Alright guys. I've ben following thing thread now, and im still wondering why an obvious 'Purgatorio' reference has been missed.
Has no one heard of The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri? It is broken into three sections: Hell (Inferno) Purgatory (Purgatorio) and Heaven (Paradiso)
And because 4 has came up, I looked at canto 4 for each section.
Canto 4 of the Inferno, it speaks of... well, many things actually. But it mentions a King and Family. Maybe we are looking for the family of a main NPC? Maybe the leaders of the 3 main factions.
"Electra there I saw accompanied
By many, among whom Hector I knew,
Anchises' pious son, and with hawk's eye
Caesar all arm'd, and by Camilla there
Penthesilea. On the other side
Old King Latinus, seated by his child
Lavinia, and that Brutus I beheld,
Who Tarquin chas'd, Lucretia, Cato's wife
Marcia, with Julia and Cornelia there;
And sole apart retir'd, the Soldan fierce."
Looking at Canto IV (4) of the purgatorio break, which there are 34, 33, and 33, cantos for each part respectively, you can see that canto 4 is speaking of finding ones way.
"But if it please thee, I would gladly know,
How far we have to journey: for the hill
Mounts higher, than this sight of mine can mount."
He thus to me: "Such is this steep ascent,
That it is ever difficult at first,
But, more a man proceeds, less evil grows."
Might be a clue. "Good".
Looking at Canto 4 of Paridisio, The main character has questions answered in Heaven.
"These are the questions which thy will
Urge equally; and therefore I the first
Of that will treat which hath the more of gall"
The first question, or in this case, the next clue, has the most 'gall'. It is the hardest to find and understand. The tokens.

This is a direct quote from Scene 1 of Shakespeare's Love's Labors Lost.
Love, family, goodness, heart.... All starting to show up in what I can find. Maybe we are looking in the wrong direction. Maybe 'dark' things and events, like Friday the 13th and darkovia, are not the correct path. Anyone think of look to, perhaps, things like valentines day?
