Where does it say that he wants to become "real"? And I think you should read my posts. The Reset is not relevant here.

On a general note, the cataclysm that made the shadow universe what it is now being man-made is an interesting point. Any comments on this, LB? What was it, Second Impact? <.<

 As I've stated in the past, you really should not be taking Dhows's own word as 100% fact, especially since I confirmed in the past that he's already lied to you before. It would be safer to assume that he speaks either in lies or half-truths, but you're all awfully trusting of his word.

In fact, why would you take any villain's word on anything? Do you all just assume that villains have no reason to lie to you or deceive you?

Where was it stated that Falerin was killed by Dhows? And how is Falerin (or Ardendor) suddenly "resurrected"?

It has been confirmed that he is a shadow entity and that all shadow beings come from the shadow universe, right? Dhows' story about there being a cataclysm matches up with what EhlBe told us of the shadow universe. Sure, it might not have been actually man-made but this would have been the first time you commented on that particular point as far as I can remember and I wanted to see what you had to say.

@Genesis: Read through the "Hall of Memories" to see his death/fragmentation and the first stage of him being reassembled. Check the secret mission from "Mostly Harmful" to see the next stage of him being reassembled.

Skull Kid: You are wrong on two counts. Lord Valoth does not lead the entire MQ Shadowscythe; he is of the same rank of Sepulchure, who was himself an underling. Secondly, the Mysterious Stranger Dhows does not lead any "Shadowscythe," as confirmed by Falerin.

I'm pretty sure the actual Mysterious Stranger was indeed the leader of the Shadowscythe. But since Falerin said that Dhows never lead the Shadowscythe I'm guessing he never bothered to actually lead the species.

I guess the Master leads the Shadowscythe in secret, and I don't think he's been revealed yet.... There was an incident in DF where the MS appears to be the Master, but I REALLY don't buy it until someone flat out says it.


Side note: I havn't played DF since the end of Chapter 1 so if someone has said "MS lead Sepulchure and the Shadowscyth." Then please mention it.

The DF and MQ storylines are not as relevant here as you think, if at all. Those are alternate timelines.

So we really don't know anything about the MS at all? Well, that sucks.... He's powerfull and can break time to troll us thru the Hall of Memories.... Seems every time someone brings the MS up things get overly confusing and complicated with few simple answears.

So I guess the next thing would be how Erimus (Wolfwing) can die in the memories and still be around? And with all this backstory about the orgin of modern Werewolfs, where did the Vampires originate?

Its not the MS who can troll us outside time. Its Dhows. Thats one of Dhows' qualities, not the MS'.

And Erimus didn't die. He was dying. But then he somehow survived. And its pretty obvious how.

We don't know what the vampires' origins are. It is obvious from the dialogue that they existed for quite a long while before Luminovia's collapse, though.

I know. I'm saying that Dhows already existed outside time before becoming the MS. He didn't gain the ability to exist outside time by becoming MS.

 Let's put it even more simply.

It doesn't matter who or what the Mysterious Stranger was in AQ, or even in any other paradigm. That entity no longer exists. It was replaced by Dhows, and despite taking on the Stranger's identity, Dhows has not taken on the Stranger's role. Whatever deeds the Stranger had been planning or might have accomplished, Dhows has not fulfilled them. Dhows has his own agenda.

So while the Stranger and Dhows are effectively the same person in AQ, you shouldn't bother thinking of Dhows as in any way related to the Stranger. It's just another mask he's put on over the years, and now that it's worn out its usefulness...

I agree that it doesn't matter much what the Mysterious Stranger was in AQ beyond the very basic established facts. However, that is not the point here. The point is that people were confused about the connection between him and Dhows which is what I attempted to clarify to the best of my abilities.

This confuses me with DF, so MS in DF is also Dhows?

Also, Katerina was killed by Erimus, but then she was taken to the future alongside Balius, then is she alive* or not?

*I coudn't undead as a form of lie

Well, personally, I find that the best villains have been those who don't have to outright lie to keep the hero reeling or carry out his plans. Truth, I think, serves as a much more powerful tool for any villain, because it makes their words and actions a reality that most villains can't accomplish(hence the lying). Sure, I won't take all villains' words as true, but for those you can... They are often the most dangerous. Just m,y line of thinking on it. :P

2. Katherina wasn't sent into the future. Cara and Balius were.

Ok, and I wasnt, I was stating that the fact that DHows/Erebus replaced all the MS, thus he must have replaced the DF MS, or I could be wrong

He only replaced the Stranger of AQ's timeline. All the other timelines are independent of AQ, so Dhows' actions have not affected them, unless he had enough spare time between trying to screw with this timeline as much as possible to do it in other timelines as well. I'm fairly skeptical of that, and that's without WoG saying he didn't. :P

I generally like to consider myself more or less reasonably informed or fluff/lore of games play, but AQ does present a challenge :P.

To clarify, what exactly is Dhows trying to achieve?
