There were many wooden punching bags that needed to be replaced. There were also wrestling stations too. "I'll do that later." he thought. He started punching one of the punching bags. After a small bit he got tired. But he was determined to have a backup for magic, so he continued.
Back at Gardanos City, Sir Zach looked at his sword. It was rusted,bloodstained,dented, and bent at about a 30 degree angle. Sir Zach decided to sell it. He eventually found a weapon shop. He wanted to trade all his money (500 silver coins) and his old sword for a new sword that fit into his runic scabbard perfectly. The shopkeeper said "Here's 500 extra bronze coins for the trip". Sir Zach, being a courteous knight said "Thank You, good sir.".
When Sir Zach exits the shop he immediately encounters a problem. All the buildings are so beautiful he doesn't know which one is the castle. He walks to the most heavily guarded building. "100 bronze coins please." a guard says. "How bout 500?" Sir Zach says and tosses his bag of coins to the guards. They let him in.
Sir Zach enters a large door that seemed to be decorated with Gardanos City's coat-of-arms. Sir Zach notices a brown-haired female with brown eyes sitting on the throne. "Prepare to speak to the duchess." someone said. Sir Zach said "Hire all the troops your money can currently buy! The Dark Eye is going to attack your town in a year! Oh and please tell me the way to Amria. I'm lost.". "Ok and I'm not a good navigator so I might be wrong but I think Amria is north." she nicely said. Sir Zach runs out of the castle and finds north by looking at the moss on trees.
Sir Zach immediately notices he should of saved those 400 coins. All he can think about is his hunger. He hears a noise. A growl. Sir Zach casually thinks it is just his hunger. But he sees a bear running at him! He can't kill the bear. He'll only wound it. It is a bear's nature to try to kill something smaller than it. But just because something is smaller doesn't mean it is weaker. Sir Zach swings his claymore at the bear and wounds it, only making it angrier. He hits the other arm. It drops to the ground, now acting sly.
Sir Zach hears footsteps coming at him. A voice coming from the same direction as the steps said "The duchess sent me here to come with you. She often points travelers in the wrong direction." "Thanks" Sir Zach said as they started north. Sir Zach's gears another growl and thinks it is the bear again but it is his stomach. "Who are you anyway" Sir Zach asked. "I am John Flemmington" this person proudly says as they continue walking.
By night Sir Zach leans against a tree and sleeps. The next day he gets up and sets off again , now even more hungry than the previous day. He talks to John again the y exchanged secrets. John secret was "I admit I can't seem to take things much different from me. Sir Zach's was "I was born a peasant,but now I'm a knight. Now the trees were far behind and they were in a grassland.
Back in Amria Murdoc continued training.
