In comparison to other AE games, ED has the highest learning curve. The reason is simple, you are playing against other players. AQ and DF are complicated but not difficult. They take some time to figure out but since you are the only person you have to worry about and the combatants are NPCs who don't change (almost never change) you have many opportunities to beat them.

ED is constantly changing. Even long time players need time to adjust to the balance changes and the new missions are becoming complicated. Most of the time I'm not even sure where a mission quest line starts. There are also 6 different ways to play ED. There are class specific weapons and skills and there are now class specific missions. All of this makes ED much harder then it used to be and I would say much harder then the other AE games.

I agree with Sparticus.

But I see good in the game being hard to master. I helps me staying interested in the game since it's features are constantly in evolution. It migth also discourage a younger audience, therefore raising the maturity level ingame. Win-win scenario for me

It's like this everywhere. If you're good you win. If you're bad you lose. You either persist and make it to the top or give up.
YES the game is hard. If it weren't we wouldn't be here.

ED requires you to think, to change strategy, to make decisions you aren't prepared for. THIS is what separates the good from the
bad players. Inexperienced players are experienced ones in the making. What is the greatest source of learning? Failure.

So true. Another problem is class balance which is since ever totally out
of control. Why are Cyber Hunter and TaM OPed since around a year now
and only received minor nerfs while other classes like BH and also TM
are weak and lack alot defenses ? TM is meant as a passive, defensive
class but it does not fit well into this role nowadays since heal is no longer
based on support.

I think for begginners the game could be confusing. A tutorial option would
be nice.

they should just put a requirement that after level 29 in order to battle Juggernaut or 2vs2 you need to have gear equip equivalent to your level or higher

1vs1 doesn't matter because you losing is not affecting some else

There should be an offical tutorial on how stats work, such as showing the calculations for doing damage, and stat progressions. Everywhere I go, I see people with 5 or more points wasted.

Actually, how can one define this game as "hard" or "easy"?

You play against other players by using strategy, and sometimes luck.

The only way to define "easy" or "hard" would be to fight NPCs, IMO.
